  • JQuery UI Autocomplete - disallow free text entry?

    Is it possible to disallow free text entry in the JQuery UI autocomplete widget? eg I only want the user to be allowed to select from the list of items that are presented in the autocomplete list, and dont want them to be able to write some random text. I didn't see anything in the demos/docs describing how to do this. http://jqueryui.com/demos/autocomplete/ I'm using autocomplete like this $('#selector').autocomplete({ source: url, minlength: 2, select: function (event, ui) { // etc }

  • add text to the choice_label of ChoiceField in Django

    The ChoiceField creates a select html element and the options show the choice_label which is the _unicode_ of each model object. How can I change the text of the choice_label without modifying _unicode_ ? I have a Product model and I want to show in the options text the product name + price + link to edit. I've searched in fields.py and widgets.py but couldn't find what needed to be changed. Thanks

  • Block element text overflow problem in IE7

    I'm making a "sort elements" web game using jQuery, HTML & CSS. While everything works fine in FF, IE8, Opera, Chrome, I'm having problem with IE7 wrapping words inside block elements. Here's how it looks in IE7 (wrong): Link (cannot post images as a new user) In IE8 the box with wrapped text would just expand to fit it whole in one line without any overflows.     Hi all I have a textbox in aspx page in which the user enters text. Now when user clicks on a button called "Sin" the textbox should show "Sin[]" and the cursor has to be placed in between brackets.Like as follows "Sin[<cursor here]" Now when the user clicks on some other button say "Cos" the textbox text should show "Sin[Cos[]]" and the cursor has be placed between the brackets of Cos as follows: "Sin[Cos[<cursor here]]". How is this handled. Any simple code please.. Thanks in advance

    Looking at the document, the goal is to select the second cell from the second row, in the first table. I've created the following expression: //row/td[2]/text()[td[@class="identifier"]/span[text()="identifier"]] but it does not return any rows. Unfortunately I do not see what's wrong. To me, it looks alright. The expression should: select the text in the second cell in any row where the text of a span equals to "identifier" and the span is located in cell with a "identifier" class I'd appreciate it if you could point out what I'm doing wrong.
