• UIButton doesn't listen to content mode setting?

  firstButton is a UIButton of type Custom. I'm programmatically putting three of them across each cell of a table, thusly: [firstButton setImage:markImage forState:UIControlStateNormal]; [firstButton setContentMode:UIViewContentModeScaleAspectFit]; [cell.contentView addSubview:firstButton]; Elsewhere, I'm telling it to clipToBounds. What I get is a crop of the center square of the image, rather than an aspect-scaled rendering of it. I've tried this lots of ways, including setting the mode property on firstButton.imageView, which also doesn't seem to work.

• How can I locate the indexpath of the UITableviewCell a certain button is in when I click that butto

  I've added a button as an accessory view to uitableviewcell, and I when I press it, I'd like to be able to access the index path of the table view cell it's currently inside of so I can delete/modify the contents of that cell. Should I subclass UIbutton and add make it have it's own index path property? If so, do I need to implement any specific button methods in that subclass of will they automatically be loaded? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is a noobie question.

• Rotate a custom UITableViewCell

  I have a custom UITableViewCell which contains several UIButtons. I set autoresizingMask=UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleWidth so it will adjust the width properly when the application starts with the device either in landscape or portrait mode. The issue is when the device is rotated, the buttons do not adjust its position based on the because the UITableViewCell is reusable. In other words, the cell is not initialized based on the new UITalbeView width because the cell's function initWithStyle is called before the device is rotated and is not called again after the device rotation. Any suggestions?

• latex tabular vertical alignment to top?

  I'm trying to create a simple tabular with two cells of text and two images below them like so: \begin{tabular}[h]{ c | c} \emph{Normal} & \emph{Cone} \\ \includegraphics[width=0.39\textwidth]{images/pipe1} & \includegraphics[width=0.61\textwidth]{images/pipe2} \end{tabular} The first image is shorter than the second and I want it to be aligned at the top of the cell but for some reason it gets aligned to the bottom of the cell instead. I've tried using the array package and do this: \begin{tabular}[h]{ p{0.39\textwidth} | p{0.61\textwidth} } \emph{Normal} & \emph{Cone} \\ \includegraphics[width=0.39\textwidth]{images/pipe1} & \includegraphics[width=0.61\textwidth]{images/pipe2} \end{tabular} But this doesn't change anything. The first image is still aligned to the bottom. Why is that? Could there be something else going on which forces the alignment to stick to the bottom?

  Hi, I'm having some trouble getting pictures inside a tablelayout...actually, each I have 2 columns and when i put a picture in a cell of the table, it's completely streched and disproportionnated...I can't find how to make it stay it's original inside the cell and let the rest of the space filled by white background for instance.... • How does one paint the entire row's background in a QStyledItemDelegate ?

  I have a QTableView which I am setting a custom QStyledItemDelegate on. In addition to the custom item painting, I want to style the row's background color for the selection/hovered states. It is hard to describe so here is a screenshot: In that picture the mouse was over the left most cell, hence the highlighted background.. but I want the background to be drawn over the entire row. How can I achieve this? Edit: With some more thought I've realized that the QStyle::State_MouseOver state is only being passed for actual cell which the mouse is over, and when the paint method is called for the other cells in the row QStyle::State_MouseOver is not set. So the question becomes is there a QStyle::State_MouseOver_Row state (answer: no), so how do I go about achieving that?

  Hello, I have a DataGridView that I am binding to a POCO. I have the databinding working fine. However, I have added a combobox column that I want to be different for each row. Specifically, I have a grid of purchased items, some of which have sizes (like Adult XL, Adult L) and other items are not sized (like Car Magnet.) So essentially what I want to change is the DATA SOURCE for a combobox column in the data grid. Can that be done? What event can I hook into that would allow me to change properties of certain columns FOR EACH ROW? An acceptable alternative is to change a property when the user clicks or tabs into the row. What event is that? Seth EDIT I need more help with this question. With Triduses help I am SO close but I need a bit more information. First, per the question, is the CellFormatting event really the best/only event for changing the DataSource for a combo box column. I ask because I am doing something rather resource/data intensive, not merely formatting the cell. Second, the cellformatting event is being called just by having the mouse hover over the cell. I tried to set the FormattingApplied property inside my if-block and then I check for it in the if- test but that is returning a weird error message. My ideal situation is that I would apply change the data source for the combo box once for each row and then be done with it. Finally, in order to set the data source of the combobox colunm I have to be able to cast the Cell inside my if block to a type of DataGridViewComboBoxColumn so that I can fill it with rows or set the datasource or something. Here is the code I have right now. • Drawing selected state on custom UITableViewCell

  So I have a customer UITableViewCell whose whole display in drawn in drawRect. When it draws it creates CGLayers so that it can reuse certain pieces when something is changed. I have changed my UITableViewCellSelectionStyle to None because I don't want the default selected view to cover my drawing. So I call setNeedsDisplay in setSelected:animated: for my cell. But by the time drawRect is called, setSelected:animated: has already been called again to deselect the cell. In my table view controller in didSelectRowAtIndexPath I call deselectRowAtIndexPath as Apple advises. Any ideas? Thanks.

• Need advice on speeding up tableViewCell photo loading performance

  I have around 20 tableview cells that each contain a number (2-5) thumbnail sized pictures (they are VERY small Facebook profile pictures, ex. http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-sf2p/hs254.snc3/23133_201668_2989_q.jpg). Each picture is an UIImageView added to the cell's contentview. Scrolling performance is poor, and measuring the draw time I've found the UIImage rendering is the bottleneck. I've researched/thought of some solutions but as I am new to iphone development I am not sure which strategy to pursue: preload all the images and retrieve them from disk instead of URL when drawing cells (I'm not sure if cell drawing will still be slow, so I want to hold off on the time investment here) Have the cells display a placeholder image from disk, while the picture is asynchronously loaded (this seems to be the best solution, but I'm currently not sure exactly how to do best do this) There's the fast drawing recommendation from Tweetie, but I don't know that will have much affect if it turns out my overhead is in network loading (http://blog.atebits.com/2008/12/fast-scrolling-in-tweetie-with-uitableview/) Thoughts/implementation advice? • Libreoffice Calc run macro with HYPERLINK

  I'm trying to use hyperlinks instead of buttons to run Basic macros. It seems to be more natural to me because hyperlinks are directly connected to a cell and buttons are not. I'm using the following Formula: =HYPERLINK("vnd.sun.star.script:Standard.Module1.Test?language=Basic&location=document";"Check") It should call the Subroutine Test placed in the document's macros under Standard.Module1 and display the Text 'Check' in the Cell it is written. This works absolutely fine with libreoffice 3.6.1.2 but it doesn't work at all with version 4.1.4.2. I can't see any errors it just happens nothing at all. I tried to simply click the Hyperlink and also to hold CTRL and click it. Same result - nothing. When I use a button the macro works as expected. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

(String vs Number vs Object) Or Can one manipulate the UpperBound value to make it work? i.e. after removing Item 3, I want the UpperBound, or arraylength, to be 2, since this is logically correct.

  So I'd like to make a visible table, with a border around each cell and a different background color for the header. I'd like to eventually insert controls into this. For example, put a textfield inside one of the table elements, or some radio buttons, etc. Is there a control for this? I've narrowed it down to two possibilities, but they both seem kind of "meh": use the Grid Control - I like this but is there a way to color the border on the cell (I did not find this) use the DataGrid Control - this control is just way too complicated for what I need. I'm just looking for an html style table in silverlight, any ideas?

• Handling multiple UISwitch controls in a table view without using tag property

  I have a table view controller with multiple UISwitch controls in them. I set the delegate to the table view controller with the same action for all switches. I need to be able to determine what switch was changed, so I create an array of strings that contains the name of each switch. The indexes in the array will be put in the tag property of each UISwitch. However, I'm ready using the tag property for something else, namely to find the right control in the cell in cellForRowAtIndexPath with viewWithTag! (There are several things I need to set within each cell.) So, am I thinking along the right lines here? I feel I'm rather limited in how I find out exactly which UISwitch changed its value, so I can do something useful with it.

  Hello together, my Question is quite simple. I have an add-button. When I tap on it -- presentmodelviewController presents a UIViewController, which contains a simple Table with cells. When I tap on a Cell, i want to display a new View using pushViewController, which automatically creates a "back Button". At the top of it in this new View i have a Textfield, where I can enter some Text. When I tap the back-button, the view slides back to the add-View (which was presented using modalView...). Now i want the text edited in the view before to be placed in the Label of the first row (cell) on which I tapped. So I want to do this for 5 cells. Each of them presenting another xib. With following code i'm setting widget in definite cell: view = QTableView() label = QLabel( <some html text> ) ... view.setIndexWidget(index, label) I used html to make label's text clickable, but links became blue with underline and moreover by clicking on it with right mouse button appears popup menu with "Copy Link Locaion" option, where i wanted to place some hidden information instead of url and of course do not let user see this info. I'm looking for light-weight widget, i thought that insertion of QGraphicsView in each cell will lead to big computer loads, but can't think of any other solution. • How to troubleshoot deallocation of object in uitableview?

  I have a table view with tall cells. About 300 in height. The cells are custom and have an associated nib. In cellForRowAtIndexPath, I access an object in an array using indexPath.row. The object has properties, which I assign to labels on the custom cell. This works fine for the first two cells. Once I scroll enough for the third cell to get created, the app crashes. • In ExtJS, how do I place two fieldsets side-by-side in a panel with a hbox layout?

  In ExtJS, I'm having a little trouble placing two fieldsets side-by-side in a panel with a hbox layout. The hbox layout seems to be unaware of the fieldset's height, and cuts it off, even if I explicitly set the panel's height to something large. Here's what it looks like: The blue border is the hbox panel, and there's 2 fieldsets inside, 'Client Info' and 'Owner Info'. The code is like so (simplified and runnable in Firebug): var clientInfo = { xtype: 'fieldset', defaultType: 'textfield', title: 'Client Info', items: [ { fieldLabel: 'First Name' }, { fieldLabel: 'Last Name' }, { fieldLabel: 'Cell Phone #' }, { fieldLabel: 'Work Phone #' } ] }; var ownerInfo = { xtype: 'fieldset', defaultType: 'textfield', title: 'Owner Info', items: [ { fieldLabel: 'First Name' }, { fieldLabel: 'Last Name' }, { fieldLabel: 'Cell Phone #' }, { fieldLabel: 'Work Phone #' } ] }; new Ext.Panel({ layout: 'hbox', frame: true, height: 400, width: 800, defaults: { flex: 1 }, items: [ clientInfo, ownerInfo ] }).render(document.body); P.S. If you remove defaults: { flex: 1 }, the fieldsets render correctly, but doesn't automatically resize to fit the container, which is something I need. • Flex Datagrid editing cells in same row not firing collection change event

  Hi, I am using the flex datagrid to allow the user to edit some data. My update process relies on a CollectionEvent of type update. Basically I catch this event package the values and update the database. However, if the user edits a cell then moves to edit a cell in the same row the value is updated but a collection event is not fired. Only when clicking out of the row the event is fired. Has anyone had experience with this. I have heard the datagrid is a little quirky is this one of those quirks or am I doing this all wrong? Any help appreciated.

• Dynamically enable or disable RequiredFieldValidator based on value of DropDownList

  I have an ASP.NET form with three text inputs, one each for "Work Phone", "Home Phone" and "Cell Phone". Each of these text inputs has a RequiredFieldValidator associated with it. I also have a DropDownList where the user can select the preferred phone type. I want to only require the field that is selected in the DropDownList. For example, if the user selects "Work Phone" from the DropDownList, I want to disable the RequiredFieldValidator for "Home Phone" and "Cell Phone", thereby only making the "Work Phone" field required. I have a method that enables and disables these validators based on the value of the DropDownList, but I cannot figure out when to call it. I want this method to run before the validation takes place on the page. How would I do that?
