    So how do you display complex aggregated ViewModels whose Models have relations to each other? NO wpf disciple ever spoke about that, guess why its not possible... Do you think thats true? Don`t understand me? Look: A CustomerViewModel has many OrderViewModel and those many ProductViewModel. You have 3 Workspaces to enter the new data for all 3 ViewModels AND you have 3 listboxes/combobo/datagrid to multiselect Collections of type = customerVMs, orderVMs and productVM`s. That the UI makes sense to the user he should not need to turn off/on the workspace every new customer/order/product is added what is a bad user experience, how do you do this typical LOB application requirement?

    This is not really a programming question Question : Sometimes you have to learn a new language consider this situation for example : you have been programming in C# for some years and then one day you need to code in java. Now being a programmer you already know the programming concepts its just the syntax you need to get used to.     I have seen many job titles for people involved in a software development process, but never found a consensus about they mean. I know many of them are equivalent, and found some other questions about that here in SO, but I would like to know your definitions and comments about them. I want not only to know if there is really a consensus, but also to know if what I suppose to be a Software Architect, is really a Software Architect, and so on.   • IE to show Full URL path in the Title bar as in Status Bar

    Windows XP and IE8. Tabbed Browsing is OFF. So every single web page has its own title. I want to see in the title the same as I see in the Status bar i.e. I want the full URL of the web page I am viewing to be displayed in the Title bar, and so in the Task bar button too. How to achieve this? Thanks for all the answers in advance. Looks like this is rare case.

  • Vim (terminal) - copy to x clipboard and paste while suspeneded

    I have vimx installed, so I can copy in vimx to the x clipboard by using "+y and the like, which works well as long as I can keep the current vimx running. However, I also love to be able to switch to the current running shell with ctrl-z and be able to paste what I copied from vim into the shell. Does anyone know how to do this, because as soon as I suspend vim with ctr-z the x-clipboard becomes empty, until I put vim into the fg again.

  • How to Format Code in Research Reports

    I am currently writing a formal research report, and I'll be including code with this report. Question: Is there an accepted way of displaying code in research reports? I'm thinking both in terms of font, spacing, et cetera, and whether the code should be displayed inside the document, or in an appendix. The code will be JavaScript and PHP. None of the sections of code will be more than 25 lines (so they're mere snippets). There will be approx. half a dozen snippets. Each of the snippets will have a couple of paragraphs explaining what is happening in the code, and a discussion on its pros/cons. I have no contact with the body the report will be submitted to, and they have no published guidelines on how to format code (please do not question these points). Any help considered and appreciated.

  • How to best convert Flash compatible mp4 files with FFMPEG

    I am trying to convert different files to a flash compatible .mp4 file with ffmpeg, but i cant seem to succeed. Off cource the objective is to get the greatest quality with the smallest filesize. So far I have this, that works but it doesnt play in a flash player of some reason, and the result isnt that great, anybody got any tips on how to improve this conversion? ffmpeg -i input.file -f mp4 -vcodec mpeg4 -r 25 -b 560000 -s 610x340 -acodec aac -ac 2 -ab 64 -ar 44100 output.file Would be great the se other peoples experiences with this type of conversion.

Do you think that a talented programmer or somebody who is training himself to be really good could make more money in smaller companies? I think smaller companies have a lower average, but maybe great programmers can get much more. What do you think?
