  • Qt - drag and drop with graphics view framework

    - by David Davidson
I'm trying to make a simple draggable item using the graphics framework. Here's the code for what I did so far: Widget class: class Widget : public QWidget { Q_OBJECT public: Widget(QWidget *parent = 0); ~Widget(); }; Widget::Widget(QWidget *parent) : QWidget(parent) { DragScene *scene = new DragScene(); DragView *view = new DragView(); QHBoxLayout *layout = new QHBoxLayout(); DragItem *item = new DragItem(); view->setAcceptDrops(true); scene->addItem(item); view->setScene(scene); layout->addWidget(view); this->setLayout(layout); } Widget::~Widget() { } DragView class: class DragView : public QGraphicsView { public: DragView(QWidget *parent = 0); }; DragView::DragView(QWidget *parent) : QGraphicsView(parent) { setRenderHints(QPainter::Antialiasing); } DragScene class: class DragScene : public QGraphicsScene { public: DragScene(QObject* parent = 0); protected: void dragEnterEvent(QGraphicsSceneDragDropEvent *event); void dragMoveEvent(QGraphicsSceneDragDropEvent *event); void dragLeaveEvent(QGraphicsSceneDragDropEvent *event); void dropEvent(QGraphicsSceneDragDropEvent *event); }; DragScene::DragScene(QObject* parent) : QGraphicsScene(parent) { } void DragScene::dragEnterEvent(QGraphicsSceneDragDropEvent *event){ } void DragScene::dragMoveEvent(QGraphicsSceneDragDropEvent *event){ } void DragScene::dragLeaveEvent(QGraphicsSceneDragDropEvent *event){ } void DragScene::dropEvent(QGraphicsSceneDragDropEvent *event){ qDebug() << event->pos(); event->acceptProposedAction(); DragItem *item = new DragItem(); this->addItem(item); item->setPos(event->pos()); } DragItem class: class DragItem : public QGraphicsItem { public: DragItem(QGraphicsItem *parent = 0); QRectF boundingRect() const; void paint(QPainter *painter, const QStyleOptionGraphicsItem *option, QWidget *widget = 0); protected: void mouseDoubleClickEvent(QGraphicsSceneMouseEvent *event); void mouseMoveEvent(QGraphicsSceneMouseEvent *event); void mousePressEvent(QGraphicsSceneMouseEvent *event); void mouseReleaseEvent(QGraphicsSceneMouseEvent *event); }; DragItem::DragItem(QGraphicsItem *parent) : QGraphicsItem(parent) { setFlag(QGraphicsItem::ItemIsMovable); } QRectF DragItem::boundingRect() const{ const QPointF *p0 = new QPointF(-10,-10); const QPointF *p1 = new QPointF(10,10); return QRectF(*p0,*p1); } void DragItem::paint(QPainter *painter, const QStyleOptionGraphicsItem *option, QWidget *widget){ if(painter == 0) painter = new QPainter(); painter->drawEllipse(QPoint(0,0),10,10); } void DragItem::mouseDoubleClickEvent(QGraphicsSceneMouseEvent *event){ } void DragItem::mouseMoveEvent(QGraphicsSceneMouseEvent *event){ } void DragItem::mousePressEvent(QGraphicsSceneMouseEvent *event){ QMimeData* mime = new QMimeData(); QDrag* drag = new QDrag(event->widget()); drag->setMimeData(mime); drag->exec(); } void DragItem::mouseReleaseEvent(QGraphicsSceneMouseEvent *event){ } main.cpp instantiates a Widget and shows it. When I try to drag the circle, the app just creates another circle over the original one, regardless of where I release the drag. qDebug() in DragScene's dropEvent() shows QPointF(0,0) everytime the drag ends. I'm having a hard time trying to understand exactly what I have to do, which classes I should subclass, which methods needs to be overriden, to make this work. The documentation on this isn't very detailed. I'd like to know how to make this work, and if there's some other, more comprehensive resource to learn about the graphics view framework, besides the official documentation (which is excellent btw, but it would be great if there was a more detailed treatise on the subject). EDIT: Following badgerr's advice, I replaced item-pos() in DragScene::dropEvent() with item-scenePos(), now the drop event creates a new circle in the drop site, which is more or less what I wanted. But the original circle is still in place, and while the drag is in progress, the item doesn't follow the mouse cursor. The QGraphicsSceneDragDropEvent documentation says that pos() should return the cursor position in relation to the view that sent the event, which, unless I got it wrong, shouldn't be (0,0) all the time. Weird. I've read in a forum post that you can use QDrag::setPixMap() to show something during the drag, and in examples I've seen pictures being set as pixmaps, but how do I make the pixmap just like the graphics item I'm supposed to be dragging?

  • asp:CustomValidator / OnServerValidate

    - by Neil
    I have a CheckBoxList that I am trying to validate that at least one of the checkboxes is checked. Markup: <asp:CustomValidator ID="RequiredFieldValidator8" ValidationGroup="EditArticle" runat="server" ErrorMessage="At least one Category is required." OnServerValidate="topic_ServerValidate" /> <asp:CheckBoxList id="checkboxlistCategories" runat="server"></asp:CheckBoxList> Code-behind: protected void topic_ServerValidate(object source, ServerValidateEventArgs args) { int i = 0; foreach (ListItem item in checkboxlistCategories.Items) { if (item.Selected == true) i = i + 1; } if (i == 0) args.IsValid = false; else args.IsValid = true; } If I add ControlToValidate="checkboxlistCategories" in the CustomValidator control, it blows up! Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

  • Rails 3 Flash Uploader

    - by klynch
I am trying to get Uploadify working with Rails 3. However, I can't insert the middleware with the correct arguments. This is the Rails 2 way: ActionController::Dispatcher.middleware.insert_before( ActionController::Session::CookieStore, FlashSessionCookieMiddleware, ActionController::Base.session_options[:key] ) This is what I have so far for Rails 3: Rails.application.config.middleware.insert_before( Rails.application.config.session_store, FlashSessionCookieMiddleware, Rails.application.config.session_options[:key] ) However, this gives: kevin$hephaestus:$exposure [1035 | 0]% rake middleware (in /Users/kevin/Projects/exposure) rake aborted! protected method `session_options' called for #<Rails::Application::Configuration:0x101eb28d0> (See full trace by running task with --trace) zsh: exit 1 rake middleware When I comment out the session_options argument, the middleware is successfully inserted, but it can't do what it is supposed to. Any suggestions?

  • Conditions on the DetailsView

    - by jpabluz
What is the best way of implementing conditions (requiring fields based in other fields) in a DetailsView? I have this: protected override ICollection CreateFieldSet(object dataItem, bool useDataSource) { var country = new BoundField(); country.DataField = "Country"; country.ReadOnly = ViewState["DifferentAddress"] != null; } I set the ViewState["DifferentAddress"] later, but since the change happens after the controls are created I lost the current state and get the old state. Which is the desired way of doing this? I am in the right path - or should I use another class to do this?

  • MVC2: Best Way to Intercept ViewRequest and Alter ActionResult

    - by Matthew
I'm building an ASP.NET MVC2 Web Application that requires some sophisticated authentication and business logic that cannot be achieved using the out of the box forms authentication. I'm new to MVC so bear with me... My plan was to mark all restricted View methods with one or more custom attributes (that contain additional data). The controller would then override the OnActionExecuting method to intercept requests, analyze the target view's attributes, and do a variety of different things, including re-routing the user to different places. I have the interception and attribute analysis working, but the redirection is not working as expected. I have tried setting the ActionExecutingContext.Result to null and even have tried spooling up controllers via reflection and invoking their action methods. No dice. I was able to achieve it this way... protected override void OnActionExecuting(ActionExecutingContext filterContext) { filterContext.HttpContext.Response.Redirect("/MyView", false); base.OnActionExecuting(filterContext); } This seems like a hack, and there has to be a better way...

  • Intercepting creation of new object.

    - by amctammany
I'm adding a categorization functionality to my app and struggling with it. Objects have many categories through categorizations. I'm trying to intercept the creation of a new categorization, check if theres a similar one, if so, increment it's count, if not, create a new object. Here's what I have so far. validate :check_unique protected def check_unique categorization = Categorization.where(:category_id => self.category_id, :categorizable_id => self.categorizable_id, :categorizable_type => self.categorizable_type) if categorization.first categorization.first.increment(:count) end end

  • ASP.NET MVC unit test controller with HttpContext

    - by user299592
I am trying to write a unit test for my one controller to verify if a view was returned properly, but this controller has a basecontroller that accesses the HttpContext.Current.Session. Everytime I create a new instance of my controller is calls the basecontroller constructor and the test fails with a null pointer exception on the HttpContext.Current.Session. Here is the code: public class BaseController : Controller { protected BaseController() { ViewData["UserID"] = HttpContext.Current.Session["UserID"]; } } public class IndexController : BaseController { public ActionResult Index() { return View("Index.aspx"); } } [TestMethod] public void Retrieve_IndexTest() { // Arrange const string expectedViewName = "Index"; IndexController controller = new IndexController(); // Act var result = controller.Index() as ViewResult; // Assert Assert.IsNotNull(result, "Should have returned a ViewResult"); Assert.AreEqual(expectedViewName, result.ViewName, "View name should have been {0}", expectedViewName); } Any ideas on how to mock the Session that is accessed in the base controller so the test in the descendant controller will run?

  • Session variable getting lost using Firefox, works in IE

    - by user328422
I am setting a Session variable in an HttpHandler, and then getting its value in the Page_load event of an ASPX page. I'm setting it using public void ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) { HttpPostedFile file = context.Request.Files["Filedata"]; context.Session["WorkingImage"] = file.FileName; } (And before someone suggests that I check the validity of file.FileName, this same problem occurs if I hard-code a test string in there.) It's working just fine in IE, but in Firefox the Session Variable is not found, getting the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error in the following code: protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { string loc = Session["WorkingImage"].ToString(); } Has anyone encountered this problem - and hopefully come up with a means for passing the session variable?

  • jQuery form wizard - named anchor links

    - by Jackson
Hi Team, Using: http://home.aland.net/sundman/ to split a complex form in to 4 steps. As well as as the 'next, back and submit' form buttons, I have created a menu above the form: step 1, step 2, step 3, step 4 linking to the hash tags #: #, #1, #2, #3 so the visitor can decide which step they want to view / edit. This works fine in firefox, but in IE and Chrome it does not seem to work. Anyone have experience with hte jQuery history plugin that can tell me the best way to accomplish this? I would like to link to the form but it is in a password protected area and subject to our NDA. If need be I could try and replicate the issue with a form on our server and link here. Thanks, Jack

  • Rails 2.x http basic authentication

    - by randombits
I'm trying to get basic http authentication working on my Rails app. I'm offering a simple REST interface served by a Rails server, only xml/json output. Every method needs authentication, so I put the authenticate filter in ApplicationController: class ApplicationController < ActionController::Base helper :all # include all helpers, all the time before_filter :authenticate protected def authenticate authenticate_or_request_with_http_basic do |u, p| true end end end Even with having the method return true, I'm receiving a 401 from the server: $ curl http://127.0.0.1:3000/myresource/1.xml -i HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized Cache-Control: no-cache WWW-Authenticate: Basic realm="Application" X-Runtime: 1 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Length: 27 Server: WEBrick/1.3.1 (Ruby/1.9.1/2010-01-10) Date: Thu, 03 Jun 2010 02:43:55 GMT Connection: Keep-Alive HTTP Basic: Access denied. If I'm explicitly returning true, yet getting served a 401.

  • Zend_Auth multiple credentials?

    - by azz0r
Login Form: $authAdapter = Zend_Registry::get('authAdapter'); $authAdapter ->setIdentity($formData['email']) ->setCredential($password) ->setCredential(1); Bootstrap: protected function _initAuth(){ $this->bootstrap('db'); $this->bootstrap('session'); $db = $this->getPluginResource('db')->getDbAdapter(); $auth = Zend_Auth::getInstance(); $authAdapter = new Zend_Auth_Adapter_DbTable($db, 'User', 'email', 'password', 'enabled'); Zend_Registry::set('authAdapter', $authAdapter); return $authAdapter; } Obviously since adding 'enabled' its stopped working, if I remove: ->setCredential(1); and 'enabled' from there: ($db, 'User', 'email', 'password', 'enabled'); it works just fine... I would like to only enable users who have an enabled account to login though.

  • ASP.Net GridView GridViewDeleteEventArgs.Keys empty

    - by the berserker
I have following Gridview: <asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" CssClass="table" DataKeyNames="groupId" DataSource="<%# dsUserGroupsSelected %>" DataMember="Group" etc....> and after firing RowDeleting event handler: protected void GridView1_RowDeleting(object sender, GridViewDeleteEventArgs e) e.Keys is empty. Moreover, in runtime if I check dsUserGroupsSelected.Group.PrimaryKey it is poulated with: {System.Data.DataColumn[1]} [0]: {groupId} so it's really odd to me. Am I missing something? I have this kind of a workaround: int groupId = (int)GridView1.DataKeys[e.RowIndex].Value; which will work just fine, but I just can't get it why e.Keys (and e.Values) would be empty!? Any ideas?

  • Send failed from rails server to download in the browser

Hi everybody, I have a web application which has some multimedia files stored in a user protected area. To make this files available to logged in customers, I consider using the x-sendfile plugin. x_send_file(path, :type => 'application/pdf') It is just strange that every time I run this function a empty file gets sent to the browser download. I checked the path which is correct (app fails if I change it to a inexistent file). Actually if I use the rails internal send_file method, the same error occurs... Any help is appreciated! Markus

  • Advice on HTTPS connections using Ruby on Rails

    - by user502052
Since I am developing a "secure" OAuth protocol for my RoR3 apps, I need to send protected information over the internet, so I need to use HTTPS connections (SSL/TSL). I read How to Cure Net::HTTP’s Risky Default HTTPS Behavior aticle that mentions the 'always_verify_ssl_certificates' gem, but, since I want to be more "pure" (it means: I do not want to install other gems, but I try to do everything with Ruby on Rails) as possible, I want to do that work without installing new gems. I read about 'open_uri' (it is also mentioned in the linked article: "open_uri is a common exception - it gets things right!") that is from the Ruby OOPL and I think it can do the same work. So, for my needs, is 'open_uri' the best choice (although it is more complicated of 'always_verify_ssl_certificates' gem)? If so, can someone help me using that (with an example, if possible) because I have not found good guides about?

  • ASP.NET Web Page Not Available

    - by hahuang65
It's pretty difficult to show code for ASP.NET here, so I will try my best to describe my problem. I have a FileUploadControl and a Button that calls a function when it's clicked. It seems that the Button function works when there is nothing chosen for my FileUploadControl. However, when there is something chosen in the FileUploadControl (I have selected a file to upload), there is a problem when I click the button. It completely does not matter what the function does (it could just be writing to a label, even when it has nothing to do with the FileUploadControl). The error I get is: This webpage is not available. The webpage at http://localhost:2134/UploadMedia/Default.aspx might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. I have searched on Google, and people seem to have had problems with this, but different causes from me. They have said that their ASP.NET Development Server port is actually different from their port in the address bar. This is not the case for me. Also, another problem people have had is with Use Dynamic Ports. I have tried both true and false. I have also tried different ports, and I have always gotten the same error. This is really driving me crazy because it doesn't matter what the code in the buttonFunction is, it doesn't work as long as there is something in the FileUploadControl. If there is nothing, it seems to work fine. Here is the code for the ASP.NET Controls: <asp:FileUpload id="FileUploadControl" runat="server" /> <asp:Button runat="server" id="UploadButton" text="Upload" OnClick="uploadClicked" /> <br /><br /> <asp:Label runat="server" id="StatusLabel" text="Upload status: " /> And this is the code for the button function: protected void uploadClicked(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (FileUploadControl.HasFile) { string filename = Path.GetFileName(FileUploadControl.FileName); //Check if the entered username already exists in the database. String sqlDupStmt = "Select songPath from Songs where songPath ='" + Server.MapPath("~/Uploads/") + filename + "'"; SqlConnection sqlDupConn = new SqlConnection(@"Data Source = .\SQLEXPRESS; AttachDbFilename = |DataDirectory|\Database.mdf; Integrated Security = True; User Instance = True;"); SqlCommand sqlDupCmd = new SqlCommand(sqlDupStmt, sqlDupConn); sqlDupCmd.Connection.Open(); SqlDataReader sqlDupReader = sqlDupCmd.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior.CloseConnection); if (sqlDupReader.Read()) { StatusLabel.Text = "Upload status: The file already exists."; sqlDupReader.Close(); } else { sqlDupReader.Close(); //See "How To Use DPAPI (Machine Store) from ASP.NET" for information about securely storing connection strings. String sqlStmt = "Insert into Songs values (@songpath);"; SqlConnection sqlConn = new SqlConnection(@"Data Source = .\SQLEXPRESS; AttachDbFilename = |DataDirectory|\Database.mdf; Integrated Security = True; User Instance = True; uid=sa; pwd=password;"); SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(sqlStmt, sqlConn); SqlParameter sqlParam = null; //Usage of Sql parameters also helps avoid SQL Injection attacks. sqlParam = cmd.Parameters.Add("@userName", SqlDbType.VarChar, 150); sqlParam.Value = Server.MapPath("~/Uploads/") + filename; //Attempt to add the song to the database. try { sqlConn.Open(); cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); FileUploadControl.SaveAs(Server.MapPath("~/Uploads/") + filename); songList.Items.Add(filename); StatusLabel.Text = "Upload status: File uploaded!"; } catch (Exception ex) { StatusLabel.Text = "Upload status: The file could not be uploaded. The following error occured: " + ex.Message; } finally { sqlConn.Close(); } } } } But this buttonfunction provides the same results: protected void uploadClicked(object sender, EventArgs e) { StatusLabel.Text = "FooBar"; } Has anyone had this problem before, or might know what the cause is? Thanks!

  • Why are access modifiers on web service proxy methods important

    - by cand
I'm creating interface to an external web service with C# client generated from WSDL. And in this client class I have methods with signature like: public ResponseType InvokeMethod(RequestType request). I want to change its access modifier to protected, but then web service responds with "web service method name is not valid" exception. Do You know why is that so? I understand that maintaining method name can be important for some reasons, but why can't I change this access modifier? Shouldn't it be a matter of my code what access I want to give to this method? Thanks for all the answers in advance.

  • Convert a byte array to a class containing a byte array in C#

    - by Mathijs
I've got a C# function that converts a byte array to a class, given it's type: IntPtr buffer = Marshal.AllocHGlobal(rawsize); Marshal.Copy(data, 0, buffer, rawsize); object result = Marshal.PtrToStructure(buffer, type); Marshal.FreeHGlobal(buffer); I use sequential structs: [StructLayout(LayoutKind.Sequential)] public new class PacketFormat : Packet.PacketFormat { } This worked fine, until I tried to convert to a struct/class containing a byte array. [StructLayout(LayoutKind.Sequential)] public new class PacketFormat : Packet.PacketFormat { public byte header; public byte[] data = new byte[256]; } Marshal.SizeOf(type) returns 16, which is too low (should be 257) and causes Marshal.PtrToStructure to fail with the following error: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. I'm guessing that using a fixed array would be a solution, but can it also be done without having to resort to unsafe code?

  • How Gridview co-operates with ObjectDataSource?

    - by sanjuro
Hi, how Gridview co-operates with ObjectDataSource internally? When you set DataSourceID of GridView, assigned ObjectDataSource take care of such things as paging and sorting, but i don't have full control above databinding itself, on the other side when i set datasource of gridview in code-behind: protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (!IsPostBack) { testGridView.DataSource = testObjectDataSource.Select(); testGridView.DataBind(); } } Now i have full control, but i have lost the advantage of comfort sorting and paging. And that co-operation between ObjectDataSource and Gridview became mystery for me. So can anybody explain me in details how ObjectDataSource and Gridview co-operates under the hood? I want to understand it in order to write my own smart code or own gridview that will mimic this co-operation. Many thanks for answers.
