  • How to debug PYGTK program

    When python raise an exception in the middle of a pygtk signal handling callback, the exception is catched by the gtk main loop, its value printed and the main loop just continue, ignoring it. If you want to debug, with something like pdb (python -m pdb myscript.py), you want that when the exception occure PDB jump on it and you can start debuging. Because of that it's not possible. How can i debug pygtk program then ?

    I've got this openmp fortran program doing an embarrassingly parallel problem - do loop over 512^3 elements. See output below. Why would there be such strange behavior in the elapsed time as a function of threads? I thought it would peak at a sweet spot then slowly degrade. This clearly isn't happening. Perhaps I misunderstand something about openmp.     I am writing a program that reads the input from a file and then prints it to the screen. When I run it without taking the input from the file, it works perfectly fine. However, every time I try to run it from the file it gives me an "Exception in thread "main" java.util.NoSuchElementException: No line found at" error that occurs every place the input is suppose to be read. I have no idea what is going on.

    I'm running eclipse with the Blackberry Java Plug-in, working on a 1.4.5 Blackberry project. The project has been building and debugging in the emulator normally until I started getting: A prompt saying "[projectname].debug file is missing". A message in the Blackberry Packaging Console saying "I/O Error: Cannot find program "jar": CreateProcess error=2." Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?
