  • Front page 2003: how to line up forms vertically

I am trying to creating a form on Frontpage 2003 and right now all my boxes are all over the place, as shown below: Name: [----] Email: [----] I want the boxes to be like this: Name: [----] Email: [----] I have tried using table to line up the boxes but when it come to giving an ID using the 'Lable' on the 'Form' tool bar by highlighting the text box and 'Name', the table get highlighted and wont create an lable. I just want to line up vertically all the boxes and i am new to web design so i dont understand much about HTML or CSS. I dont think Frontpage 2003 has CSS. Can someone tell me how to line up all my boxes. Many thankz

  • Ruby: Parse Excel 95-2003 files?

    Is there a way to read Excel 97-2003 files from Ruby? Background I'm currently using the Ruby Gem parseexcel -- http://raa.ruby-lang.org/project/parseexcel/ But it is an old port of the perl module. It works fine, but the latest format it parses is Excel 95. And guess what? Excel 2007 will not produce the Excel 95 format. John McNamara has taken over duties as the maintainer for the Perl Excel parser, see http://search.cpan.org/~jmcnamara/Spreadsheet-ParseExcel-0.55/lib/Spreadsheet/ParseExcel.pm The current version will parse Excel 95-2003 files. But is there a port to Ruby? My other thought is to build some Ruby to Perl glue code to enable use of the Perl library itself from Ruby. Eg, see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/451636/whats-the-best-way-to-export-utf8-data-into-excel/620612#620612 (I think it would be much faster to write the glue code than to port the parser.)   • How to change RDS licensing mode from 'per user/device' to 'Remote control for administrators' on Wi

    We have installed windows 2008 R2 enterprise on a Dell server. This server is placed remotely in data center and only administrator is going to access it for maintenance purpose. No multiple users or client remote access is needed Now during 'remote desktop services' role installation network admin accidentally selected 'per user/device' licensing mode. Because of which now 120 days free try period is ticking. Since only administrator is going to access this server remotely we need to have 'Remote control for administrators' licensing mode (like windows 2003) on it. How we can change licensing mode from 'per user/device' to 'Remote control for administrators' on 2008 server? Also will it be possible to do this change remotely using RDC session itself? or do i need to change it using physical console (if remote access is gonna be disabled during switch)?

  • NetBackup with VSS and Instant Recovery - Failing to delete old snapshots

    We are attempting to implement Microsoft VSS for snap-shotting in our NetBackup 6.5.3.1 environment. The clients are both 32 & 64 bit Windows 2003 Server. Snapshot parameters are: Instant recovery is enabled Maximum snapshots = 1 Provider type = 1 (System) Snapshot attribute = 1 (Differential) All backups successfully complete, and VSS shadows are successfully created both for the snapshot backup and for the open files (shadow copy components). The Issue: NetBackup is not clearing or overwriting old snapshots with each successive backup. When we list shadows, and shadow storage, it is increasing and increasing. IT is not honouring the Maximum Snapshot setting. The Logs: The bpfis log doesn’t really appear to show any errors other than for methods which we are not employing (VxVM, Flashsnap, etc.).   • How to fix: faulting application w3wp.exe?

    In the Event Viewer: Source: Application Error Category: 100 Event ID: 1000 Faulting application w3wp.exe, version 6.0.3790.3959, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.2.3790.4480, fault address 0x000000000000dd50. This error is happening on my background-app server (not web server). It's happening every 3-5 minutes. What's the problem in laymen's terms? And then the solution? :) Or if this isn't enough info, how can I troubleshoot?

  • Running "Rebuild Index" maintenance plan with "Online indexing"

    Hi I am using Windows Server 2003 SP 2 and SQL Server 2005 Enterprise edition I am creating a "Rebuild Index" job for a particular database and I am successfully able to run the job. But when I try to enable the "Keep index online while rebuilding" option, the job does not execute successfully and throws out errors. I have attached the screenshots.   • Repercussions of Raising Domain Functional Level to 2008 on Mac computers running 10.6.2 with OD

    We have recently replaced all of our 2003 server domain controllers to 2008 r2 and have tried to implement PSO's but have found that the domain functional level must be raised to 2008. We have a mac server in our environment that runs open directory and it is integrated into AD. Does anyone know if I do raise the domain functional level (which makes sense since we only have 2008 r2 domain controllers) what the repercussions (if any) there will be on the macs in the environment? Macs are running 10.6.2 and mac server runs the same. Mac server is running OD and also bound to AD.

I am setting up a BizTalk 2009 Server production environment and I wonder if this tutorial: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc558972(BTS.10).aspx is still fairly accurate for an installation on all the latest platform software (Hyper-V, Windows Server 2008, BizTalk Server 2009, SQL Server 2008)? (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 5120) what can be the problem and how to fix it? Is this folder permission error or sql server 2008 have something missing

    I have a Windows 2008 Server Standard x64 machine that I need to install SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard on then ship it to a different site where it will be joined to a Active Directory domain. The server is now using the default "WORKGROUP" workgroup and i need to know if i can install SQL Server on it then ship it to the other site where it will be joined to the domain without issues. What are the possible problems that could happen? are there any workarounds?

  • Remote desktop session not picking up the extra tray in my printer

    We have a Brother HL-5340D printer with an extra tray installed. The driver is configured locally and is working with the extra tray. However, when I connect into the server (which has the same driver installed), the server is not able to print to the other tray and the printing preferences do not actually show it either. Any ideas?

  • RDP session re-locks right after login

    For some reason, after users do the initial authentication, the system logs in (or unlocks) and locks the screen again within a few seconds (without dropping the RDP session). I've seen this on XP SP3 and Server 2k3. Clients are both major versions of the MS client, and rdesktop. Update: We've seen the issue on a range of machines from 2k3 server (no logon/post logon scripts on servers) to XP SP3. Multiple machines have the same issue - even coming from a fresh and fully patched install.

  • W3WP Process at 100% Utilization

    We're seeing an issue on our production servers where the processor is constantly at 100% utilization (between 2 or 3 w3wp processes). The weird thing is that there are almost no requests to the server, and the application associated with the offending processes is still performing well. By looking at IISPeek, almost nothing is happening on the server, so I'm not sure what else to check. Has anyone run into something like this? Thanks!

    I am trying to tune a SQL Server. Per Brent Ozar's Performance Tuning Video, he says the PerfMon's Paging File:%Usage should be zero or ridiculously close to it. The average metric on my box is around 1.341% The box has 18 GB of RAM, the SQL Server is off, the Commit Charge Total is 1GB and yet the PerfMon metric is not 0. The Performance of the Task Manager states that PF Usage is 1.23GB. What should I do to better tune the box?

  • VPN server on Windows Server 2008 for a small office

    I'm going to refurbish the IT-infrastructure for a small organization with one single office, and I'm not sure what VPN server to use. In your opinion, would the built-in Windows Server 2008 VPN server suffice or are there any specific problems with it as opposed to, for example, OpenVPN? I'd rather run a Windows native VPN server, but if there are few (preferably free) good alternatives, I could install VMware ESXi and virtualize both Windows and an OpenVPN-server. By the way, because of a low budget this office runs a solution with only one physical server. Any advice would be great to help me grasp this field of which I'm quite a novice. Thank you!

  • How to use USB Key in Xen 5.6 Environment?

    I am looking for a way to use USB key on a guest OS running on a 5.6 Xen Server environment. The catch is that I need to actually detect in the Guest OS (Win2003 Server) like an actual USB Key. Attaching it as a storage drive doesnt work (It is a key with special attributes that servers as a licensing mechanism). Just wondering if anyone has had a similar need and found a good solution?
