  • CPU on ubuntu goes crazy

    Hi, I am running ubuntu 9.10. At the sudden the CPU goes crazy and when I do top, it is used by a command called 'dd' and it is run by USER 'root'. It keeps going to for 15 minutes. Can you please tell what is it doing? and if I can kill it by reboot my machine? Thank you.

I am setting up a BizTalk 2009 Server production environment and I wonder if this tutorial: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc558972(BTS.10).aspx is still fairly accurate for an installation on all the latest platform software (Hyper-V, Windows Server 2008, BizTalk Server 2009, SQL Server 2008)? Is there anything like this but more up to date? Any other advice about this process and links to articles, blogs & tutorials would be appreciated.

  • Amazon S3 bucket - download only certain files

    Hi I have an Amazon S3 bucket with 10,000 images sitting in it with a standard naming convention: 001_small.jpg 001_large.jpg 002_small.jpg 002_large.jpg Because there are such a large amount of files I don't want to download ALL of them and I don't want to sit there for a couple of hours to select just the *_large.jpg files... Can someone suggest an S3 file manager that can let me select only the *_large.jpg files to download?? Thanks!

    hi , I am using hostapd,wireless tools with madwifi for my wireless ap in my board. The WEP, WPA-PSK connections and communications between my board and my desktop PC, WINDOWS XP SP2) (with OLITEC wireless usb)are fine. But when i configured the WPA type, connection established but it is showing the status in the secuirity dialog box "TKIP - Key Absent" Can any one faced this problem?? /renjith g

    Hi folks, I am (was) using an install of Win7 on the C Disk Partition, I formatted the D Disk Parition, and now Win7 fails to bootup. I suspect the bootup config files were stored within the D Partition, despite the install residing on the C Partition. Any ideas on how I can fix this? :)

  • is my touchpad dying? Gentoo Linux

    Hi all, My touchpad on my laptop appears to be no longer functioning. I typically use an external keyboard and mouse so I didn't notice the problem until I tried to use the touchpad. Even after toggling the on/off switch several times, the touchpad still doesn't work. In the logs, I see something about cannot read byte from synaptics device.     Hi I need to control a Windows 7 PC via VNC from a Mac in an office LAN. Since the IPs are dynamically assigned, I'd like the PC to appear in my "Places" and in the automatically detected nearby servers in VNC client I'm using -- both of which require the PC to advertise its VNC server via Bonjour (right?). I tried installing ultravnc, which works when I access it directly by IP, but it doesn't seem to advertise itself in the network. Any ideas?

    Hi, I was moving iPhone applications directory, and ended in a result that some applications are missing from Springboard. As far as I can see, the apps in /Applications/GUID-LIKE-DIRECTORIES are missing like Facebook; however I see they are in /Applications if I check with SSH. Any help?

Therefore Xen does not create vif network interface when I launch xl create /etc/xen/my_server.cfg but does create vif network interface with the command xm create /etc/xen/my_server.cfg Here are sample configuration: nano /etc/xen/xl.conf vifscript="vif-bridge" nano /etc/xen/xend-config.sxp (network-script network-bridge) (vif-script vif-bridge) nano /etc/default/xen TOOLSTACK=xl Any idea ?     Hi, I am planning out a Hyper-V R2 Cluster environment. I was wondering if I went to the effort of deploying one of the few methods to network boot from iSCSI inside the guests, whether the legacy network adapter would switch to a synthetic after boot, or whether the connection could be handed to a synthetic network after boot? This is obviously for performance reasons. MS suggests that some emulated devices are capable of switching to synthetic with integration services after boot, but doesn't specifically list all which are capable.

We don't want these mails to end up with our users but for different reasons we can't use a catch_all solution and we only have the one available mail server. What we need is a way to forward incoming mail from any domain not specified in relay_domains to a specified mailbox.
