    I've never built a ff extension before and before I start I want some feedback on my idea to make sure its possible. I want a firefox extension that allows me to supply a url with parameters in GET format, the extension would take the url, parse it, and submit the request as POST rather than GET. Is this possible? and could someone give me some advice on how to start designing an extension? or point me at a tutorial?

    I'm a newbie at networking. I understand the concept of multicast, but was wondering if it's reliable on the open/public internet? It seems like sort of an edge case that different backbones or ISPs might intentionally break to reduce router load or generally segment the network for practical high-use applications. I was thinking to just go through the Django tutorial with them, but are there things in there that wouldn't make sense to non-web programmers? Do they need any kind of webdev background first?     Hello, I know how to generate rounded corners using images. But please have a look at the link :- http://roundedbox.andreas-kalt.de/ The rounded corners on all four corners are all images, but my question is how are those borders in the middle done? Those green color borders that surround the whole div. The tutorial is given but it is German :(. Also i don't want to use Css3 like -webkit-border-radius etc as they are not yet supported in IE Thanks in advance :)

  • Is there a way to close a Unix socket for only reading or writing?

    Is there a way to only close "one end" of a TCP socket to cleanly indicate one side of a connection is done writing to the connection? (Just like you do with a pipe in every Unix pipe tutorial ever.) Or should I use some in-band solution like a sentinel value or some such? I only found shutdown() in the libc documentation and that doesn't seem like it does what I want.

    I'm a newbie android programmer and I recently followed a tutorial which shows how to create a local SQLite database by using SQLiteDatabase.rawQuery to return a Cursor. I would like to modify my app to use CursorLoader which is apparently a better way to access the database. My problem is the CursorLoader constructor expects a URI to be given. Do I just input "file:///[path to db]"? Seems a bit messy.
