• Deep recursion in WHM EasyApache software update causes out of memory

  I was trying to load some modules with EasyApache in a software update (WHM) cause I need to install Magento ecommerce. I did the first EasyApache update. However, one module I needed was not loaded. • Apache2 Segfault - need help interpreting this coredump (suspect cause is memcache / php session related)

  Three Apache2 web servers running a PHP 5.2.3 web site. We're using Memcache to cache rendered pages but also as the storage engine of the PHP Sessions. At peak traffic times we're getting Apache segmentation faults on all three web servers and all HTTPD child processes segfault. My gut tells me that the increased Memcache traffic is stopping PHP sessions from being created or cleaned up and thus the processes die.   Hi, I am using a Media Temple DV server with CentOS upon trying to install ImageMagick via yum, I get the following error: There was a problem importing one of the Python modules required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was: /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/rpm/_rpmmodule.so: undefined symbol: rpmdbCheckTerminate Please install a package which provides this module, or verify that the module is installed correctly. It's possible that the above module doesn't match the current version of Python, which is: 2.4.3 (#1, May 24 2008, 13:47:28) [GCC 4.1.2 20070626 (Red Hat 4.1.2-14)] Can anyone shed some light on what I might be able to do to fix this? • RSS feed doesnt display items. Only title

  So i just made my first RSS feed, or so i tought, in combination with CI. Now my view DOES display the top of my rss page (Title and Description), But all items are omitted. When i rightclick-view source it DOES contain all the items within the item tags. Can anyone help me? • VMXNET3 nic loses the ability to update ARP table after N hours

  I have a fedora 18 VM that stops updating the arp table on eth1 after running for a number of hours to days. There are other VMs on the same hypervisor that can access all of the same networks without issue. A tcpdump of the offending NIC shows only ARP broadcasts but no responses. None of the other VMs on the vDS see the ARP broadcasts from the offending NIC. The only way I can currently solve the problem is to reboot the VM and then everything works for a while. I've tried changing the port on the vDS and even flipping the network configurations after I lose eth1's ARP table, but the ARP problem follows eth1 but I can access the machines that were originally on eth1. If I statically add the arp entries for machines on the same subnet I have no problems with connectivity. The Hypervisor is an HP BL49X series with flex-10 network modules. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

  We had our samba server (ubuntu 8.04 ltr) share fill up the other day but when I went to look at it I cant see any of the shares have to much on them we have 5 group shares and then each users has an individual share one users has 22gigs of stuff a few others have 10-20mb of stuff and everyone else is empty so maybe like 26gigs total I deleted a few files yesterday and freed up about 250mb of space today when i checked it it was completely full again and i deleted some older files and freed up about 170mb of stuff but i can watch it slowly creep down in free space. I keep running a df -h Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/sda1 241690180 229340500 169200 100% / varrun 257632 260 257372 1% /var/run varlock 257632 0 257632 0% /var/lock udev 257632 72 257560 1% /dev devshm 257632 52 257580 1% /dev/shm lrm 257632 40000 217632 16% /lib/modules/2.6.24-28-generic /volatile what can I do to try to hunt down whats taking up so much of my hdd? (im fairly new to unix in general so i apologize if this is not well explained)

• Apache, modifying response codes from 404 to 301

  Hi, I'm running a magento installation on an apache server. There are many pages indexed in both google and linked to from external sites. I can't use 301 redirects in a .htaccess file as I can't be sure I will catch all the links. At the moment all requests are rewritten through magento and if a request isn't found magento returns a 404 File not Found. Is there a way of using one of the apache modules to filter the response* from magento and if a 404 Not Found is being sent back then replace the response with a standard 301 Redirect to the home page? E.g. Request to Magento -- Apache -- Rewrite to Magento index.php page -- page processed. Response if request exists -- return results (200) if request doesn't exist -- return 404 -- apache filter change response -- return 301 redirect to / I appreciate any help. Thanks, Jon as far as I am aware mod_rewrite is only used to rewrite requests and doesn't allow the modification of responses.

  I'm upgrading php on my server but I'm running into a problem with phpize and compiling external modules. phpize -v reports: Configuring for: PHP Api Version: 20041225 Zend Module Api No: 20090115 Zend Extension Api No: 220090115 But on my test server (which I'm trying to replicate) I get this: Configuring for: PHP Api Version: 20090626 Zend Module Api No: 20090626 Zend Extension Api No: 220090626 I'm running debian squeeze, pulling the php 5.3.0-2 packages from the experimental repo. The difference betweent he two servers is that the first server has had old verisons of php on it, and the test server was installed with php 5.3.0-2 from the start. I've attempted uninstalling all PHP packages from the first server (using --purge to get rid of all the config files) and re-installing 5.3 fresh, but I'm still having the same issue. Help!

File does not exist: /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/sickbeard Which I think means it's ignoring the ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse directives? Anyone know why this may be? For what it's worth, this setup used to work under Lion.   I am using Fedora 12, the problem I am facing is USB 2.0 write speed. I have a dual boot system with Windows XP and Fedora 12. USB 2.0 write speed in Windows XP is much faster then what I am getting in Fedora 12. After searching Google I came to know that ehci_hcd module is missing/not present in my system. ehci_hcd module is neither loaded nor it is present in the available list of modules. Can someone guide me how to fix this issue? Does ehci_hcd have something to do with USB 2.0 write speed? Do I have to recompile the kernel and add/enable the ehci_hcd module?

Then this code still just provides me with an empty file with 0 bytes: file_path = '/path/to/protected/files/some_file.zip' file_name = 'some_file.zip' response = HttpResponse('', mimetype='application/zip') response['Content-Disposition'] = 'attachment; filename=%s' % smart_str(file_name) response['X-Sendfile'] = smart_str(file_path) return response And there is not in the Apache error log that pertains to XSendFile. • Can not boot CentOS VM using VirtIO in KVM

  I converted qcow2 image to raw and changed I/O bus to VirtIO for a VM. now I can't boot that VM. I Installed VirtIO driver with following command: mkinitrd --with virtio_pci --with virtio_blk -f /boot/initrd-$(uname -r).img $(uname -r) and these are related kernel modules: virtio_balloon 11329 0 virtio_blk 11593 3 virtio_pci 11845 0 virtio_ring 8513 1 virtio_pci virtio 9541 3 virtio_balloon,virtio_blk,virtio_pci and this is what happens during boot-up. I also changed /boot/grub/device.map from "(hd0) /dev/sda" to "(hd0) /dev/vda" but problem still exists. any ideas how to fix this ? This is my default option to boot: title CentOS (2.6.18-308.13.1.el5) root (hd0,0) kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.18-308.13.1.el5 ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 initrd /initrd-2.6.18-308.13.1.el5.img

  I read a lot of server error 500 questions related to the famous .htaccess file but I have still not found an answer to this error. I have a folder which I used to test the .htaccess file. =>http://localhost/xampp/example/ I copied the .htaccess in the example folder and I get server error 500 my .htaccess file contains this: <IfModule mod_expires.c> ExpiresActive on ExpiresByType image/png "access plus 1 days" </IfModule> I have changed my httpd.conf file: all AllowOverrride None to AllowOverride All i have also uncommented this line: LoadModule expires_module modules/mod_expires.so error.log says: ExpiresActive not allowed here I still get the error 500 What is actually happening?
