• How can I mark a file as descended from 2 other files in Mercurial?

  I had 2 Python similar scripts, that I've since merged into one (and now takes some parameters to differ the behaviour appropriately). Both of the previous files are in the tip of my Mercurial repository. How can I indicate that the new file, is a combination of the 2 older files that I intend to remove? Also note, that 1 file has been chosen in favor of the other, and some code moved across, so if it's not possible to create a version controlled file with a new name, then assimilating one file's history into the other will suffice.

• Data not displayed first time in android after copying the file from assets to data folder

  Description I have used the code tip from http://www.reigndesign.com/blog/using-your-own-sqlite-database-in-android-applications/ to copy a pre-filled data file to the target and handled this in a asynch task Problem : On starting the application it gives error and shuts down first time, starting again without any change it works perfectly fine. So first time after the file is copied, the error comes but after that no issues.   I have a script that loads in a div with images running jQuery Cycle Lite Plugin. I got the tip that I could us the "after" function in that plugin to make changes to the picture each time the image is refreshed. • Java: Selected rows's index does not changes when I sort them!

  Hello, I have a Jtable on which I called the method table1.setAutoCreateRowSorter(true);. So this works on well. But I also have a methos in my JFrame class which is fired when i push a button. It gets the selected rows indexes using this code int selectedRows[] = this.table1.getSelectedRows();. And displays an edit window for the first row corresponding in the selected interval. The problem is that if I don't click on column's headers (I mean i don't sorte them at all) my method works perfect. But when I sort the row, the indexes of the rows doesn't seems to change at all - thus resulting an edit window for the old row whicn was initially in that position before making any sort. I am using JDK 6 could anyonw give ma a tip?

• Ajax basic email code without reloading page

  I have in a previous Q found out that I need an ajax-function to send an email (submit a contact form) without reloading the page. This is for my classifieds website, where when users are viewing a classified they have the option to "tip a friend" by entering their friends email-adress and submitting the form. But I don't want to reload the page, that would be frustrating and not so clever. The only input in the form is a text input which will contain the email-adress to send to, and another hidden input which contains the classified_id nr, to identify which classified it is. The website is php based btw... Does anybody have a simple script for this? I have no experience in Ajax at all... And would really appreciate it. Thanks PS: Would prefer no Jquery, due to clients own reasons...

  Dear Guys I am somehow newbie and sometimes guru , but at this moment i don't have enough time to research My nightmare is , my boss ask me to create an interactive floor ( he just saw in an exhibition ) , he ask me to create one of them instead of buying , i am an actionscript crawler and developer with some skills in java and c# programming , i just made some track motion with a simple web cam , and this idea came to my mind if i can use an infrared or thermographic camera instead of simple camera so i can get better positioning if camera place at top of floor ! Now i just came here to ask you guys is there any resource , tip , help i can know before getting into this deal !? is there any lib or api out to deal with this ?! EVEN, if there is any resource , article from another language c++ , c , .... could help i just didn't have enough time to test lot of ways If you search interactive floors , or interactive floor projection you can find some companies who provide such a thing Thanks in advance ( and sorry for my damn poor english , français could be better :D )

  Since a couple of weeks the Visual Studio (2008 9.0.30729.1 SP) Exception Assistant has stopt appearing while debugging using the C# IDE. Instead the old ugly and useless debug dialog comes up: To make sure, I've checked the following: "Tools / Options / Debugging / General / Enable the exception assistant" is on. "Debug / Exceptions / Common Language Runtime Exceptions / Thrown" is on. I reset my Visual Studio Settings. I googled. I checked all relevant stackoverflow questions. How can I get the Exception Assistant back? Who gives me the golden tip?

• Auto wiring of Property does not work for me

  Hi All, In my Asp.Net project I wanna use Property Auto-wiring, e.g. for my ILogger. Basically I placed Property into my base classes. One for Page, one for UserControl. I checked the container and it'a definitely set. • All sites give Error 500 under Sharepoint Foundation (SP2010)

  I've just installed Sharepoint Foundatuion on my W2008 64bit server and got it up and running as far as being able to access the Central Admin etc just fine. I did have to disable 32 bit apps in the application pools for all the SP sites and also, following a tip on here, add a config option for bitness64 as a prerequisite for the services. However whenever I try to access the "Sharepoint - 80" site itself (or another site collection I created in the admin tool), I am getting an unhelpful 500 error. The log doesn't add anything - I can't find anything to give me a clue as to what it's complaining about. The server is a hosted VPS and all services like SQL are running locally (and are OK). Any ideas where I look next? M

  Hi I followed the commonly-linked tip for reducing an application to the system tray : http://www.developer.com/net/csharp/article.php/3336751 Now it works, but there is still a problem : my application is shown when it starts ; I want it to start directly in the systray. I tried to minimize and hide it in the Load event, but it does nothing. Edit : I could, as a poster suggested, modify the shortcut properties, but I'd rather use code : I don't have complete control over every computer the soft is installed on. I don't want to remove it completely from everywhere except the systray, I just want it to start minimized. Any ideas ? Thanks

• Can I create many tables according to the same entity?

  What I want to do is that I want to make the many tables dinamically which are the same entity structures. And then I want to refer to the dinamically created tables according to the table name. What I understood from hibernate reference is that I can only create only one table and it should be matched exactly with entity. So I can't find any solution to my problem. • WinForms ToolTip will not re-appear after first use.

  I have a Forms C# application where I would like to use a toolTip on one of the text boxes. I Initialize the tool-tip in the constructor of the Form class, and it works the first time. So when I hover over the text box with my mouse it works, but once the toolTip times out and it goes away, it does not re-appear when I move my mouse away and back onto the control. I would expect it to come back and I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong.   Hi, I have an application in which I have to show the alerts for user specied reminders, I am able to show these reminders when my application is running but my problem is i have to show thsese reminders to the user when my application is not running? is it possible to show the alerts or remindsers when the application is running? what i obsered in iphone native applications(messages, emails) it whill show no of unread or new messages at the top right tip of the icon on the desktop and it will keep on updates these count. Can I impplement these king of alerts to my applications? if yes how? it not is there any other to show the alerts when application is not running?

  I have forms in my page a get and a post and i want add pager on my get form .. so i cant page through the results.. The problem that i am having is when i move to the second page it does not display anything.. • (VB or C#) Run app in system tray and listen to keyboard input even when the app is not in focus

  I want to make an app which on loading sits in the system tray and even after I open another program (say notepad or vlc or anything) i.e. even when the app is not in focus and if I press "G" on my keyboard, the tray icon should show a tool tip - "key G is pressed". I have tried several codes but nothing works when the app goes out of focus. I can use Register Hot Key (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms646309(VS.85).aspx) but it needs a modifier also (like Ctrl or Alt etc. along with my key G). So, is there any way I can achieve this? something which many tray icons do like antivirus apps, etc. and I do not want to use AutoHotkey application. I want to build one but need some help. Thanks!

  HI, I am developing asp.net mvc site with linq-to-sql we are having 1000 cocurrent users and we are having performance problems. I have found that stackovewflow is also build on linq-to-sql? So can anybody know how they improved performance. Without line performance was good each page are loaded in 3 seconds but after migrating to linq as per our client requirement page comes in 8 to 10 seconds which is not acceptable performance. I just simply need to access one of array elements by calling propertyName=string[0]. Current version (1.8.3) does not support indexed properties.   Hello, I have an app using raw_id on both ForeignKeyField and ManyToManyField. The admin displays the value of the foreign key on the right of the edit box. Unfortunatey, it doesn't work with ManyToMany. I've checked the code and I think that it is the normal behavior. However I would like to know if someone has an easy tip to change this behavior? Thanks in advance Update: I've tried to subclass the ManyToManyRawIdWidget but I don't know how to say that the raw_id_fields should use my custom widget. formfield_overrides doesn't seem to work with raw_id fields

  Hello All, Is it possible to switch HTML on click? I have an index page with a large image on the front. Under the image there is four links. When the cursor rolls over the link I would like a small tool tip to appear. Then when the clicks the link I want the large Image to change and some extra HTML to appear over it. (just a small content box) The tooltip I think I have sorted using Jquery but I'm not sure how I can change the image [b]AND[/b] add a small content box over the image. Thanks in advanced everyone.

I essentially have a widget that asks a random question, which is self contained. {{ form.fieldname }} displays the full widget which looks something like (à la the widget's render method): <label for="id_answer">Question:</label> <input type="hidden" name="question_id" value="n" /> <span class="prompt">What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?</span> <input type="text" name="answer" /> What I'm essentially asking is, is there a way to break out the prompt, so that I can lay the widget out piecemeal? I would like to lay it out not with a call to {{ form.fieldname }} as above, but like: {{ form.fieldname.label }} {{ form.fieldname.prompt }} {{ form.fieldname }} Does anyone know how to do this?

• Should I be using abstract methods in this Python scenario?

  I'm not sure my approach is good design and I'm hoping I can get a tip. I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of an abstract method, but in this case I want the method to be optional. So I want it to be optional and I'm wondering if my approach is—well, if my approach could be improved?
