  • Infinite queue for build while TFS Preview publishing on Azure Cloud Service

    I've created Cloud Service and linked TFS Preview Project for CI deployments. I've chosen Manual mode for triggering the builds. The previously queued builds were successfully completed and deployed. And the website based on this Cloud Service was running fine. Waiting in the queue was no more than 3-5 seconds. Now when I click - "Queue New Build" - the new build item is created in the queue but it never runs. I can successfully Publish project onto Azure Cloud service from VS2012 though. What could be the most common reasons for this?

    hey there, is there a way to backup / transfer a NAS (it's like a big harddrive with some access to a webinterface, but closed linux etc.... only two ethernet ports) to another one? or is the only way to connect both NASs to my computer and copy the data from one to the other? it's like 750gb of data... thanks in advance... regards

  • how to backup from opensuse 10.1 server to a new server with opensuse 12.1

    Im a newbie for this , i want to copy all the files from my old server which is running opensuse 10.1 with a software raid 1 to a new server which has open suse 12.1 with a hardware raid 1 , i had set up a backup script on the old server which back's up all the folders into a zip file onto an external drive . Can i just get that zip file and copy it to the new server , will that work , it might be a basic and stupid question but i want to learn and do it right.     I have a SQL 2008 R2 Express on which backups are made by executing sqlmaint from windows task planer. Several backups ran into an error and got stuck in state SUSPENDED with wait type WRITELOG. How can I get these backup processes to stop so they release resources? Simply killing the processes doesn't work. The process will stay in KILL/ROLL for a long time. This didn't change for several hours.

    I have large amounts of data (500+ GB) stored in azure blob storage that I need to transfer to rackspace cloud files. I know it is possible to perform such a migration using the SDKs from both services, but is there a free, standard, 1-step process for doing this? I've built a POC utility but would like to avoid having to optimize it to perform the transfer within a reasonable amount of time. Thanks.

    While doing a kernel backup of an mtd (Memory Technology Device) from /dev/mtd/mtd3ro of a TI board gives many "BCH decoding failed", Here are system info #cat /proc/mtd dev: size erasesize name mtd0: 00080000 00020000 "X-Loader" mtd1: 00140000 00020000 "U-Boot" mtd2: 000c0000 00020000 "U-Boot Env" mtd3: 00500000 00020000 "Kernel" mtd4: 1f880000 00020000 "File System" here is the method used, dd if=/dev/mtd/mtd3ro of=/data/local/tmp/mtd3.bin doing a cat also returns the same error, and here is the error, BCH decoding failed BCH decoding failed yes, the destination has enough space ;) tell me what do you think?   • backup aws ec2 to separate account

    I want to backup my AWS snapshots to a completely separate AWS account for additional security (if my AWS credentials were acquired someone could delete all my snapshots and volumes). But I'm a bit stumped on how to do this. There doesn't seem to be a way to store a volume or snapshot in S3 such that another user could access that data in s3 and store it in a separate AWS account. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to acheive this? Thanks

    The new MobileMe iCal data lives in the cloud, and the data on your computer is actually a cache. This support article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4226 from Apple explains how to backup calendar data by exporting to an .ics file. I would like to automate that process via AppleScript, Automator or any other method (paid software is fine). The sticking point with AppleScript is selecting the calendar on the left hand column. In Automator I don't think the available actions support this level of automation.

  • Recovering from backup without original install media

    A machine from my old job had a complete hard drive failure. I have backups but I'm running into severe problems restoring from them. The only install media was a secondary restore partition on the system's hard drive. I hate whoever came up with that idea more than i can possibly express with words. I spent several days trying to recover the disk - it is pretty well shot and none of my best tricks could even get it to show up in the bios/ The machine that broke is an hp with xp media center edition on it (I don't know why either). The backups were created using the default windows backup tool - I have .bfk file on an external hardrive that i am trying to restore from. I've replaced the hard drive. My home machine is running windows 7 64bit and i'm trying to use it as a platform to restore to the other disk. I downloaded the window 7 nt-restore utility, however no matter what i do it restores to my C drive rather than the specified drive. Fortunately win7 security settings prevented it from being a complete disaster - but still not a happy thing. I tried firing up the xp virtual machine. I can browse to the backups but it says they are invalid and refuse to let me view/ continue with the restore. I tried installing XP to an extra harddrive on my machine - however it bluescreens on me during the install process and I cry. I tried installing xp pro to the new drive and attempted to restore over it, it of course blackscreened on me as that was a stupid idea. I made two partitions on the new hard drive (Apparently the bios on this accursed piece of junk doesn't allow hd partitions larger than 200G anyways and thus fails 40 minutes into the install with an ever-descriptive "Disk Read Error". Guess how i spent last weekend? My last idea was to install xp pro to the second partition and then use it to restore from backup to the first. After the first restart it gives me the error "Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware". My brain made one of those bad hard drive clicky noises. I've tried several boot disks but they don't seem to work. If anyone has a link to a good one it would be greatly appreciated. Anyone have any more ideas? - I really hate asking on what seems like such a simple issue but i am quite literally at my wit's end.     I changed my administrator and Sql password for server but when I try to create the backup in maintainance plan then I get this error message "Exception has been thrown by the target of invocation (MSCORLIB)" A sql statement was issued and failed.
