    Hi guys i have a table with shifts history along with emp ids im using this code to retrieve a list of employees and their total shifts by specifying the range to count from: SELECT ope_id, count(ope_id) FROM operator_shift WHERE ope_shift_date >=to_date( '01-MAR-10','dd-mon-yy') and ope_shift_date <= to_date('31-MAR-10','dd-mon-yy') GROUP BY OPE_ID which gives OPE_ID COUNT(OPE_ID) 1 14 2 7 3 6 4 6 5 2 6 5 7 2 8 1 9 2 10 4 10 rows selected. NOW how do i choose the employee with the highest no of shifts under the specified range date, please this is really important

    Hey guys, I am working on a Natural Language parser which examines a sentence in english and extracts some information like name, date etc. for example: "Lets meet next tuesday at 5 PM at the beach." So the output will be something like : "Lets meet 15/09/2009 at 1700 hr at the beach" So basically, what i want to know is that is there any framework or library available for JAVA to do these kind of operations like parsing dates from a sentence and give a output with some specified format.     Code Complete says it is good practice to always use block identifiers, both for clarity and as a defensive measure. Since reading that book, I've been doing that religiously. Sometimes it seems excessive though, as in the case below. Is Steve McConnell right to insist on always using block identifiers?     Whenever I use print_r or var_dump they come out all sloppy and in one line instead of formatted like I see so many people and the actual php.net site being able to achieve. What do I do to get them like this - Array ( [a] => apple [b] => banana [c] => Array ( [0] => x [1] => y [2] => z ) ) Instead of this Array([a] => apple [b] => banana [c] => Array ( [0] => x [1] => y [2] => z )) (Pretty sure it comes out even messier than that I was just deleting whitespace by hand.)

  • How can find out the system default currency symbol on BlackBerry?

    I have a need to display a currency value in my application. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this with the RIM API, so I'm reduced to creating my own solution (a common refrain for BlackBerry development, unfortunately) Currently I'm using the Formatter class, from javax.microedition.locale like so protected String formatResult(double result) { try { Locale l = Locale.getDefaultForSystem(); Formatter formatter = new Formatter(l.toString()); return formatter.formatCurrency(result); } catch (UnsupportedLocaleException e) { return "This fails for the default locale because BlackBerry sucks"; } } I always hit the catch block in the simulator. Since this doesn't work by default on the simulator, I'm hesitant to put it in the application. So I have two questions: Can anyone tell me if the above solution is the way to go? And how to fix it, of course. Is there a way I can retrieve the currency symbol for the current locale programmatically so I can format myself?

    I have a PHP application using an Oracle XE database. Whenever I add a date the hours minutes, and seconds seem to get left out. Is there some special format, or type I should use to be able to store this? I have tried using to_date, and specifying the format I am using. When i do it, i get this error: 500 | Internal Server Error | Doctrine_Connection_Mysql_Exception SQLSTATE[HY093]: Invalid parameter number: number of bound variables does not match number of tokens stack trace I think the error dependens on this command: 'SELECT b.id AS b_id, b.day AS b_day FROM birthday b WHERE b.day = ? AND b.day <= ?', array('month' = '1','day' = '2', 'year' = '2014') but i dont know how can i solve it.. Any idea? Javi

    I have richTextBox1, and here is the contents: line one from my textbox is this, and i want this to be normal, arial, 8 point non-bold font line two, i want everything after the | to be bolded... | this is bold line three: everything in brackets i (want) to be the color (Red) line 4 is "this line is going to be /slanted/ or with italics and so on, basically if I know how to do what I mentioned above, I'll know everything I need to know to complete my project.
