• DatabaseName.bak File Transfer Problem

  I have downloaded databasename.bak file from my hosting company, when i tried to restore that DB file in SQL server 2008 it is keep on giving me following error. The media family on device 'C:\go4sharepoint_1384_8481.bak' is incorrectly formed. SQL Server cannot process this media family. RESTORE HEADERONLY is terminating abnormally. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 3241) According to this error and from following link http://www.sqlcoffee.com/Troubleshooting047.htm Later when I tried to restore file on server it was restored correctly, but when I tried to transfer same file using FTP Software FileZila and tried to restore that downloaded file it was giving above error. That is file is getting corrupted on the way to tranfer using FTP. Any Idea how can i avoid that file to get courrupt? Note: File is downloaded using FileZila - TransferType as Binary. Thank you.

Problem on here is that When i set replication_factor of this keyspace from 1 to 2 (contain 10 counter column family ), all cpu of node increase from 10% ( when use replication factor=1) to --- 90%. :( :( who can help me work around that :( . why counter column consume too much cpu time :(. thanks all

• Is there any two-panels bookmarks manager for Google Chrome?

  Hi to all. I'm just wondering, is there any two-panels-interface (like Total Commander, File Manager, etc) bookmark manager, extension, etc for Google Chrome? Using of the default bookmark manager is not so suitable because of two reasons: 1) I've gathered a very large collection of bookmarks (please, don't ask why) 2) bookmarks hierarchy tree always expands its branches when the bookmark manager is open (this makes the moving of bookmarks through the bookmark tree much and much harder). I tried to use Link Commander but it's very and very slow. Any suggestions? Thank you for advices.

  At the beginning PHP was a scripting language. But after the introduction and improvement of OOP I see more and more objects added to the core. They started with SPL which grew a lot, now we have DOMDocument family, DateTime family which should be part of PECL, Pear or Zend Framework or implemented by each one of us. Shouldn't be php only for build-in functions and all these objects passed to something else? Example. DateTime class is part of the core and I see it very similar with Zend_Date.

• How to setup GIT repo on server with need for working dir (non- bare)

  I want to have configurate a GIT repo for a website. Multiple users will have a clone of the repo on their local machine and on the end of each day they push their work to the server. I can setup a bare repo, but I want a working dir/non-bare repository. The idea is that the working dir of the repository will the root folder for the website. At the end of each day all changes will be visible directly. But I can't find a way to do this.   I'm looking to deploy 389 Directory in my environment to replace an existing iPlanet installation. I would be using it primarily to store user account data for authentication purposes. I have two physically separate data centers that I would like to share the same directory tree. My initial thinking is to setup 389 DS as follows: -A Master/Consumer in DataCenter A -A Master/Consumer in DataCenter B -Replication agreement between both masters, to mirror the directory tree in both environments. Does this sound like a reasonable approach? Is there a better way to do it? (ie: four masters?) Is there documentation for best practices when setting up 389 DS in situations such as this? Thanks.

• Jscrollpane causese text to disappear on internet explorer

• window.open() in an iPad on load of a frame does not work

  I am trying to modify a site that uses "Morten's JavaScript Tree Menu" to display PDFs in a frames set using the Adobe Reader plug-in. On the iPad the frame is useless, so I want to open the PDF in a new tab. Not wanting to mess with the tree menu I thought I could use JavaScript in the web page being opened in the viewer frame to open a new tab with the PDF. I am using window.open() in $(document).ready(function() to open the pdf in the new tab. The problem is that window.open() does not want to work in the iPad. If I switch things around widow.open() works fine on a computer. In another project I am using window.open() successfully on the iPad from an onclick function. I tried using a timer function. I also tried adding an onclick function to the div and posting a click event. In both cases they worked on a computer but not an iPad. I am stumped. I know it would make more sense to handle the ipad in the tree menu frame, but that code is so complex I can't figure out where to put/modify the onclick event. Is there a way to change the object so that it opens in a new tab? Is anyone familiar enough with Mortens Tree Menu code that can tell me how to channge the on click event so that it opens the pdf in a new tab instead of opening a page in the frame? Thanks

I'd like to split those archives: automatically - instead of generating mini-archives by hand; consistently - so that an archive can be extracted independently of another. For instance for a tree of 24GB which would be archived into 10GB I would get 3 archives, all of them < 4.7 GB and each of them being able to be extracted without the other 2. I'm using dirvish so I'm archiving a filesystem tree. Update: I'm using Linux.

• how to compare files/directories of 2 separate solaris boxes ?

  Hi Friends I have 2 solaris boxes and I need to check certain directories (on local filesystem and mounted nfs) to make sure that they match up on both boxes and to delete or move the other mismatches to elsewhere on the local filesystem. I investigated for unix commands like rsync, and tree but it appears that these commands are not supported on my Solaris boxes. What is the best approach to this problem with the least pain to solve it ? to use rsync, tree and then diff the outputs or find ? I have trouble limiting the find command to certain directories as there are mounted folders that contain too many xml files that I don't care to much in that directory. What's the find command to search multiple directory paths on a single find command. Thanks Sincerely

  Sorry if this is a novice question, but I don't understand it. I am fitting a sigmoid curve to my data with glm(). This works, I can plot the output and I see a nice sigmoid curve. However, how do I get R to return the final values it has fit? • Value of A.S. Degree in Programming

  I am in a quite unusual family situation. For the next two years, I have to stay at home where the only post-secondary institution available is a community college. After two years, I will have to start earning a living. I do not really have any real-world programming experience to put on my résumé. I did some not-too-advanced work in PHP for family and friends, and I’m pretty sure that I want to program for a living. I have been working on an A.S. Degree in Computer Programming and Analysis since fall. My question regarding the degree is: is it worth anything to potential employers or am I just wasting my time? Is there a better way to spend the oncoming two years? If I could get an internship and some experience, would that hold more weight than a two-year degree without experience?

• Expand <div> tag to bottom of page with CSS

  Hi all, I know this question gets asked a lot because I have looked at many "solutions" trying to get this to work for me. I can get it to work if I hack up the html but I want to use all CSS. All I want is a header with two columns below it, and I want these three items to fill the entire page/screen, and I want to do it with CSS and without frames or tables. The XAMPP user interface looks exactly how I want my page to look, but again, I do not want to use frames. I cannot get the two orangeish colored columns to extend to the bottom of the screen. I do have it so it looks like the right column extends to the bottom of the screen just by changing the body background color to the same color as the background color of the right column, but I would like both columns to extend to the bottom so I didn't have to do that.
