• Strange jQueryUI dialog error

  I have dialog created like this $('#add_error').click(function(e) { $('<div>') .load('/someaction/format/html/') .dialog({ title: 'Some title', modal: true, width: 385, close: function() { $(this).remove(); } }); e.preventDefault(); }); It works ok, but every third (not really sure if its really third) time I click link to open dialog, it fails with error in firebug "$("").addClass("ui-widget-overlay") is undefined" In dialog.js that is piece of code: var $el = (this.oldInstances.length ? this.oldInstances.splice(0, 1)[0] : $('<div></div>').addClass('ui-widget-overlay')) .appendTo(document.body) .css({ width: this.width(), height: this.height() }); under create: function(dialog) method. Strange thing is that this error does not occur when I remove close: function() { $(this).remove(); } Any idea?

• Flash Player 10.1 crash on shared object access

  Hi all, since updating my Flash Player plugin from 10 to 10.1, I'm seeing a weird crash when accessing shared objects. Flex Builder's debugger pops up and prints a stack trace like this: undefined at flash.net::SharedObject$/getLocal() at my.code::MyClass$/load()[/my/path/to/my/MyClass.as:27] (...) This happens when calling SharedObject.getLocal("someString") for the second time for the same string, though it doesn't always crash. When using another browser on the same machine (not configured as the preferred debugging browser in Flex Builder), Flash Player remains silent. The code is wrapped in a try/catch(Error) block which does not catch this error. I'm using Flex SDK 3.5 and Flex Builder 3 on Mac OS X 10.6.3. Has anyone else seen this? Thanks, Simon

Here is the issue: I know rails defaults to sqllite right now, but I need to use mysql for a series of reasons. • C# Conditional Compilation and framework targets

  There are a few minor places where code for my project may be able to be drastically improved if the target framework were a newer version. I'd like to be able to better leverage conditional compilation in C# to switch these as needed. Something like: #if NET_40 using FooXX = Foo40; #elif NET_35 using FooXX = Foo35; #else using FooXX = Foo20; #endif Do these symbols come for free? Do I need to inject these symbols as part of the project configuration? Seems easy enough to do since I'll know which framework is being targeted from msbuild. I think I've seen that NET_40 symbol isn't defined? If so I think I could do this? #if !NET_35 && !NET_20 #define NET_40 #endif Or do I need to define it in the msbuild command: /p:DefineConstants="NET_40"

• Setup Google Test (gtest) with Eclipse on OS X

  What is the procedure to setup Google Test to work under Eclipse on Mac OS X? I followed the instruction in README to compile and install gtest as framework from XCode. Now I want to use gtest with Eclipse. Currently, it compiles fine but fails during build.   By default, the datetime field from the database is being converted and stripping off the milliseconds: some_datetime = "2009-11-11T02:19:36Z" attribute_before_type_cast('some_datetime') = "2009-11-11 02:19:36.145" If I try to overrride the accessor for this attribute like; def some_datetime attribute_before_type_cast('some_datetime') end when I try "to_xml" for that model, I get the following error: NoMethodError (undefined method `xmlschema' for "2009-11-11 02:19:36.145":String): I have tried to parse the String to a Time object but can't get one to include the milliseconds; def some_datetime Time.parse(attribute_before_type_cast('some_datetime').sub(/\s/,"T").sub(/$/,"Z")) end Can anyone help get get a datetime with milliseconds rendered by to_xml?

  I need some help understanding some of the points from Paul Graham's article http://www.paulgraham.com/diff.html A new concept of variables. In Lisp, all variables are effectively pointers. Values are what have types, not variables, and assigning or binding variables means copying pointers, not what they point to. A symbol type. Symbols differ from strings in that you can test equality by comparing a pointer. A notation for code using trees of symbols. The whole language always available. There is no real distinction between read-time, compile-time, and runtime. You can compile or run code while reading, read or run code while compiling, and read or compile code at runtime. What do these points mean How are they different in languages like C or Java? Do any other languages other than LISP family languages have any of these constructs now?

• xperf won't use my DLL's pdb

  I'm attempting to use xperf to profile my (unmanaged) DLL which is loaded by another (managed) application. Basically, xperf isn't loading the symbols for my DLL; in the CPU usage summary, my DLL's function column says 'Unknown' xperf gives me: xperf: Using symbol path: C:\app\mydll\releaseu;SRV*c:\symbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols xperf: Using executable path: C:\app\mydll\releaseu;SRV*c:\symbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols xperf: Using SymCache path: \SymCache Where C:\app\mydll\releaseu is where my DLL's .pdb file is located. Using xperf -symbols or clicking Load Symbols in the viewer doesn't load my DLL's symbols. A folder for mydll isn't created in C:\Symbols, I'm only getting the symbols from Microsoft. Any idea how to make it work?

• how to handle iframes/frames dom in the iphone uiwebview

  in (void) webViewDidFinishLoad: (UIWebView*)webView I inject some javascript to handle the iframes. e.g. stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString: @"try { var document = window.document.getElementsByTagName('iframe')[0].contentWindow.document.getElementsByTagName('frame'); } catch (e) { alert (e.message); }" It tells me the iframes document is undefined. Actually I have tried to print all the properties of contentWindow of iframe, but it's totally empty. I know the webViewDidFinishLoad may be called several times for each frame load. But I can never get the iframe document. I thought there should be at least once all the iframes are ready. Could someone please tell me how to get the iframe document to process the dom in the uiwebview? Thanks

However, I get an error Fatal error: Call to undefined method Swift_Mailer::setSubject() in /home/user/public_html/application/classes/controller/properties.php on line 45 I've seen that email::connect() does exactly what the example code in the docs does.   From where does this structure originates? I know that it is declared in famous ntdll.h and is a part of undocumented windows API. But isn't it vary between different versions of windows? Is there a way to dump this structure from working system? I tried 'dt SYSTEM_HANLDE_INFORMATION' in Windbg and 'type SYSTEM_HANLDE_INFORMATION' in SoftIce but all I get is 'no such symbol' message. I also dumped ntoskrnl.pdb with PdbDump.exe and searched among the dumped structures - and could not find neither SYSTEM_HANLDE_INFORMATION nor SYSTEM_HANLDE. Could you help me?

  I have the column DateTimeExpired, and I would like to create another column called "Expired" which will show "Yes" or "No" according to the expiration date - "Yes" if the date has already passed. I wrote this: DataColumn colExpirationDate = new DataColumn("DateTimeExpired", typeof(DateTime)); DataColumn colExpired = new DataColumn("Expired", typeof(string), "IIF(DateDiff(DateTimeExpired, date())>= 0,'No','Yes')"); But I get an exception "The expression contains undefined function call DateDiff()."   Hello all, I have read through all relevant posts on Prawn but found no mentioning (even in Prawn's own documentation) of headers and footers. However, I did see a demo on Prawnto's own website about headers and footers. I copied the entire source of that demo just to see if it works but an error of undefined method "header" is complained about. Am I to understand that Prawn took out header and footer recently in the gem or is there something else I need to do first to use header and footer? • Extjs: Tree, Selecting node after creating the tree

  I have a simple TreePanel. I would like to select a particular node upon loading it. The nodes are from a remote file (json). The tree is loading as expected. However, the node is not being selected. Firebug shows node as undefined. This perhaps because of the async property. But, I an unable to configure this other wise, or specify the node be selected. Any suggestions welcomed, and thank you. • jquery ajax request is sent BEFORE beforeSend

  Hi all, had anyone the same experiences with jquery ajax() and the beforeSend property??? And even better... any advice how to fix this problem ??? THX ;-) Actually what i am doing is reading from the database with an ajax call before i wanna sent the new data to the database via ajax (I deed to get to the last page of all comments). What happens is that beforeSend retrieves the data WITH the data which should be sent afterwards?!?! • Weak-linking with static libraries

  I have declared an external function with a GCC weak attribute in a .c file: extern int weakFunction( ) __attribute__ ((weak)); Compiled object file has weakFunction defined as a weak symbol. Output of nm: 1791: w weakFunction I am calling the weak defined function as follows: if (weakFunction != NULL) { weakFunction(); } When I link the program by defining the object files as parameters to GCC (gcc main.o weakf.o -o main.exe) weak symbols work fine. If I leave the weakf.o out of linking, the function address is NULL in main.c and the function won't be called. Problem is, when weakf.o is inside a static library, for some reason the linker doesn't find the function and the function address always ends up being NULL. Static library is created with ar: ar rcs weaklibrary weakf.o Anyone had similar problems?

  hi guys, I am having some trouble with my little facebook application, I keep getting this friggin error, "Fatal error: Call to undefined method Facebook::require_login()", now the funny bit is that my exact same code is working for other people, but not for me, here is the code. <?php require_once( "facebook-php-sdk/src/facebook.php" ); $api_key = "my_api_key"; $secret = "my_secret_key"; $facebook = new Facebook( $api_key, $secret ); $user_id = $facebook->require_login(); echo "Hello World"; echo "Current logged in as <fb:name uid=\"$user_id\" />"; ?> As you can see it is a simple hello USER application, but for some reason this REFUSES to work for me, so if anyone can help out that would be great, thanx in advance!
