    Hello, How to Get page permalink and title outside the loop in wordpress. I have a function like function get_post_info(){ $post; $permalink = get_permalink($post->ID); $title = get_the_title($post->ID); return $post_info('url' => $permalink, 'title' => $title); } when this function called within the loop, it returns the post's title and url. When it is called outside the loop. It is not returning the current page's title and url. When called in home page it should return the home page's title and url How to get like this ? instead this function returns the latest posts title and url

    I intended for this function to call my MVC action method that returns a CSV report. $(function() { $('#exportButton').click(function() { $.get('/curReport/GetCSVReport'); }); }); If I make a button like the code below then, when it is clicked, I'm given the "Open with/Save File" window. <input type="button" value="Export" onClick="location.href='CurReport/GetCSVReport'"> However, when I change my button to use my jQuery function then, although GetCSVReport() is called I'm not given the "Open with/Save File" window.     I have a WPF based ActiveX control (COM interop). I am able to use it correctly by registering the control. When I tried to Reg-Free-COM (using manifest files) the control seems to be activated, but the events (such as mouse click, RequestBringIntoView etc) dont respond. Interestingly, Double click and tab key works. I read in the this article http://blogs.msdn.com/karstenj/archive/2006/10/09/activex-wpf-gadget.aspx that " ... These upsides come with a price: the ActiveX control must be registered in the registry, which requires some kind of installation such as an .msi. The default gadget installation process cannot install ActiveX. The ActiveX control can't be access via reg-free COM. ..." Has anybody had a similar experience? Can anyone explain what is going on? Additional details: When the control is activated after it has been registered it appears as part of the COM client's UI. The control does not receive focus, its elements receive it. When using reg-free-com the control does not load correctly. 1) The control receives focus instead of its sub elements 2) The control has areas that are black instead of the windows default color 3) when I tab in and out of the control or double click it, it's subelements receive focus, the control starts receiving events and the black areas are replaced by the correct color

    Hi, Consider the following piece of code: As you can see we are on line 28. Is there any way to see the return value of the function at this point, without letting the code return to the caller function? Foo.Bar() is a function call which generates a unique path (for example). So it's NOT constant. In VB.NET it's possible by entering the function's name in the Watch, which will then threat it as a variable. But in C# this is not possible, any other tips? PS: rewriting is not an option.

This works great unless there are nulls in the dataset. I tried to compensate for the nulls, but the RDLC file generates an error message that it can't display the subreport.     Coming from a C# background, I have only vaguest idea on memory management on C++-- all I know is that I would have to free the memory manually. As a result my C++ code is written in such a way that objects of the type std::vector, std::list, std::map are freely instantiated, used, but not freed. I didn't realize this point until I am almost done with my programs, now my code is consisted of the following kinds of patterns: struct Point_2 { double x; double y; }; struct Point_3 { double x; double y; double z; }; list<list<Point_2>> Computation::ComputationJob(list<Point_3> pts3D, vector<Point_2> vectors) { map<Point_2, double> pt2DMap=ConstructPointMap(pts3D); vector<Point_2> vectorList = ConstructVectors(vectors); list<list<Point_2>> faceList2D=ConstructPoints(vectorList , pt2DMap); return faceList2D; } My question is, must I free every.single.one of the list usage ( in the above example, this means that I would have to free pt2DMap, vectorList and faceList2D)? That would be very tedious! I might just as well rewrite my Computation class so that it is less prone to memory leak. Any idea how to fix this?

    I am trying to display a live word count in the vim statusline. I do this by setting my status line in my .vimrc and inserting a function into it. The idea of this function is to return the number of words in the current buffer. This number is then displayed on the status line. This should work nicely as the statusline is updated at just about every possible opportunity so the count will always remain 'live'. The problem is that the function I have currently defined is slow and so vim is obviously sluggish when it is used for all but the smallest files; due to this function being executed so frequently. In summary, does anyone have a clever trick for producing a function that is blazingly fast at calculating the number of words in the current buffer and returning the result?

    I'm trying to make a PHP regex to extract functions from php source code. Until now i used a recursive regex to extract everything between {} but then it also matches stuff like if statements. When i use something like: preg_match_all("/(function .(.))({([^{}]+|(?R))*})/",$this-data,$matches2); It doesn't work when there is more than 1 function in the file (probably because it uses the 'function' part in the recursiveness too). Is there any way to do this? Example file: <?php if($useless) { echo "i don't want this"; } function bla($wut) { echo "i do want this"; } ?> Thanks
