• Create a WebPart which displays people who have rights on lists

  I want to develop a WebPart in C# to display peoples who have a certain right on the list of the SharePoint page. So I began by creating a "Visual Web Part" in VS2010, and in the View Designer I add a DataList because I think it is the most relevant. But now, I don't know how to link my data with this DataList. It ask me for an XML file but which one choose ? And where can I take it ? After all, how to make this WebPart generic with all my SharePoint pages which implements one list ?

  I have a sharepoint custom list which has 5 columns ..the user should fill in first three columns and the other two should be locked..when the user enters the items and start the workflow if the workflow gets approved the 3 columns should be locked for editing and then the other two should be available for editing . But in windows 7, outlook would not open the task edit form at all and no error message either. is there anything need to be turned off/on in windows 7 outlook in order to approve an item from their inbox?

  I have a custom list, with calculation, in SharePoint. Everything worked fine until recently when the DataSheet will show strange or wrong % calculation in a % column.
