In this post I will be providing you with a hands-on example on the JQuery Image Zoom Plugin.If you want you can have a look at this post, where I describe the JQuery Cycle Plugin.You can find another post of mine talking about the JQuery Carousel Lite Plugin here.I will be writing more posts regarding the most commonly used JQuery Plugins. I have been using extensively this plugin in my websites.You can use this plugin to move mouse around an image and see a zoomed in version of a portion of it. In this hands-on example I will be using Expression Web 4.0.This application is not a free application. You can use any HTML editor you like. You can use Visual Studio 2012 Express edition.     I am supposed to send some artwork to the printers tomorrow and their guidelines requires it to be CMYK. I have installed the plugin Separate+ from the 'gimp-plugin-registy' package. I have also installed some ICC colour profiles from the 'icc-profiles' package. When I try to use the Separate+ plugin all I can get it to output is an image that looks like the original but with the colours inverted. How can I convert my image to CMYK?

  • Printer image correction

    Here is my problem: my printer and scanner (HP psc2410xi) prints darker than the photos taken and teh scanner has a background fuzz. I want to create and install files to have the printer lighten the photos it prints (yellow becomes dark yellow, etc) and delete the "fuzz" from the scanner image (you can see it on a blank scan and yes I did clean the scanner). I'm thinking there is a way to take a printed image, scan that in, and subtract the two images from each other to get the correction factor.

    I want to create a game, where the world is loaded from an image file, much like Paradox Interactive does it for their games. If I have this image: Then the red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, white, black and grey should be different provinces. I know how to loop through them, and check if it's a new province, the problem is that I don't know how to define the region of the province for selection: I don't know how I can load in data, to make sure you can click anywhere on that province, and make sure it gets selected.

    I am working on a project in Asp.net MVC and need to work with images. There is an SQL database with a Product table. Every product in the table will have it's own image. I have two ways to do this : 1) Save the image in a web directory and store the URL on database. 2) Store the image in SQL itself in binary format and then retrieve it. Which is a better approach ? Mind you, I have no idea how second method works :-P . I will only learn this if there are merits to the second method

  • Is there a way to export all the images of my tweening effect in Flash?

    i'm using Flash to create the animation of my character in 2D (i'm just beginning). Is it possible to make a tween effect of a character, and then automatically export all the images/frames? So far, it's a bit fastidious : i create my tweening effect, then i put a keyframe for each frame i want to copy and paste, then i select the movieclips and shapes and copy and paste them into another flash document, i position those clips at the exact same location as the previous image, then i erase the previous image and export the image... For 30 frames! Is there any faster way? Thanks

    I am developing Discvur, a simple Imgur viewer, for the Ubuntu App Showdown. Therefore I use quickly + Glade + Gtk + Python. PyGObject instead of PyGtk would be highly appreciated. I would like to display some animated gifs in my program. What I tried was inserting a viewport, then an image, and then in the 'Edit Image' field I selected a gif animation (in my case "../media/akO1i.gif"). When I run my app, the gif is displayed but it is not moving (I only see the first frame). Is it possible to show animated gifs in my app? What is the best and/or easiest way to do it: use the image widget, or a WebKit field, or something else?

  • Firewire hard drive with Leopard install image won't boot from PPC Mac Mini

    I have a Mac Mini (G4 - 1.25 GHz PowerPC) running osx 10.3.9. I want to upgrade it to 10.5 (Leopard). The problem is that I only have a CD and no DVD. After working through all of these issues, I got myself a firewire hard drive and both a 10.4 and 10.5 image that I could image on to the hard drive. I was able to successfully boot off the firewire drive with the 10.4 image. However, I am not able to boot off the firewire drive with the 10.5 image. When trying to boot under the 10.5 image I specify the firewire drive as the startup drive. However, it just boots to the internal (10.3) drive. Any idea why it won't boot to the 10.5 image?

    I have access to a dedicated server, and I would like to set up a Ventrilo server on it. I don't plan to profit from this Ventrilo server, but their website is quite vague about the legality of hosting a Ventrilo server (< 1000 slot, mind you) without paying for a license. Licensing looks fairly expensive considering I will never have more than a couple hundred slots in use. In summary: if I am hosting a Ventrilo server with less than a thousand slots, do I need to pay for a license?

When i enquired them they said that they will enable to people who personally request for that option. And they said it is a matter of 2 minutes work and asked for my control panel username and password. They said that it is just updating the php.ini for my account. So i want to know how to do it myself. If that could be done by them in 2 minutes then why cant a developer. I asked them but they mumbled... saying not to give trouble to me. so i want to know how to edit php.ini or something like stated above my hosting is using cPanel control panel. suggestions please.

  • How to convert eps file to a large jpeg image

    Hello, I am using Linux. I want to convert an eps file to jpeg file. I find that I can use "convert" command. However, the resulting image looks very small. I want to enlarge the jpeg file by -resize option. It seems not to work. The resulting image is a pure black one. Do anyone has the same problem? Here are more details: 1: if I use convert -scale 1000x1000 your.eps your.jpg the resulting image looks like a low quality image. The eps vector image is not scaled properly. 2: if I use convert -geometry 300% your.eps your.jpg I get a pure black image.     The community (300 members), cocktailnetwork, has a website, cocktailnetwork.eu and about ten mailing lists. We want to manage the mailing lists from inside the website (lists and subscribers) and link the list's informations with the member profiles on the site. We are on shared hosting. The community members use the lists to send mails to all other members / groups of members. They can subscribe / unsubscribe from a list. The administrators can in addition create / delete / modify lists. Right now I use ezmlm with QmailAdmin, the lists are completly seperated from the website. I could link the data via remote administration commands, but that's not very satisfactory, does not allow the creation of new lists and it's an deprecated feature of our hosting package, sooner or later we'll need to switch anyway. Do You know of an elegant solution for us ? Any web service with a good, stable API ? Thanks.

Now we have hosting for him, which is wonderful: it's reliable and fast, offers unlimited space and databases BUT it only offers 10GB in bandwidth. The videos could easily be placed on his server (unlimited space) but the bandwidth is a real problem. Now I am wondering if he would purchase external hosting for his videos, and people would want to download them, woould this still eat up all his available bandwidth in no time, because the download request would go via his site, or is there a way to circumvent this?

  • ACDSee alternatives for batch editing images

    I am looking for free, preferably open, alternatives to ACDSee for batch editing work. While I can do much of the work well on ACDSee, it's not entirely satisfactory despite having to pay for it. I need at least the following batch editing functions: Resize using either height or width and maintain aspect ration Auto contrast text overlays and occasionally, cropping oh, I make extensive use of renaming features as well Couple of issues with ACDSee are: I always need to highlight the Exposure section or auto contrast will not be done despite it being saved in the preset; and I can't define, move around the cropping box, forcing me to manually crop tons of images. I'm not an advanced, or "power photo-editor". I only require the basic stuff I described to be automated. My personal feature wish list (I'm pretty sure something so niche doesn't exist) would be text overlay based on the image names (images are named as image-1_1, image-1_2 or image-2_c1_1, image-2_c1_2, and text overlay would Image-1 and Image-2 C1 and Image-2 C2). I tried digiKam, but damn that thing is huge. It runs very slowly on my Pentium 4 and 1.5 GB RAM. On top of being a program with over 1 GB of files, the KDE library it uses is always slow regardless of it running on either Windows or Linux.
