  • Make staus bar visible without overlapping view

    Hello, I have a tab bar with two views. In the first view the iPhone status bar is hidden using [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:YES animated:YES]. When the second view is loaded, and the status bar is made visible again using [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:NO animated:YES] it overlaps the view. How do I make the status bar visible again without overlapping the second view? Thanks

    hi I want my page's BODY not to be scrollable but a DIV inside the BODY should be scrollable. I have this in my css file: body { overflow:hidden } .mainSection { overflow:scroll } but it doesn't work and the DIV doesn't become scrollabel (it just shows two disabled scroll bars for the DIV)!

  • Dreaded iframe horizontal scroll bar can't be removed in IE?

    I have an iframe. The content is wider than the width I am setting so the iframe gets a horizontal scroll bar. I can't increase the width of the iframe so I want to just remove the scroll bar. I tried setting the scroll property to "no" but that kills both scroll bars and I want the vertical one. I tried setting overflow-x to "hidden" and that killed the horizontal scroll bar in ff but not in IE. sad for me.

  • Hashing (hidding) strings in Python

    What I need is to hash a string. It doesn't really have to be secure because its just going to be a hidden pharse in the text file (simply it doesn't have to be recognizable for a human-eye). It should not be just a random string because when user will be typing the string I would like to hash it and compare it with already hashed one (in the text file). What would be the best for this purpose? Can it be done with the own class?

    Question for indie Mac developers out there: How do I implement a 30-day time trial in a non-evil fashion? Putting a counter in the prefs is not an option, since wiping prefs once a month is not a problem for an average user. Putting the counter in a hidden file somewhere sounds a bit dodgy - as a user I hate when apps sprinkle my hard drive with random files. Any ideas?

I was wondering if I could make a python script or something else that would go to the website and click some buttons returning the link that the submit button generates, if so how could I pass the extra parameter that influences the creation of the link? thanks in advance.

    So I've found similar questions but none that answer all the questions I have and I know there must be a simple jQuery answer to this. I've got multiple images that are being dynamically placed in their own containing div that have overflow:hidden, they need to fill their containing divs and be centered(horizontally and vertically) also. The containing divs will be different sizes as well. So in short: multiple different sized images fill and center in containing div. containing divs will be different sizes. will be used multiple times on a page.     Hi, I have a problem I have no idea how to solve. I have a user control wrapped inside update panel which works fine, but when I set userControl.Visible = false AJAX response containts   which generates empty lines in IE 7 and 6. As you can imagine this accupy a lot of space when I have 30 hidden user controls. What should I do to prevent   to be sent with response?

    I'm trying to have scrolls on an iframe without the scrollbars showing up. I've tried so many codes, I've tried this too, I don't know if I just mess up but my mind is really all over the place trying to figure this out. I've tried overflow:hidden but that just disables the scrolling of the page. I'd still want the texts to scroll without showing the scroll bars. I need help I've been trying to figure this out for days
