    Hello! I have a doctrine update query to save my data: $customer = Doctrine_Query::create() -update('Customer') -set('fax',"'". $this-getRequest()-getParam('fax')."'") -where('id ='.$this-getRequest()-getParam('id')) -execute(); The problem is that the field fax has parenthesis and doctrine returns an error in the query because of these parenthesis "(" and ")".     I am trying to update a datetime column in an android sqlite db to use international date format (yyyy-mm-dd) instead of the current format (mm/dd/yyyy). I want to use the sqlite date() function to reformat the current value of the column. I thought it would be as simple as the following: update tblename set thedate = date(thedate) but the above does not work. How would i write the sql statement to accomplish this? thanks patrick

    I have the following code. What I want to achieve is to update the shown list when I click an entry so I can traverse through the list. I found the two uncommented ways to do it here on stackoverflow, but neither works. I also got the advice to create a new ListActivity on the data update, but that sounds like wasting resources? EDIT: I found the solution myself. All you need to do is call "SimpleCursorAdapter.changeCursor(new Cursor);". This propblem is occuring when a child entity is being updated for some reason the sql statement is being run against the Parent Entity, for some reason NHibenate is saying the parent has changed but when the set clause is being built no changes are found, can anyone help. The application I am constructing isn 3 tier. The domain entities are light weight data contract only entities.
