    I'm working on some advanced browser detection, and I've downloaded the MDBF browser file from CodePlex. Unfortunately my Request.Browser.Platform, along with a few other things is returning "Unknown" on both my iPad Mac OSX (Snow Leopard) and on Windows7 Does anyone know of a good advanced .browser file out there that does the same thing for non mobile devices as the MDBF does for mobile devices?

  • Invalid nonce in twitter request

    Ive been battling with the oAuth flow for a while with my twitter app. I finally got my access token granted, and now i cant call the twitter update url without getting an 'invalid nonce' error, yet im building and signing the URL in the exact same way as when calling the request and access token methods. Has anyone else had this problem, and do you know how to solve it??

  • Python module being reloaded for each request with django and mod_wsgi

    I have a variable in init of a module which get loaded from the database and takes about 15 seconds. For django development server everything is working fine but looks like with apache2 and mod_wsgi the module is loaded with every request (taking 15 seconds). Any idea about this behavior? Update: I have enabled daemon mode in mod wsgi, looks like its not reloading the modules now! needs more testing and I will update.

  • MooTools request fails

    Hi everyone, I am trying to achieve this task using MooTools. Description: I have three buttons. Two buttons outside myDiv and one button inside myDiv. A click on any of these buttons initiates an AJAX request (passing button variable to "button.php") and updates myDiv content based on the response text. So, after update, myDiv shows Button3 link + a message showing which button has been clicked. The problem: Everything seems to work fine but after several clicks, it happens that myDiv shows loader.gif image and stops. After this, if I wait a few moments, the browser sometimes stops working (gets blocked). I noticed this problem with IE6.   • Object oriented n-tier design. Am I abstracting too much? Or not enough?

    Hi guys, I'm building my first enterprise grade solution (at least I'm attempting to make it enterprise grade). I'm trying to follow best practice design patterns but am starting to worry that I might be going too far with abstraction. I'm trying to build my asp.net webforms (in C#) app as an n-tier application. I've created a Data Access Layer using an XSD strongly-typed dataset that interfaces with a SQL server backend. I access the DAL through some Business Layer Objects that I've created on a 1:1 basis to the datatables in the dataset (eg, a UsersBLL class for the Users datatable in the dataset). I'm doing checks inside the BLL to make sure that data passed to DAL is following the business rules of the application. That's all well and good. Where I'm getting stuck though is the point at which I connect the BLL to the presentation layer. For example, my UsersBLL class deals mostly with whole datatables, as it's interfacing with the DAL. Should I now create a separate "User" (Singular) class that maps out the properties of a single user, rather than multiple users? This way I don't have to do any searching through datatables in the presentation layer, as I could use the properties created in the User class. Or would it be better to somehow try to handle this inside the UsersBLL? Sorry if this sounds a little complicated...   • odd response after INVITE request, SIP

    After sending an invite request i receive a trying answer, and immidietly after that i receive error 407 proxy authentication required. After sending ack & another invite with the proxy header i receive session progress about 1/4 of the time!! other times it just sends 407 error again & again. Any ideas?
