  • Simple URL rewrite, not redirect, with .htaccess

    I'm pretty inexperienced with .htaccess so please bear with me. I have a domain - "http://www.exampletest.com" which redirects to a folder at a different domain where I have hosting i.e: "http://www.differenturl.com/exampletest" Is there an easy mod_rewrite rule where I could have anything at "http://www.differenturl.com/exampletest" show up as "http://www.exampletest.com?" An example would be: "http://www.differenturl.com/exampletest/user.php" - "http://www.exampletest.com/user.php" Any assistance is greatly appreciated.     There's a field with type of varchar. It actually stores a float point string. Like 2.0 , 12.0 , 34.5 , 67.50 ... What I need is a update statement that remove the ending zeros of fields like 2.0 , 12.0 , change them to their integer representation , that is 2 , 12 ...,and leave 3.45 , 67.50 unchanged . How should I do this ? I am using oracle 10.

    Hi, I have the following query : SELECT COUNT(*) FROM Address adr INNER JOIN Auditable a on adr.UniqueId = a.UniqueId on a big DB (1.3M adresses, 4M+ auditables) both UniqueId columns are clustered primary keys the query is taking quite long to complete...I feel dumb, but is there any way to optimize it? I want to count all the address entries that have an underlying auditable... thanks!

    I have a database with three tables: user_table country_table city_table I want to write ANSI SQL which will allow me to fetch all the user data (i.e. user details including the name of the country of the last school and the name of the city they live in now). The problem I am having is that I have to use a self join, and I am getting slightly confused. The schema is shown below: CREATE TABLE user_table (id int, first_name varchar(16), last_school_country_id int, city_id int); CREATE TABLE country_table (id int, name varchar(32)); CREATE TABLE city_table (id int, country_id int, name varchar(32)); This is the query I have come up with so far, but the results are wrong, and sometimes, the db engine (mySQL), asks me if I want to show all [HUGE NUMBER HERE] results - which makes me suspect that I am unintentionally creating a cartesian product somewhere. Can someone explain what is wrong with this SQL statement, and what I need to do to fix it?     I have Oracle 10g installed on Windows in C:\oracle. If I stop all Oracle services, is it safe to backup by just copying the entire directory (e.g., to C:\oracle_bak), or am I significantly better off using expdp? Pointers to docs/websites very welcome, I wasn't able to Google up anything relevant.

  • Very simple python functions takes spends long time in function and not subfunctions

    I have spent many hours trying to figure what is going on here. The function 'grad_logp' in the code below is called many times in my program, and cProfile and runsnakerun the visualize the results reveals that the function grad_logp spends about .00004s 'locally' every call not in any functions it calls and the function 'n' spends about .00006s locally every call. Together these two times make up about 30% of program time that I care about. It doesn't seem like this is function overhead as other python functions spend far less time 'locally' and merging 'grad_logp' and 'n' does not make my program faster, but the operations that these two functions do seem rather trivial. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be happening? Have I done something obviously inefficient?     I am basing my game off the lunarlander example. This is the run loop I am using (very similar to what is used in lunarlander). I am getting considerable performance issues associated with my drawing, even if I draw almost nothing. I noticed the below method.   • Simple JPG/HTML Not Showing Up in iPhone

    I'm not familiar with iPhones wants and needs, nor do I have one, but a client wants a screen cap of his site to show up when an iPhone user comes around so I created an .htaccess redirect to an iPhone specific page with this bit of code... RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} iPhone RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/iPhone/ RewriteRule .* /iPhone/ [R] And the html of the iPhone page... <html> <head> <title>Eatamadedia</title> </head> <body style="background-color:#858384;margin:0 auto;"> <img src="../images/iPhonePage.jpg"> </body> </html> The page redirects just fine, but the .jpg doesn't show up. I can't imagine a simpler page. Anyone know what could be preventing the image from displaying? Does the iPhone require headers?     i am looking at someone else's vba excel code. they are doing ReDim Preserve dataMatrix(7, i) in both loops. what does this do? also, it seems like the second loop just overwrites the data in the first, loop, is that correct?     I'm creating a prototype for a java web application. Frontend is a Swing-based java applet. Backend should be a type of web-service, that is called by applet. Backend should run inside a servlet container and should have its own security (username/password) database. I know, that Tomcat has its own user database (realm), but the app should have own. Web-services, in turn, carrying out app logic and database access (via Hibernate). I'm a newbie for a web development and I'm getting lost in a huge amount of the java web frameworks. Even just reading 'introduction' and 'getting started' documents takes a lot of time. So I need an advice which framework(s) are suitable for the task and not very complex for a quick start.   • Simple wrapping of C code with cython

    Hi, I have a number of C functions, and I would like to call them from python. cython seems to be the way to go, but I can't really find an example of how exactly this is done. My C function looks like this: void calculate_daily ( char *db_name, int grid_id, int year, double *dtmp, double *dtmn, double *dtmx, double *dprec, double *ddtr, double *dayl, double *dpet, double *dpar ) ; All I want to do is to specify the first three parameters (a string and two integers), and recover 8 numpy arrays (or python lists. All the double arrays have N elements). My code assumes that the pointers are pointing to an already allocated chunk of memory. Also, the produced C code ought to link to some external libraries.

However this even if the userName is only 3 characters and is not student I'm still hitting Application.Exit.     I've been wondering why the following trivial code produces a segmentation fault when returning from main(): //Produces "Error while dumping state (probably corrupted stack); Segmentation fault" #include <iostream> #include <fstream> #include <vector> using namespace std; class Test { vector<int> numbers; }; int main() { Test a; ifstream infile; cout << "Last statement..." << endl; // this gets executed return 0; } Interestingly, 1) if only one of the two variables is declared, I don't get the error, 2) if I declare a vector variable instead of an object with a vector member, everything's fine, 3) if I declare an ofstream instead of an ifstream, again, everything works fine. Something appears to be wrong with this specific combination... Could this be a compiler bug? I use gcc version 3.4.4 with cygwin. Thanks for the tips in advance. Gábor

    This thing is really wracking my mind. I'm learning C++ and I wanted to define a constant that I can use in another function, A short answer on how to do this will be fine.. Lets say at the beginning of my code I want to define this constant: //After #includes bool OS = 1; //1 = linux if (OS) { const ??? = "clear"; } else { const ??? = "cls"; } I don't know what type to use to define the "clear" string... I'm so confused. Later on I want to use it within a function: int foo() { system(::cls); //:: for global return 0; } How would I define the string up top, and use the string down below? I heard char only had one character and things... I'm not sure how to use , since it says it's converting string into const char or something.
