    I am using OpenIdLogin (with OpenIdButton) control on my login page, I noticed that there are properties "RememberMe", "RememberMeText" and "RememberMeVisible". However I can't get it to work, is there any example? Say, after the user logged on to my site successufully via Google, the user then decided to close the browser. If the user launch a new browser again, the user should not have to type the login/password again, right? Thanks for help

    Im writing a bash-script to perform an offsite backup, using rsync over SSH. I'm able to send STDOUT to logger, for logs via rsync --del -az -e 'ssh -i mycrt.crt' /home/gnutt/backup/ me@offisite:backup | logger -i But I want to send STDERR instead, so if there is a problem, such as that offsite is unavailable, that output should be sent to logger and logged.

  • How can I run a Perl program when I don't have ssh or shell access?

    I just installed an IRC bot, B****X (Don't ask, I don't know - the real name is not censored). I did all of the configuration and chmod'ed the pl files to 755, but running it won't work. My host does not allow SSH/Shell (which is how the documentation says to runs he script), but just going to the URL usually works because of this. However, I get a 500 (Internal Server Error) error. The required behaviour is as follows: I have a link(with a ajax link embedded) xyz.com/admin#page1 When I go to the above page, I should be redirected to the login page, if I am not logged in. After I log in, I should be taken back to xyz.com/admin#page1 For this I need to store the url in session when I visit any page. The problem is that when I do request.uri, I get xyz.com/admin But I want to store xyz.com/admin#page1 Regards, Pankaj

    Hello! I have a local phpMyAdmin (installed via apt-get) adn I'm tired of entering login and password every time I try to open it. Database contains no sensitive info, just test tables, and is visible only from 127.0.0.1 I want phpMyAdmin already be logged in as root user with password 1234 (for example) when I open it. How do I do that? P.S. Saving password in a browser is not what I want.

    I'm currently using the BO API for .NET to connect to our reports database. In .NET, I'm getting the following error: Your security profile does not include permission to refresh Web Intelligence documents. (WIS 30253) Interestingly enough, I can log into BO, and I can refresh the data and grab prompts as I'm logged in. From .NET, with the same username and password, I can't seem to do so. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

I thought for sure that behavior, actions, events would be strictly database stored but I noticed that some of the larger social sites out there also track a lot by logging what happens. Is it good practice to store prominent data about users in a database and since thousands of user actions can be spawned easily, should they be simply logged?

  • Can Apache httpd be made to log errors to console instead of log files under Windows?

    I'm doing infrequent development with Apache/PHP on my Windows machine so I've opted to run apache as a console process instead of a service. It would be nice if errors could be logged to the console window instead of a logfile so I can see them immediately. Can this be done somehow? It doesn't seem that apache has such a capability built in and I can't find a mod that would do this either.

    When the user clicks a logout button, I connect to a script that simply does this session_destroy(); session_start(); I thought this would be enough to reset all $_SESSION variables such as $_SESSION['logged'] and $_SESSION['username'] but when I load the page again, it automatically logs me in as if the session is still active.
