• checking boolean property in XML(Spring)

  I am using Spring Framework . While writing coustum SQL queries , i am unable check a parameter of boolean value. For example this is not working .. do some SQl cods The above checking is not working , it is evaluating as equal in both the cases when booleanVariable is true and false . i tried to replace compareValue ="tree" and "false". As that is a monkey work i do sometimes . is it possible to check the boolean property in XML like above .

• margin-bottom property of a div's last element doesn't "extend" the div

  I have an element in a div, which has a background image. Below the div I have another div with another background image. Now the problem is that if the last element contained in the first div has margin-bottom applied there will be a gap between the 2 divs like this: Notice the gray gap caused by the margin-bottom property of the h2 element contained within the first div. I know this can be solved if I switch margin-bottom to padding-bottom but what if I need margin-bottom? How to fix this?

  Hello, I have the following code in a loop iterating over the different document objects: NSAutoreleasePool* pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc] init]; [document primitiveValueForKey:@"data"]; [data writeToFile:filename atomically:NO]; [document.managedObjectContext refreshObject:document mergeChanges:NO]; [pool release]; The "data" property is a large blob (a 1MB image). And as I monitor the memory with the Allocation Instrument memory usage is increasing. I cannot find where the leak is coming from and how to remove it. Thanks!

• SSRS doesn't honor the CanGrow Property when Exporting to Excel

  I have a Table in an SSRS report. one of the Table Cells contains the Descriptions of Parts in an order. these descriptions could vary in length and for that reson i have set the "CanGrow" Property to True. when i try to export the report to Excel im expecting that if the text length would exceed the width of the Cell then the height of the cell would grow and the whole text would be shown. Unfortunately the SSRS Excel Generator keeps the height as is and so only the part of the text which fits the width of the cell would be shown. i would appreciate any help or input to solve this problem. In otherwords, I want to update ALL css styles on the page where color = certain value, and then also update border where = certain value. An example (not valid code) might be: $("all css [color:#000000]").html("#FF0000"); How could this be possible using jquery?

  I have a fairly simple class that I want to save to SQL Server via NHibernate (w/ Fluent mappings). The class is made up mostly of optional string fields. My problem is I default the class fields to string.empty to avoid NullRefExceptions and when NHibernate saves the row to the database each column contains an empty string instead of null. Question: Is there a way for me to get NHibernate to automatically save null when the string property is an empty string? Or do I need to litter my code with if (string.empty) checks?

  I have a System.Timer setup to trigger an event every day at 2AM. If the process the timer starts fails then I want the timer to be reset to run every 15 minutes until the process completes succesfully. // this is how the timer is set up. // this is working correctly. double startTime = milliseconds_of_hour_to_start. Timer = new System.Timers.Timer( startTime); Here is the code to reset the timer on success or failure of the event handler. NOTE the timer is not being stopped, just the Interval property is being reset. if (ProcessSuccess) { Timer.Interval = TimeSpan.FromHours(24).TotalMilliseconds; } else { Timer.Interval = TimeSpan.FromMinutes(15).TotalMilliseconds; } My question is this, if the process fails say 4 times, then succeeds will the Timer now be running at around 3AM? i.e. after failing will the original start time of 2AM be advanced by 15 minutes?

• First-time software contractor, building a system for a multi-site client; who should own the intell

  I'm very new to software contracting; this is my first project. I've just built a point-of-sale software system for a client, and neither of us put a lot of work into the contract. I wrote that the software was "jointly owned" with exclusive license for use given to the client. The client is using it at one store and is very pleased with it. The client is also planning to expand to numerous stores over time, and wants to use it in every store. The client also now wants full ownership of the software, with me as the exclusive developer. I am very hesitant to allow this, and I am seeking previous experience. Should I sell the IP but demand royalties for every site at which it's installed? Should I demand royalties for every sale made using the software? Should I really start talking to a lawyer? A couple of other details: in terms of risk, it is fair to say that the client is assuming the risk, but the client is now using the software and exclaiming how great it is (and so I assume, how it is improving business). Also, the software is tailored to the client specifically, but could, with a bit of work, be repackaged and resold to other clients. Even if the client owned the IP I would certainly want to make sure that I then did have (significant) royalties on such sales.

When I compile this code it shows me at last line that it is not heap. Maybe because the index starts from 1 and we don't pay attention to index 0, yes?

  Hello, i'm trying to modify a property of a column (in sql server 2008 r2) which is of xml data type. I want set (Is full-text indexed) to yes, but after I do this and try to save changes, i get an error: 'Abc' table - Unable to modify table. Column: B is not full-text searchable. Column B is not the column I'm modyfing, but it's content is based on the modified xml column (it takes a value from one element in xml). Weird thing is that column B is full-text indexed (in table designer). Any ideas why i cannot apply changes to the xml column?

  class Person{ @Persistent private List tags = ArrayList() } I want to let the user query a person based on his/her tag, so I had my query filter like this: tags.contains(tagValue1) and if the user want to search for multiple tags, I would just add to the filter so if the user is searching for 3 tags, then the query would be tags.contains(tagValue1) && tags.contains(tagValue2) && tags.contains(tagValue3) I think this approach is wrong, because the datastore then needs to have an index that have the tags property three times... and if the user search for more than 3 tags at a time then it will be broken. What's the proper way to do this? Do you guys have any suggestions?

I'm just implementing a simple animation moving a div left or up using animate() but I would like to be able to set the "top" and "left" css properties dynamically. I would like to use the same function rather than have to have two, one for "left" and one for "top".   Hello, I'd like to know how set works in a property when it does more than just setting the value of a private member variable. Let's say I've a private member in my class (private int myInt). For instance, I can make sure that the the value returned is not negative get { if(myInt < 0) myInt = 0; return myInt; } With SET, all I can do is affecting the private variable like so set { myInt = value; } I didn't see in any book how I can do more than that. How about if I wan't to do some operation before affecting the value to myInt?   I would like to add miro to the default application GUI in system settings/default applications.I added ;miro.desktopnext to all rhythmbox.desktop entries eventually discovering if it was not added to audio/x-vorbis+ogg=rhythmbox.desktop as audio/x-vorbis+ogg=rhythmbox.desktop;miro.desktop it would not appear in the system settings/default applications drop down list for audio. I can find default.list in either /etc/gnome/defaults.list or /usr/share/applications/defaults.list modifying either gives me the same results.What is the difference and which is the correct list to modify?
