  • Sorting a value pair in Javascript

    I must be missing the proper term or else I'm sure I could find the answer by searching... in any case, here's what I want to do. Through javascript, I get four variables (A, B, C, and D) that I would like to sort, and still keep track of the variable name (since it's encoded with meaning information). Sample Data: A = 2; B = 1; C = 4; D = 3; What I need to do now is sort them in value order (4,3,2,1) such that I can actually know the variable name ordering (C,D,A,B).

    Hi, on one of my web pages I want my manager user to view all activities assigned to them (personally). In order to do this, I need something like this: $sql = "SELECT * FROM activities WHERE manager = $_SESSION['SESS_FULLNAME']"; Now obviously this syntax is all wrong, but because I am new to this stuff, is there a way I can call up the full name from the user's session within a query? This is so that when I call up the database values to be displayed within the web page, only the activities for the manager who is logged in is displayed. For example, the activities table has a manager column of a full name entry. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

    I'm a developer (and therefore a tester) of a website. Our site accepts any JavaScript or HTML from an user but I haven't been successful in explaining the danger of it, as obvious as it is. So I would like to prove it by logging in as my boss to prove to him that there is definitely a real danger here. I think this will put down any of his arguments and let us move onto filtering content like this. (note this question is not about filtering, or other suggestions on JavaScript tricks) I already know how to steal the value of the document.cookie variable with AJAX and a PHP file, but once you have that string of name=value;name=value;..., how do you apply it to your own browser?     I have three cells in different rows in a table having same name.e.g. <td name = "x"> is present in 3 different rows. I am using document.getElementsByName() to obtain a collection of these cells and trying to calculate the length of this collection. e.g. var obj = doucment.getElementsByName("X"); var length = obj.length; This code works fine in Google Chrome but in IE the length is return as 0(zero). Can anyone tell me how to sove this problem in IE?

    I use this code to make my UITableViewCells cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleValue2 reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease]; If you're unfamiliar with UITableViewCellStyleValue2, the main text is shown, and then the detail text is shown after it, generally in a different color. However, when I do this, my main text is truncated, if it is longer than a short word. I want to force it to not truncate the main text and show the entire main text, and then the detail text after it. How can I do that?

NDepend's website provided code for integrating this capability, and so I have pasted their code into my .csproj file where they said for it to go, but I receive errors on the build. The errors refer to two of the three "BuildStep" tags I have in the code snippet.     I am writing a simple page with JQuery and HTML5 canvas tags where I move a shape on the canvas by pressing 'w' for up, 's' for down, 'a' for left, and 'd' for right. I have it all working, but I would like the shape to start moving at a constant speed upon striking a key. Right now there is some kind of hold period and then the movement starts. How can I get the movement to occur immediately?   • Problem with Refreshing data in ExpandableListView

    Hi! My problem is when I want to refresh data in ExpandableListView while being in that current activity. I create adapter and when I want to add new data to list I call again constructor of that adapter(it is my private variable) with all new data....and then I call onContentChanged() method to redraw my list. But what happens is that I cant expand my list any more...like it is blocked or something and logcat isn't saying anything... This should be checked when doing a call to the service as well as when the page is sent to the client ("POSTBACK"). What I need is : 4 Dropdowns Only the first dropdown is visible when first entering the page. When selecting an option from dropdown1 the dropdown2 will be populated and so on If there is only 1 option then the dropdown should be hidden If all 4 dropdowns are set and the end-user changes dropdown1, then dropdown2 should be reloaded and the rest be hidden If the user has selected some of the dropdowns (say 1, 2 and 3) and hit submit and the page is not accepted on the server side (not valid) the dropdowns should be set exactly as when the user clicked the submit button when the page returns to the user. Any suggestions on this?
