  • Retrieving specific tuples using Mysql

    Hi, I have some problems retrieving specific tuples. I am actually a student trying to build a Room management system. I have two tables: Room(roomID,hotelname,rate) and Reservation(resID,arriveDate,departDate,roomID). I am not sure how to retrieve the rooms that are available between 2 specific dates. This was the query that i used. SELECT Room.roomID,hotelname,rate FROM Room LEFT JOIN Reservation on ( Room.roomID=Reservation.resID and arriveDate >='2010-02-16' and departDate <='2010-02-20' ) GROUP BY roomID,hotelname,rate HAVING count(*)=0;' but it returns an empty set. Can any1 be kind enough to tell me what mistake i am doing??

    Hi, Once i had kept a supervisor password to my windows boot screen, but now i forgot that password, Now i am unable to access the boot menu since its asking the password, all menu options are disabled. Is it possible to remove that password and can i get the boot menu default settings back? I had tried to change the jumper settings too, but the problem hasn't been solved.     Hi, I am working for a project on disaster management sponsered by World Bank, under this project i have assigned work on CMS. and my senior has asked me to make a ASP.NET webpage where those logged with administrator privilege will be able to edit the page. like:- <div id="mydiv"><pre>+++++++MY CONTENT+++++++++++++++++++</pre></div> now if if the admin clicks on mydiv he should be able to edit the pre contents. for this i got many options such as WYSIWYG editors (but they work on textboxs only and further more they cant save the data back to server replacing the previous content) then I came to know about Webparts , but its editing capabilities was so low that my plan for implementing a WYSIWYG editor went in vain. so I m seeking help from u all is their any way to achieve the motive, it would be better if u can suggest something like incorporating WYSIWYG into webpartmanager editor...     Hi guys, I need to make some changes to a SQL Server 2008 database. This requires the creation of a new table, and inserting a foreign key in the new table that references the Primary key of an already existing table. So I want to set up a relationship between my new tblTwo, which references the primary key of tblOne. However when I tried to do this (through SQL Server Management Studio) I got the following error: The columns in table 'tblOne' do not match an existing primary key or UNIQUE constraint I'm not really sure what this means, and I was wondering if there was any way around it?

My network is secured like this: Does that mean that they've used password cracking tools? The pass is not easy to guess but not hard to figure out via brute-force hacking, I guess. If I am being hacked, should I switch to WPA?

  • What is the standard way of using a sitemap with pages that require specific information passed to t

    Hi, I have a website for which many pages rely on information passed to them (usually in the form of a querystring) or on a session variable. When making a web application, how do you normally handle these particular pages in regards to the sitemap? If you're using the standard ASP.NET menu control, it will render the node on the menu and if you click it, you could get an exception stating that a session variable doesn't exist (if it hasn't been created yet). For example, if you're making a user management area: All of these nodes get rendered, but I don't want the user to click on edit user or delete user without specifying someone to edit or delete. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My header file declares: IBOutlet UITabBarController *tabBarController; @property (nonatomic, retain) UITabBarController *tabBarController; In my init() code I was doing something like the following: self.tabBarController = [[UITabBarController alloc] init]; [tabBarController release]; NSLog(@"Retain count of tbc: %d",[tabBarController retainCount]); to get the retain count back to one.   • References/walkthroughs for maintaining database schemas with Visual Studio 2010?

    I have Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 and SQL Server 2008 installed. I'm working with a populated database and want to modify various column types. SQL Server Management Studio requires me to drop tables to do this, and get pretty finicky given my moderate level of knowledge of SQL Server. However, I heard the new database project type supports changing the database schema to the desired format and it will handle creating and running all the scripts to implement the changes. I've created a VS2010 database project using the existing database as the source, but so far haven't had much luck figuring out the appropriate method to make the changes without getting an error. As a result, I'm looking for any reference info I can find on using VS2010's capabilities in this area. Any suggestions?

    My admin share C$ has been removed causing our server managed security - Sophos Endpoint Security and Control, to stop updating this client because it is unable to create local tasks. I've searched for two days now, lots of stuff about disabling C$ or allowing network access via a regedit - but nothing about restoring a missing "default admin share C$". OK I can recreate C$ from the mmc but it's removed on a reboot. System is Win7 Pro 64-bit on a domain Very grateful for any help... Nick

  • Using 50+ 3rd party web services, should I use BizTalk or just C#?

    I'm building a back-end application that needs to fetch data on various schedules from over 50+ 3rd party web services and that number will continue to grow. The data from these services can currently be grouped into 3 types so each response needs to be mapped to 1 of 3 known schemas. Writing custom c# to hit each web service appears to be a management nightmare never mind having all that data mapping in code. The current thinking is build this on top of BizTalk 2009, still a lot of maintenance but at least a well defined platform with mapping/transformation capabilities already. I'm looking for any advise from anyone who might have done this before, does this really buy us anything? I am aware of a lack of polling features in BTS however there are enough work arounds to feel comfortable about the solution. Thanks!

  • URL not responding on OS X, fine on other machine

    For some reason I can't access anything on python.org. nslookup resolves the IP address, but no browser or curl command will fetch anything. It works fine on a VMWare Ubuntu virtual machine and on a Windows machine on the same network. I've checked there's nothing funny in /etc/hosts I don't know where else to go looking for issues, can anyone suggest anything? Running OS X 10.5 Leopard

    I'm trying to secure my home network but don't really need the complexity of a VPN so I'm trying to figure out other options. I'd like to allow my iPhone remote access to my home servers but I can't depend on the IP address because it changes quite often (due to the 3G network, etc). Can I filter incoming connections on my router (pfsense) by MAC address or does NAT change the source as it's passing through the different routers on the internet?

I plan to clear all sessions on logout and hence am using the following code: if($this->sessionExists()) { $this->destroy(); } But it seems like it's not doing a good job.. I am getting an error: PHP Warning: session_destroy() [<a href='function.session-destroy'> function.session-destroy</a>]: Trying to destroy uninitialized session How can I get rid of this error? Is there anyway by which i can check the transfered data over a particular interval. I am not supposed to install any applications on any other computers than mine. I have the router access.
