  • VB.net Dataset display different column

    Hello, I am sure this has to a comon thing I just can't find it. I am making a combobox from my data source. Basically, This is a projects form and the user needs to select the the primary contact which is contrained by the customer id (GETbyCustomerID) set in another field. I have it working... mostly except the combobox only displays the contact ID which is completely useless to the user. I need to know how to display the First and Last name (both are seperate columns in the table). Any help? I am just using the designer.

  • How to move many files in multiple different directories (on Linux)

    My problem is that I have too many files in single directory. I cannot "ls" the directory, cos is too large. I need to move all files in better directory structure. I'm using the last 3 digits from ID as folders in reverse way. For example ID 2018972 will gotta go in /2/7/9/img_2018972.jpg. I've created the directories, but now I need help with bash script. I know the IDs, there are in range 1,300,000 - 2,000,000. But I can't handle regular expressions. I wan't to move all files like this: /images/folder/img_2018972.jpg -> /images/2/7/9/img_2018972.jpg I will appreciate any help on this subject. Thanks!

  • Using different validation rules based on user input.

    I have a simple form: a combobox and a textbox. My combobox has 2 values: A and B. When value A is selected I want textbox to use a validation rule. When value B is selected there should be no validation rules applied to the textbox. I've read an article that has a solution and I'm trying to use it, but had no luck so far, and I think there might be a more elegant solution. Has anyone done anything like this before? Any ideas are highly appreciated.

  • A pointer member variable having different values

    Ok, to begin with, this is my code: HyperSprite::HyperSprite() { _view = 0; } void HyperSprite::publish(QGraphicsView* view) { _view = view; } void HyperSprite::getKFrame() { if(_view != 0) { qDebug()<<(void*)_view; } } Now, if I call HyperSprite::getKFrame() from within main(), I get the output: 0xbf8ffb84 I have a TCP server, which requires this QGraphicsView* variable. So whenever a new connection is made, HyperSprite::getKFrame() is called. However, whenever I make a connection to my server, this is the output: 0x1e425ff I honestly don't understand this. Shouldn't the value of a member remain same throughout? Why is the pointer value changing? As is obvious, whenever I try to use the _view pointer to access any of its members, a Segmentation Fault occurs. I tried using QSharedPointer, but it also results in the same problem. The data of the QSharedPointer automatically changes. Why is this happening?

    Hi, I want to post some data via javascript to another domain. Something like: http://www.othersite.com/submitfunnyname?name=blah The other site (othersite.com) has a REST interface that you can call (well actually this is a get example) to submit a funny name to them. Can I do this already with javascript? I'm a little confused on this - I know if that service wants to return some data, I'd need to use something like JSON-P - even though here I'm submitting some data, I guess the service will return some message structure letting me know the result, so it would have to be JSON-P, right?     Hi I'm having a hard time getting started to layout code for this problem. I have a fixed amount of random numbers, in this case 8 numbers. R[] = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 }; That are going to be placed in 3 sets of numbers, with the only constraint that each set contain minimum one value, and each value can only be used once. For example: R1[] = { 1, 4 } R2[] = { 2, 8, 5, 6 } R3[] = { 7, 4 } I need to loop through all possible combinations of a set R1, R2, R3. Order is not important, so if the above example happened, I don't need R1[] = { 4, 1 } R2[] = { 2, 8, 5, 6 } R3[] = { 7, 4 } NOR R1[] = { 2, 8, 5, 6 } R2[] = { 7, 4 } R3[] = { 1, 4 } What is a good method?

But with regular for loop, the code does not work. I am able to get the event notification whenever Google Finance page loads. Now problem is this that contents of this page is not accessible through javascript. It seems to be some security issue (firebug notified). Is there any workaround so that I can access values (result and select boxes) using javascript?     I have put together a Skin for OpenHome but have since ran across AHome code for their IPhone theme and was wondering that if I included for AHome their Dock_Bg or widget_drawer among other things which is not on OpenHome that the Launcher for the respective screen replacement would just call the items it uses.I want to keep the mb as low as I can but reach more handsets.I can just make seperate ones but see many that include even Freshface as well as OpenHome and AHome.

    I keep getting this weird output from my code everytime I use the 'start without degugging' (ctrl-F5) as opposed to normal 'debug' (F5).     In VS2005 I have multi-project solution. Two of the projects use an external set of DLLs to create a report, using report definition data taken from an SQL Server. One of the projects creates the report just fine, but the other project results in an Exception. I have checked that the projects are referencing the same versions of the all the DLLs and they appear to be identical. What could the cause of this problem?

  • Different characters take more/less data?

    I am working on a personal project and I'm wondering if certain characters take up more data in a text file than others. I need to choose a character to seperate items in my file, but if a 0 uses less bytes than a ! or something, it would be best to do that. I know all characters have an ASCII value, but would a lower ASCII value mean the character can be stored in fewer bytes? This might be an incredibly stupid question, but I don't see any information on the topic online so I came here to check. Thanks!
