    How do I find out which user entered the most articles and then count how many articles that user entered using PHP & MySQL. Here is my MySQL tables.     hi <?php class myClass { var $input; var $output; function myClass($input) { $output = 'You entered: ' . $input; return $output; } } $test = new myClass; echo $test->myClass(123); ?> this works, but returns this warning: Warning: Missing argument 1 for myClass::myClass() I read in to this, and seems that the constructor is expecting a value, so by adding: function myClass($input='') the warning is removed, but this seems so unnecessary? could someone enlighten me as to why it's required to define a value to prevent that warning? thanks for any pointers

    if i pick 10 numbers from a possible 80. what is the probablity for someone else picking the same 10 numbers as me? or just 4 numbers? or no numbers? i think it's no matches: 10/80 one match: 10*9/80*79 so the formula would be (10!/matches!)/(80!/matches!) is this right? i've only just started doing this at A-level and i need it for a game script i'm making.

  • Simple iPhone tally method question

    Just trying to create a simple method that counts up 1 on the tally when the button is pressed. My knowledge is extremely limited and I am pretty sure that my problem is somewhere in the method implementation: -(IBAction) updateTally:(id) sender { NSString *text; int total = 0; total = total + 1; text=[[NSString alloc] initWithFormat: @"%i", total]; lblTally.text = text; } I have done the necessary interface declarations for the lblTally UILabel and the updateTally method. I suspect that there is some sort of an NSString/int/%i/%@ mixup that I am making but I'm not sure how to fix it. When I run the program as it currently is it displays a 0 in the lblTally label field on the iphone. When I press the button it then displays a 1 in that field. However, if I continue to press the button - nothing happens.

  • Textmate newbie question: how to indent CSS

    New to TextMate and can't find the answer in the documentation. I've saved an empty file as CSS and the 'active bundle' is showing as CSS, at the bottom of the screen. I've then pasted in a bunch of CSS from elsewhere (a minified page). However, it's all pasted in as a single line. How can I indent it to look like 'proper' CSS, using TextMate? Text + Indent just indents the whole line by a single tab. thanks!

  • jQuery adding a function to a link question

    Hello all, I have a dynamically created table which in the last <td> there is a hidden <div> which is shown when the user hovers over a link in the <td>. That all works fine but there are several links in the div that I want to fire a function based on the id of the link concat'd with an string captured from a <td> from the parent row. I can capture the the variables I need from the id and <td> but something is wrong with the click function I have created. I monitored the function in FireBug and the function appears to be firing on all of the links instead of the one that is clicked. I edited a post of mine so I coul I overloaded << for a class, Score (defined in score.h), in score.cpp. ostream& operator<< (ostream & os, const Score & right) { os << right.getPoints() << " " << right.scoreGetName(); return os; } (getPoints fetches an int attribute, getName a string one) I get this compiling error for a test in main(), contained in main.cpp binary '<<' : no operator found which takes a right-hand operand of type 'Score' (or there is no acceptable conversion) How come the compiler doesn't 'recognize' that overload as valid? (includes are proper) Thanks for your time.

    We have developed a ASP.NET 3.5 web application with Web Server 2008 and has implemented a custom authentication solution using active directory as the credentials store. Our front end application uses a normal login form to capture the user name and password and leverages the Win32 LogonUser method to authenticate the user’s credentials. When we are calling the LogonUser method, we are using the LOGON32_LOGON_NETWORK as the logon type. The issue we have found is that user profile folders are being created under the C:\Users folder of the web server. The folder seems to be created when a new user who has never logged on before is logging in for the first time. As the number of new users logging into the application grows, disk space is shrinking due to the large number of new user folders getting created. I need to get the token back after the authentication (authenticated \ password locked \ wrong password ) its futher use and based on logic showing different web pages Has anyone seen this behavior with the Win32 LogonUser method? Please answer the following issue: Is it possible to disable this behavior to create the folder as taking 2.78 MB of space for every new user and it eating my disck space? I have tried LOGON32_LOGON_BATCH but it was giving an error 1385 in authentication user. For any solution related to LOGON32_LOGON_BATCH, can you please confirm if that will stop creating the folders at location C:\users. Also for any possible solution I need either I am able to disable the folder to be created at C:\user or Any other option to authenticated user which will not creat folders.

Release should be called since alloc was called, right? If #1 is right, then I would need to store a reference to each of these in an instance variable in order to release them in the dealloc? Perhaps I'm wrong all around...

    So, I am able to create an array that populates the fields of the Table, but am having troubles creating the subtext that appears below the main fields. I currently have: - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; listOfForms = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; [listOfForms addObject:@"First Form"]; } and then: NSString *cellValue = [listOfDAForms objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]; cell.textLabel.text = cellValue; in the cellForRowAtIndexPath portion. Why can't I add: listOfNames = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; [listOfNames addObject:@"Named Form"]; and NSString *cellSubscript = [listOfNames objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]; cell.detailTextLabel.text = cellSubscript; in order to make the little subview work? What am I doing wrong?

    [I'm sure this is not odd at all, but I need just a bit of help] I have two retain properties @property (nonatomic, retain) NSArray *listContent; @property (nonatomic, retain) NSArray *filteredListContent; and in the viewDidLoad method I set the second equal to the first self.filteredListContent = self.listContent; and then on every search I do this self.filteredListContent = [listContent filteredArrayUsingPredicate:predicate]; I thought I should do a release right above this assignment -- since the property should cause an extra retain, right? -- but that causes the program to explode the second time I run the search method. The retain counts (without the extra release) are 2 the first time I come into the search method, and 1 each subsequent time (which is what I expected). Some guidance would help, thanks! Is it correct to not release?
