    i need to do this. document.styleSheets[i].rules[1].style.cssText = "cursor: url(images/grabbing.cur), default !important;"; and if i m checking alert(document.styleSheets[i].rules[1].style.cssText); its giving "cursor: !important" why its not setting the whole string in this css. its a problem in ie only . in firefox its not a problem

  • Changing background image of a Drupal page based on user's selection...?

    Hi I'm trying to give my users the functionality to change what the background image used on a page is. The list of background images will be a small number that won't really change. I thought I could add a few Taxonomy terms...one for each background type...then apply a class to the body tag when the page is viewed. Does this sound feasible and if so how would I go about doing it? Thanks Sam

  • IE6 and IE7 Input padding CSS

    I have input boxes with a height of 25 pixels. In Firefox, Safari and IE8 automatically vertically align the text of it in the middle correctly. However in IE6 and IE7 the text is aligned to the top. How may I resolve this? Adding padding-top increased the total height of the input as I have explicitly declared its height. I don't wish to use browser specific CSS. Thanks.

    I am attempting to have a link show up in white, without an underline. The text color shows up correctly as white, but the blue underline is stubbornly persisting. I tried text-decoration: none; and text-decoration: none !important; in the CSS to remove the link underline. Neither worked. How can I remove the blue underline from the link?

  • CSS Collapsing/Hiding divs with no data in <span>

    I am trying to display an address which includes the following information: Title, division, address1, address2, town/state/zip, and country (5 seperate lines worth of data). The problem is sometimes the company may only have the title, address1, and town/state/zip yet other times it may be all but address2. This is determined upon a db record request server side. Therefore how can I make my output look proper when some of my labels will be blank? I would like div's that contain an empty span to be essentially collapsed/removed. My only idea of how was to use jquery and a selector to find all divs with blank spans (since thats all an asp.net label really is) and then remove those divs however this seems like such bad form. Is there any way to do this with css?     Something similar to this question has been asked here - HTML/CSS Gradient that stops at a perticular height and continues further with a solid color, but as far as I can see this doesn't work when using it on the body for a background color - which is what I want to achieve. Specifically, I would like it to be light blue at the top of the page, gradient into dark blue 200px further down, and then continue in dark blue for ever. Thanks to anybody who can help, Alfo.

    For so many time, I have encountered problems with managing image having abnormally long height or width. If I fixed their height and widht, they will appear streched? If I fixed their width, and if the height of the image is very long then also it will mess up the overall website. If I fixed their height, and if the width of the image is very long then also it will mess up the overall website. The images I save in the local drive are saved maintaining the ratio? Let say user decides to upload image 1(height)*32(width). When he uploads this image, the script is made to resize the user uploaded image to height:1000px(just an example) So the resulting image in 1000px(height)*32000(widht), you see now the image is abnormally large. Now while displaying this image in a box of 1000px * 1000px, what is the best way to display this image?
