  I have a string which may contain cell address, which is look like: A1, B34, Z728 - only capital letters and AA3, ABA92, ZABC83 - there may be several letters before Integer number. The typical source string is look like: =3+7*A1-B3*AB28 I need to get collection of all cells in the string: A1, B3, AB28 I tried to use Regex.Matches method with the following regular expression: @"[A..Z]+?[1..9]+?", but it doesn't work. Can anybody help me to write the regular expression?

• How to save webpage to string with cookies support (httpWebRequest)

  I need to read webpage and store its content in string for further processing. Sounds simply but I have problem with cookies support. Opened page says I need browser supporting cookies (or turned on). I've made method trying do that via httpWebRequest - which normally works to me but I've come to a standstill with those unfortunate cookies... Any idea how to make it working? • Can't define static abstract string property

  I've run into an interesting problem and am looking for some suggestions on how best to handle this... I have an abstract class that contains a static method that accepts a static string that I would like to define as an abstract property. Problem is that C# doesn't doesn't support the following (see the ConfigurationSectionName and Current properties): public abstract class ProviderConfiguration : ConfigurationSection { private const string _defaultProviderPropertyName = "defaultProvider"; private const string _providersPropertyName = "providers"; protected static string ConfigurationSectionName { get; } public static Configuration Current { get { return Configuration)ConfigurationManager.GetSection(ConfigurationSectionName); } } } I suppose one way to handle this would be to make ConfigurationSectionName NOT abstract and then create a new definition of ConfigurationSectionName in the derived classes, but that feels pretty hackish.   Hi There, I am trying to build a system that allows a user to select an image from their own computer, and crop it using the jCrop tool from jQuery. My question is can I show the image the user has selected from their system without uploading it to a system, I dont really want to do two uploads, unless I can do the first upload silently? Is there a platform-agnostic way to have in compile-time the correct value for max_int after the call to reverse_int_setup(); Otherwise, is there an algorithm you consider better/leaner than the one I have for reverse_int()?   I have avoided working with fetchxml as I have been unsure the best way to handle the result data after calling crmService.Fetch(fetchXml). Applications such as passing these records into an ASP.NET datagrid would be quite useful.

I have 4k rep on stackoverflow" It would create the following combinations: "My username" "My Username is" "username is click" "is click" "is click upvote" "click upvote" "i have" "i have 4k" "have 4k" .. You get the idea. Basically the point is to get all possible combinations of 'phrases' out of a sentence. Any thoughts for how to best implement this?

  I have a simple function that takes a bitmap, and converts the bitmap to an ICON format. Below is the function. (I placed literal values in place of the variables) Bitmap tempBmp = new Bitmap(@"C:\temp\mypicture.jpeg"); Bitmap bmp = new Bitmap(tempBmp, 16, 16); bmp.Save("@C:\temp\mypicture2.ico", ImageFormat.Icon) It doesn't seem to be converting correctly...or so I think. After the image is converted, some browsers do not reconigze the image as a true "ICON" , and even Visual Studio 2008 doesn't reconigze the image as an icon after its converted to an Icon format. For example, I was going to set the Icon property for my Win32 form app with the Icon i just converted. I open the dialouge box and select the icon I just converted and get the following error. -- "Argument 'picture' must be a picture that can be used as a Icon." I've browsed the web and come across complicated code where people take the time to manually convert the bitmap to different formats, but I would think the above code should work, and that the .NET framework would take care of this conversion.

  Hello, Problem: I want to list n number of games from each genre (order not important) The following MySQL query resides inside a ColdFusion function. It is meant to list all games under a platform (for example, list all PS3 games; list all Xbox 360 games; etc...). The variable for PlatformID is passed through the URL. I have 9 genres, and I would like to list 10 games from each genre. SELECT games.GameID AS GameID, games.GameReleaseDate AS rDate, titles.TitleName AS tName, titles.TitleShortDescription AS sDesc, genres.GenreName AS gName, platforms.PlatformID, platforms.PlatformName AS pName, platforms.PlatformAbbreviation AS pAbbr FROM (((games join titles on((games.TitleID = titles.TitleID))) join genres on((genres.GenreID = games.GenreID))) join platforms on((platforms.PlatformID = games.PlatformID))) WHERE (games.PlatformID = '#ARGUMENTS.PlatformID#') ORDER BY GenreName ASC, GameReleaseDate DESC Once the query results come back I group them in ColdFusion as follows: <cfoutput query="ListGames" group="gName"> (first loop which lists genres) #ListGames.gName# <cfoutput> (nested loop which lists games) #ListGames.tName# </cfoutput> </cfoutput> The problem is that I only want 10 games from each genre to be listed. If I place a "limit" of 50 in the SQL, I will get ~ 50 games of the same genre (depending on how much games of that genre there are). The second issue is I don't want the overload of querying the database for all games when each person will only look at a few. What is the correct way to do this? Many thanks!

I don't want an algorithm to change pixel by pixel the quality, so it is still a full-quality. • Call webservice from Android using KSoap simply returning "error" string

  I'm trying to use ksoap to call a simple webservice. I followed this video to try to get started. When I call "getResponse()" on the envelope I just get the string "Error". There's no exceptions thrown or any other detail. I've successfully connected to a simple webservice I just setup on my local machine. Could this potentially be related to being behind a proxy server here at work?   I'm developing some RESTful services in WCF 4.0. I've got a method as below: [OperationContract] [WebGet(UriTemplate = "Test?format=XML&records={records}", ResponseFormat=WebMessageFormat.Xml)] public string TestXml(string records) { return "Hello XML"; } So if i navigate my browser to http://localhost:8000/Service/Test?format=XML&records=10, then everything works as exepcted. HOWEVER, i want to be able to navigate to http://localhost:8000/Service/Test?format=XML and leave off the "&records=10" portion of the URL. But now, I get a service error since the URI doesn't match the expected URI template. So how do I implement defaults for some of my query string parameters? I want to default the "records" to 10 for instance if that part is left off the query string.

  How can one add two long values (call them x and y) in Java so that if the result overflows then it is clamped to the range Long.MIN_VALUE..Long.MAX_VALUE? For adding ints one can perform the arithmetic in long precision and cast the result back to an int, e.g.: int saturatedAdd(int x, int y) { long sum = (long) x + (long) y; long clampedSum = Math.max((long) Integer.MIN_VALUE, Math.min(sum, (long) Integer.MAX_VALUE)); return (int) clampedSum; } or import com.google.common.primitives.Ints; int saturatedAdd(int x, int y) { long sum = (long) x + (long) y; return Ints.saturatedCast(sum); } but in the case of long there is no larger primitive type that can hold the intermediate (unclamped) sum. It can be implemented using BigInteger, e.g. static final BigInteger bigMin = BigInteger.valueOf(Long.MIN_VALUE); static final BigInteger bigMax = BigInteger.valueOf(Long.MAX_VALUE); long saturatedAdd(long x, long y) { BigInteger sum = BigInteger.valueOf(x).add(BigInteger.valueOf(y)); return bigMin.max(sum).min(bigMax).longValue(); } however performance is important so this method is not ideal (though useful for testing.) I don't know whether avoiding branching can significantly affect performance in Java. I assume it can, but I would like to benchmark methods both with and without branching. • How do uppercase and lowercase letters differ by only one bit?

  I have found one example in Data and Communication Networking book written by Behrouza Forouzan regarding upper- and lowercase letters which differ by only one bit in the 7 bit code. For example, character A is 1000001 (0x41) and character a is 1100001 (0x61).The difference is in bit 6, which is 0 in uppercase letters and 1 in lowercase letters. If we know the code for one case, we can easily find the code for the other by adding or subtracting 32 in decimal, or we can just flip the sixth bit. What does all this mean? I have found myself very confused with all these things. Could someone provide examples of how these things really work out?

  Is there any better way to get take a string such as "(123) 455-2344" and get "1234552344" from it than doing this: var matches = Regex.Matches(input, @"[0-9]+", RegexOptions.Compiled); return String.Join(string.Empty, matches.Cast<Match>() .Select(x => x.Value).ToArray()); Perhaps a regex pattern that can do it in a single match? I couldn't seem to create one to achieve that though.

  I want to be able to read the cookies from Apache's HTTP_COOKIE string and then add includes based on the contents of that string. I've got this far: <!--#set var="cookies" value="HTTP_COOKIE" --> <p>COOKIES: <!--#echo var="$cookies"--></p> which gives me a string with all the cookies in it. Now I want to be able to parse the string for something like Name=Bob. I thought I'd be able to do this: <!--#if expr="$cookies = /Name=([a-zA-Z]+)/"--> <p>Your name is <!--#echo var="$1"--></p> <!--#endif--> But it doesn't seem to work. What should I be doing -- or isn't this possible?
