• Touch Event Not Work With PinchZoom

  I was implemented pinch zoom functionality for my tower of defense game. I manage different entity to display all the towers. From that entity game player select the tower and drag to the actual position where he want to plot the tower. I set the entity in HUD also, so user scroll and zoom the region, the tower become visible all the time. Basically I have created the different entity to show and hide towers only so I can manage it easily. My problem is when I have not perform the scroll and zoom the tower touch and the dragging easily done but when I zoom and scroll the scene at that time the tower touch event does not call so the player can not able to drag and drop it to actual position. So anybody please help me to come out of it.

• PCManFM problems: shuts down unexpectedly, would not always start [closed]

  In Lubuntu 12.04 beta (final release in a few days). I do not remember doing something outrageous to my PCManFM but now it has has a lot of problems: "extract here" menu action wouldn't work (this problem never disappears) the program shuts without obvious reason making the desktop empty (the program can be started in run (alt-f2) but this does not alway restore the desktop) would not start sometimes from its /usr/share/applications.desktop file (or the "Aplication Launch Bar") although it starts in run (alt-f2) (the last problem is temporarily solved if the program is closed in task manager and than restarted with alt-f2) I have reinstalled it to no avail. Any ideas?

• Restrict user to folder (not root) on VSFTPD in Ubuntu

  I am a new Linux (Ubuntu) user and have a VPS where I am setting up a backup FTP service. I have followed this guide, which I have managed to do correctly and it works. I have two users (user1 and user2) with the same directory /home/users/test. user1 can read/write and user2 can only read. This works OK. When the users log in, they go straight into the correct directory /home/users/test, but they can navigate back down to the home directory, which I do not want to happen. I cannot seem to find out how to not allow this, and have them not be able to navigate back to the /home/ or /home/test/ directories.

• I can not print on Windows 7 shared printer

  For a while I can not print from my Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit pc on a Windows 7 shared printer. Before that everything was ok. The printer is HP LaserJet 1100. The error message is: "File "/usr/lib/cups/backend/smb" not available: No such file or directory" I have tried to reinstall the samba, I have configured the workgroup properly. I have tried to reinstall the printer on the Ubuntu machine with the proper address, or with lpd (I have read somewhere). If I restart the printer on the cups web interface ("Resume Printer") the problem seems to be solved, but not. (The printer seems to be idle, and if I want to print, I still get the error message.) I have checked the share rights on the Windows 7 pc, and I think it is ok.

• Can not export JARS in lwjgl!

  I did it before but for some reason it's doing the stupid problem again. I want to export as a regular Jar file, not a folder full of files. I export it like in Oskar Veerhoak. cmd says Exception in thread "main" java.lang.RuntimeException: Resource not found: res/F lubberFlap.png at org.newdawn.slick.util.ResourceLoader.getResourceAsStream(ResourceLoa der.java:69) at com_FlubberSpace.MainFS.main(MainFS.java:118) I tested it out with my other project with the same code pretty much. This is how I load my Textures wood = TextureLoader.getTexture("PNG", ResourceLoader.getResourceAsStream("res/wood.png")); of course it works fine in eclipse but not after export. I havn't tried giving the previous game its' own project, I have it in a package. Can someone record how to export properly? I want a jar file that you just double click to start it. I also want it so nobody can extract the files and see my classes and res.

• Starcraft 2 not displaying map in game

  I installed Starcraft II wings of liberty via playonlinux, it installed fine, it starts up fine, but when I go into a game the map does not show, it is just black, but all my buildings/units/mineral line shows up, but everything else is black, also all the abilities do not have any graphics, and I can not see my player portrait in the menus. I am on a 32 bit version of ubuntu 12.04 with wine 1.5.10 I think it is probably a missing package I need to install...but I have no clue which one it would be, or if it is even that. • knetworkmanager not starting at all

  It seems that my knetworkmanager is not starting anymore. Read: In KDE4's sys tray I don't have a icon to manage my networks. Also when starting it from terminal or kick off menu literally "nothing" happens. I don't know what's wrong with it. Sadly after reading this answer on superuser.com it seems I can not connect to wifi via iwconfig 'cause my network is WPA2 encrypted. (Basically I can not set they passphrase - invalid argumenterror.) So it seems I've to get knetworkmanger running again as I also can't download other tools. I've tried stuff like sudo service network-manager restart but it didn't seem to help. I'm kinda puzzled so any help for this would be appreciated. PS: If it hasn't become clear: The whole drama of is simply I can't connect to wifi and internet :o)

• Wi-Fi not working only on Ubuntu computer?

  The Wi-Fi at our house does not work on my Asus notebook running Ubuntu 12.04. It works fine on all other devices except this one. Internet worked fine before I had Ubuntu and I had Windows 7, but we also had a different ISP and place. My roommate's Windows 7 notebook and netbook both work fine with the internet and so do all of our phones and iPods. I do not know what is wrong because it works fine EVERYWHERE else, but when I am connected to my own router at my house it is either EXTREMELY slow or it just loads and loads and loads. I have all of the correct drivers and all that so why is it just this one connection that is a problem. I do not know if this matters but the ISP is Comcast and so is the Modem/wireless-router. Any help is much appreciated, thank you.

• USB audio device not detected [solved]

  I've been having problems with USB sound for some time (it used to work about 6 months ago). I find that any USB sound device that I connect is not recognised, and is not listed by aplay -l I've tried disabling pulseaudio. I've tried purging and re-installing alsa-base, pulseaudio, and pavucontrol. To no avail. I'm using 12.04 LTS. I found the solution: 12.04 does not have the needed kernel module snd-usb-hiface this is introduced in the 3.11.1 kernel and installing that on 12.04 gives USB sound for my equipment. • Ivar definitions show 'long' type encoding as 'long long' type encoding

  I've found what I think may be a bug with Ivar and Objective-C runtime. I'm using XCode 3.2.1 and associated libraries, developing a 64 bit app on X86_64 (MacBook Pro). Where I would expect the type encoding for the following "longVal" to be 'l', the Ivar encoding is showing a 'q' (which is a 'long long'). Anyone else seeing this? • Need help troubleshooting why Solr wont start (or why solr admin page wont show)

  I can't get Solr working. I have Jetty, and my server OS is Ubuntu 9.10. It is a VPS server. So, when I execute the java -jar start.jar everything seems fine. I even do a netstat to check if there are any listeners on the port before the start and after the start, and it seems solr is starting. However, I cant access the admin page. I have even turned off the firewall. Here is some info about my server: I have changed DocumentRoot to var/www/SV/ I have Apache2, PHP5, MySql installed I have "disabled" iptables firewall I have removed the htaccess files (I used them to passw protect my site under develop) I have installed JRE (NOT JDK) on my server. I use the "example" which comes with Solr, so I use Jetty as container on my Server. My Server has 768MB RAM Doing a java -version command shows this: java version "1.6.0_15" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_15-b03) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 14.1-b02, mixed mode) And in the terminal the last lines when executing start.jar is: May 29, 2010 1:30:03 PM org.apache.solr.core.SolrCore registerSearcher INFO: [] Registered new searcher Searcher@1dc64a5 main NOTE: Also before this last line, there is a line which makes me suspicious: Started SocketConnector @ 0.0.0.0:8983 // Should this be with leading zeros?   I have a model similar to the following (simplified): models.py class Sample(models.Model): name=models.CharField(max_length=200) class Action(models.Model): samples=models.ManyToManyField(Sample) title=models.CharField(max_length=200) description=models.TextField() Now, if Action.samples would have been a ForeignKey instead of a ManyToManyField, when I display Action as a TabularInline in Sample in the Django Admin, I would get a number of rows, each containing a nice form to edit or add another Action. However; when I display the above as an inline using the following: class ActionInline(admin.TabularInline): model=Action.samples.through I get a select box listing all available actions, and not a nifty form to create a new Action. My question is really: How do I display the ManyToMany relation as an inline with a form to input information as described? In principle it should be possible since, from the Sample's point of view, the situation is identical in both cases; Each Sample has a list of Actions regardless if the relation is a ForeignKey or a ManyToManyRelation. Also; Through the Sample admin page, I never want to choose from existing Actions, only create new or edit old ones.

• Full Text Search MSSQL2008 show wrong display_item for Thai Language

  I am working on MSSQL2008. My task is to investigate the issue that why FTS cannot find the right result for Thai. First, I am having the table which enable the FTS on the column 'ItemName' which is nvarchar. The Catalog is created with the Thai Language. Note that, Thai language is one of the language that doesn't separate the word by space so '????' '???' '????' are written like this in the sentence '???????????' In the table, there are many rows that include the word (????) for examples row#1 (ItemName: '???????????') On the webpage, I try to search for '????' but SQLServer cannot find it. So I try to investigate it by trying the following query in SQLServer select * from sys.dm_fts_parser(N'"???????????"', 1054, 0, 0) To see how the words are broken. The first one is the text to be break. The second parameter is specify that using Thai (WorkBreaker, so on). and here is the result: row#1 (display_item: '????', source_item: '???????????') row#2 (display_item: '????', source_item: '???????????') row#3 (display_item: '??', source_item: '???????????') Notice that the first and second row display the worng display_item '?' in the '????' isn't even Thai characters. '?' in '????' is not Thai charater either. So the question is where is those alien characters come from? I guess this i why I cannot search for '????' because the word breaker is mis-borken and keeping the wrong character in the indexes. Please help!

  Hey, I am calling a bunch of posts under a certain post type in WordPress which works but I am trying to add a conditional that will check first if those post's custom meta field (labeled "disc") is equal to the current post's title. • git doesn't show where code was removed.

  So I was tasked at replacing some dummy code that our project requires for historical compatibility reasons but has mysteriously dropped out sometime since the last release. Since disappearing code makes me nervous about what else might have gone missing but un-noticed I've been digging through the logs trying to find in what commit this handful of lines was removed. I've tried a number of things including "git log -S'add-visit-resource-pcf'", git blame, and even git bisect with a script that simply checks for the existence of the line but have been unable to pinpoint exactly where these lines were removed. • UIWebview does not show up into UINavigationController

  Hi I have a tabBar application. In the first tab, I have a navigation bar. In this navigation bar I have a table view. When the user clicks a cell of the table, it goes to another table view, and when the user clicks a cell in that table, it goes to a webview to open a web page. Basically, it goes fine until opening the webview. In the webview, viewDidLoad is called and seems to work properly. However, webViewDidStartLoad is never called and the web page never shows up. I am not using IB. I build the UITabBarController in the AppDelegate, where I also assign an instance of my UINavigationController for each tab. I call the webview from the second UITableViewController as follows: rssWebViewController = [[webViews objectAtIndex: indexPath.row] objectForKey:@"controller"]; [[self navigationController] pushViewController:rssWebViewController animated:YES]; I have checked that the navigationController is there and it seems just fine. • Show users a list of unique items on Java Google App Engine

  I've been going round in circles with what must be a very simple challenge but I want to do it the most efficient way from the start. So, I've watched Brett Slatkin's Google IO videos (2008 & 2009) about building scalable apps including http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgaL6NGpkB8 and read the docs but as a n00b, I'm still not sure. I'm trying to build an app on GAEJ similar to the original 'hotornot' where a user is presented with an item which they rate. Once they rate it, they are presented with another one which they haven't seen before. My question is this; is it most efficient to do a query up front to grab x items (say 100) and put them in a list (stored in memcache?) or is it better to simply make a query for a new item after each rating. To keep track of the items a user has seen, I'm planning to keep those items' keys in a list property of the user's entity. Does that sound sensible? I've really got myself confused about this so any help would be much appreciated.

  I have some c++ code using CImg and Eigen libraries. At the c++ code I define a plugin like this #define cimg_plugin1 "my_plugin.h" #include "CImg.h" The plugin contains many method definitions that are used at the c++ code. I also have a makefile that when called from the command line (./make), allows me to compile everything, and generates an executable. I want to import this code into a new Eclipse project, and I do it so: NewProjectC++ projectmakefile projectempty project unmark "Use default location", and select the folder containing my code at the filesystem ProjectpropertiesC/C++ Buildunmark "Use default build command" and set it to use my makefile Also in project propertiesC/C++ GeneralPaths and SymbolsAdd paths to folders containing Eigen and CImg Rebuild index Clean project Restart eclipse When I build the project, eclipse tells me I have more than 1000 errors in "my_plugin.h", but it is capable to generate the executable. Even though, I would like to get rid of this errors, because they are annoying. Also, if I want to open the declaration of CImg methods used at the plugin, I can't. I know it has been asked before, but any of the solutions I found were satisfactory for me (most of them enumerated at the previous list). The sources I visited are the following, and I would be really happy if you find and tell me others I didn't see. • Vim - show diff on commit in mercurial;

  In my .hgrc I can provide an editor or a command to launch an editor with options on commit. I want to write a method or alias that launches $ hg ci, it would not only open up message in Vim, but also would split window and there print out $ hg diff. I know that I can give parameters to vim by using +{command} option. So launching $ vim "+vsplit" does the split but any other options goes to first opened window. So I assume i need a specific function, yet I have no experience in writing my own Vim scripts. The script should: Open new vertical split with empty buffer (with vnew possibly) In empty buffer launch :.!hg diff Set empty buffer file type as diff :set ft=diff I've written such function: function! HgCiDiff() vnew :.!hg diff set ft=diff endfunction And in .hgrc I've added option: editor = vim "+HgCiDiff()" It kind of works, but I would like that splited window would be in right side (now it opens up in left) and mercurial message would be focused window. Also :wq could be setted as temporary shortcut to :wq<CR>:q! (having an assumption that mercurial message is is focused). Any suggestions to make this a bit more useful and less chunky? • Resize iframe to show first element works except in IE 7

  I have two iframes on my home page, the script below is in the head of the page that is being displayed in the iframe, there are several divisions on the page in a container div with an id of 'content', I want to size the iframe on the home page so that just the first div is initially seen and to scroll to see the rest. It is working in all browsers that I have tried except IE 7, I don't care too much about earlier browsers. IE 7 is acting like the page being shown is blank and sizing the iframe to 0 height, can someone tell me why IE 7 is having a problem with it, and failing that how can I get IE 7 to ignore the script? function resizeIframe() { //get the firstChild of a container div with the id 'content' var div01 = document.getElementById("content").firstChild; //find the first element ignoring white spaces and returns while(div01.nodeType!=1){ div01 = div01.nextSibling; } // get the height of first element var boxHeight = div01.clientHeight; //set the height of iframe the id of the iframe is 'news' parent.document.getElementById('news').height = boxHeight; } I have the function called in the body tag.
