• Unable to install Xdebug

  I've registered xdebug in php.ini (as per http://xdebug.org/docs/install) but it's not showing up when i run "php -m" or when i get a test page to run "phpinfo()". I've just installed the latest version of XAMPP. Can anyone provide any suggestions in getting xdebug to show up? • JBoss Seam: In ScopeType.PAGE I get: java.lang.IllegalStateException: No conversation context active

  Hi all, I have a page-scoped component, which has an instance variable List with data, which I display in a datatable. This datatable has pagination, sorting and filtering. The first time gate into the page, I get this appended in my URL: ?conversationId=97. The page works correctly, and when I change datatable pages no now component is created. After a minute or two, and at seamingly random time, I get an exception saying that there is no context. I have not used @Create in my code or my navigation files. So, I have two questions: Why do I get this suffix in my URL? Why did a conversation start? Why the exception? The component is scoped to PAGE. If I received an exception, it should not be related to a conversation. Right? Or is the conversation the exception is referring a temporary conversation? Cheers! • Blank Mail from PHP application

  Problem: Blank email from PHP web application. Confirmed: App works in Linux, has various problems in Windows server environment. Blank emails are the last remaining problem. PHP Version 5.2.6 on the server I'm a librarian implementing a PHP based web application to help students complete their assignments.I have installed this application before on a Linux based free web host and had no problems. Email is controlled by two files, email_functions.php and email.php. While email can be sent, all that is sent is a blank email. My IT department is an ASP only shop, so I can get little to no help there. I also cannot install additional libraries like PHPmail or Swiftmailer. • Merging multiple Google calendar feeds into one JSON object in javascript

  I am trying to bring in the JSON feeds from multiple Google calendars so that I can sort the upcoming events and display the next X number in an "Upcoming Events" list. I have this working with Yahoo! pipes but I want to get away from using a 3rd party to aggregate. I think I am close, but I cannot get the JSON objects created correctly. I am getting the data into the array but not in JSON format, so I can't manipulate it. I have tried var myJsonString = JSON.stringify(JSONData); using https://github.com/douglascrockford/JSON-js but that just threw errors. I suspect because my variable is in the wrong starting format. I have tried just calling the feed like: $.getJSON(url); and creating a function concant1() to do the JSONData=JSONData.concat(data);, but it doesn't fire and I think it would produce the same end result anyway. I have also tried several other methods of getting the end result I want with varying degrees of doom.   Hello I am not a PHP programmer so I have no idea what the problem is here. Even if I try to reload the store from the renderer (combo.store.load();), I still have the alert (0)! But when I select the combo to change the value, I can see the data and when I change the value, I can see the displayFiel! I don't understand what's the problem? Evrything is working fine but, only issue is coming when we are trying to apply custom formatter to column. This issue comes only when we are dynamically assign "colModel" to jqgrid.   [Disclaimer: I'm ASP.NET MVC Developer] Hi, I'm looking for some best practices with implementing MVVM pattern with WCF RIA in Silverlight 4. I'm not looking to use MEF of IoC for locating my ViewModels. What I would like to know is how to apply MVVM pattern with Silverlight 4 and WCF RIA. I don't want to use other stuff like Prism or MVVM Light toolkit. I found many examples on Internet showing how it is wonderful to drag and drop a datasource on the view and the job is done (it reminds me about my first VB6 developments). I tried to implement MVVM with WCF RIA and it's not strightforward at all. If I understand, the MVVM should contain all the logic in order to unit test it in isolation but when it comes to combine it with WCF RIA it's another story. I have the following questions. Can I use a generated metadata as model ? It would be easier to use it that if I write all from the scratch. As I saw the only way I could get data is through DomainContext or through direct binding in the view (local ressource). I don't want the direct binding in the view, not testable at all. On the other hand I can't use DomainContext, it doesn't expose any single entity !!! All I have is the EntitySet that I can bind to datagrid. How do I bind a single Entity to the DataForm from the ViewModel ? How do I udpate the model to the database ? How do I navigate from one Entity to a collection of it's itemps. For example if I have a Company Entity I would like to show a DataFrom to update a entite informations and a datagrid to show companies adresses. When saving a form would like to save information to Company and for example an information avout which adress was selected as active. Please help me understand how to do it well. Or maybe I should drop the WCF RIA and to do it with WCF from scratch ? What do you think ?

  Hi. I am currently integrating a payment gateway into an application. Following a successful transaction the remote payment gateway posts details of the transaction back to my application (ITN). It posts to a HttpHandler that is used to read and validate the data. Part of the validation performed is a POST made by the handler to a validation service provided by the payment gateway. This effectively posts some of the original form values received back to the payment gateway to ensure they are valid. • Spring Security - Interactive login attempt was unsuccessful

  I've been trying to track down why Spring Security isn't creating the SPRING_SECURITY_REMEMBER_ME_COOKIE so I turned on logging for org.springframework.security.web.authentication.rememberme. At first glance, the logs make it seem like the login is failing but the login is actually successful in the sense that if I navigate to a page that requires authentication I am not redirected back to the login page. However, the logs appear to be saying the login credentials are invalid. Any ideas as to what is going on?   This is driving me crazy :-) I'm trying to get a ASP.NET 3.5 GridView to show a selected value as string when being displayed, and to show a DropDownList to allow me to pick a value from a given list of options when being edited. Seems simple enough?   I'm attempting to determine whether a user is a member of a given group using System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagment. I'm doing this inside a SharePoint WebPart in SharePoint 2007 on a 64-bit system. Project targets .NET 3.5 Impersonation is enabled in the web.config. The IIS Site in question is using an IIS App Pool with a domain user configured as the identity. I am able to instantiate a PrincipalContext as such: PrincipalContext pc = new PrincipalContext(ContextType.Domain) Next, I try to grab a principal: using (PrincipalContext pc = new PrincipalContext(ContextType.Domain)) { GroupPrincipal group = GroupPrincipal.FindByIdentity(pc, "MYDOMAIN\somegroup"); // snip: exception thrown by line above. } Both the above and UserPrincipal.FindByIdentity with a user SAM throw a DirectoryServicesCOMException: "Logon failure: Unknown user name or bad password" I've tried passing in a complete SAMAccountName to either FindByIdentity (in the form of MYDOMAIN\username) or just the username with no change in behavior. I've tried executing the code with other credentials using both the HostingEnvironment.Impersonate and SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges approaches and also experience the same result. I've also tried instantiating my context with the domain name in place: Principal Context pc = new PrincipalContext(ContextType.Domain, "MYDOMAIN"); This throws a PrincipalServerDownException: "The server could not be contacted." I'm working on a reasonably hardened server. I did not lock the system down so I am unsure exactly what has been done to it. If there are credentials I need to allocate to my pool identity's user or in the domain security policy in order for these to work, I can configure the domain accordingly. Are there any settings that would be preventing my code from running? Am I missing something in the code itself? Is this just not possible in a SharePoint web? EDIT: Given further testing, my code functions correctly when tested in a Console application targeting .NET 4.0. • ASP.NET MVC Html.ValidationSummary(true) does not display model errors

  I have some problem with Html.ValidationSummary. I don't want to display property errors in ValidationSummary. And when I set Html.ValidationSummary(true) it does not display error messages from ModelState. When there is some Exception in controller action on string MembersManager.RegisterMember(member); catch section adds an error to the ModelState: ModelState.AddModelError("error", ex.Message); But ValidationSummary does not display this error message. When I set Html.ValidationSummary(false) all messages are displaying, but I don't want to display property errors. How can I fix this problem? • Apache, Nginx, WSGI, django cookies get lost.

  I'm running into a problem trying to get a Django application running in my staging environment. I'm running nginx as a reverse proxy with Apache 2.2/mod_wsgi as the target, and my Django app behind that. The problem is that the cookies are getting lost somewhere between nginx and Apache. My nginx.conf (ripped out a few locations to keep it small): http { gzip on; proxy_set_header Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_pass_header Set-Cookie; upstream django { server 127.0.0.1:8080; } server { listen 80; server_name encendio.iigins.com; location / { proxy_pass http://django; } } } My Apache vhosts file: <VirtualHost *:8080> ServerName encendio.test.com ServerAdmin [email protected] DocumentRoot "/usr/local/www/apache22/data" WSGIScriptAlias / /usr/local/www/apache22/data/sasquatch/wsgi_handler.py </VirtualHost> If I directly to http://encendio.test.com:8080/ the cookies work and I can log into the admin area. If I log into http://encendio.test.com/, the admin area tells me my browser isn't using cookies. Now things get kind of weird. So Apache is getting the cookie in some form, but it's not ending up where Django can see it. I'm at my wit's end for why this isn't working, so any help is greatly appreciated. Ninja Edit: I forgot to mention that Firefox is seeing the cookies. The oddity is that every time I attempt to log in, I get a new sessionid.

  Hi, We're having a hard time figuring how these credentials objects work. In fact, they may not work how we expected them to work. Here's an explanation of the current issue. We got 2 servers that needs to talk with each other through webservices. The first one (let's call it Server01) has a Windows Service running as the NetworkService account. The other one (Server02) has ReportingServices running with IIS 6.0. The Windows Service on Server01 is trying to use the Server02's ReportingServices' WebService to generate reports and send them by email. So, here's what we tried so far. Setting the credentials at runtime (This works perfectly fine): rs.Credentials = new NetworkCredentials("user", "pass", "domain"); Now, if we could use a generic user all would be fine, however... we are not allowed to. So, we are trying to use the DefaultCredetials or DefaultNetworkCredentials and pass it to the RS Webservice: `rs.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultNetworkCredentials OR `rs.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials Either way won't work. We're always getting 401 Unauthrorized from IIS. Now, what we know is that if we want to give access to a resource logged as NetworkService, we need to grant it to "DOMAIN\MachineName$" (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms998320.aspx): Granting Access to a Remote SQL Server If you are accessing a database on another server in the same domain (or in a trusted domain), the Network Service account's network credentials are used to authenticate to the database. The Network Service account's credentials are of the form DomainName\AspNetServer$, where DomainName is the domain of the ASP.NET server and AspNetServer is your Web server name. For example, if your ASP.NET application runs on a server named SVR1 in the domain CONTOSO, the SQL Server sees a database access request from CONTOSO\SVR1$. We assumed that granting access the same way with IIS would work. However, it does not. Or at least, something is not set properly for it to authenticate correctly. So, here are some questions: We've read about "Impersonating Users" somewhere, do we need to set this somewhere in the Windows Service ? In another script (service_controller.py) I start a number of threads, each of which starts a subprocess using subprocess.Popen(stdout=subprocess.PIPE, ...); Now, in my main thread (service_controller.py) I want to read the output of each thread's worker.py subprocess and use it to calculate an estimate for the time remaining till completion. I have all of the logic working that reads the stdout from worker.py and determines the last printed number. The problem is that I can not figure out how to do this in a non-blocking way. If I read a constant bufsize then each read will end up waiting for the same data from each of the workers. I have tried numerous ways including using fcntl, select + os.read, etc. What is my best option here? I can post my source if needed, but I figured the explanation describes the problem well enough. • Using depends with the jQuery Validation plugin

  I've got a form with a bunch of textboxes that are disabled by default, then enabled by use of a checkbox next to each one. When enabled, the values in these textboxes are required to be a valid number, but when disabled they don't need a value (obviously). I'm using the jQuery Validation plugin to do this validation, but it doesn't seem to be doing what I expect. When I click the checkbox and disable the textbox, I still get the invalid field error despite the depends clause I've added to the rules (see code below). Oddly, what actually happens is that the error message shows for a split second then goes away.   I have a complex type composed of two nullable DateTimes: public class Period { public DateTime? Start { get; set; } public DateTime? [HttpPost] public ActionResult ReportByRange(ReportViewModel viewModel) { Period reportPeriod = viewModel.ReportPeriod; // this is null } I expected MVC would try to set the string from the textbox to that property and it would automatically generate a Period (as in my FormCollection example), but it's not. How do I tell the textbox I've generated in the custom editor to poplate that property on the model?

• How to override C# DateTime serialization with class auto-generated from wsdl?

  I have a WSDL that the consumer of my web service expects will be adhered to strictly. I converted it into an interface with wsdl.exe and had my web service implement it. Except for this problem, I have been generally pleased with the results. A simple GetCurrentTime method will have the following response class generated from the WSDL in the interface definition: [System.CodeDobmCompiler.GeneratedCodeAttribute("wsdl", "2.0.50727.3038")] [System.SerializableAttribute()] [System.Diagnostics.DebuggerStepThroughAttribute()] [System.ComponentModel.DesignerCategoryAttribute("code")] [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlTypeAttribute(Namespace="[Client Namespace]")] public partial class GetCurrentTimeResponse { private System.DateTime timeStampField; [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(Form=System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaForm.Unqualified] public System.DateTime TimeStamp{ // [accesses timeStampField] } } When I put the response data into the automatically generated response class, it gets serialized into an appropriate XML response. (Most of the web methods have much more complicated return types with multiple levels of arrays.) The problem is that the default serialization of DateTime objects violates one of the requirements in the WSDL: ... <xsd:simpleType name="SearchTimeStamp"> <xsd:restriction base="xsd:dateTime"> <xsd:pattern value="[0-9]{4}-[0-9]{2}-[0-9]{2}T[0-9]{2}:[0-9]{2}:[0-9]{2}(.[0-9]{1,7})?Z"> </xsd:restriction> </xsd:simpleType> ... Note the last part of the pattern where subseconds must be either 1 or 7 characters if they are included. The client seems to be rejecting the response because it does not match that requirement. The main issue is that when .NET serializes a DateTime object, it omits all trailing zeroes, meaning the resulting subsecond value varies in length. (e.g., "12:34:56.700" gets serialized as "<TimeStamp>12:34:56:7</TimeStamp>" by default). We use millisecond precision, so I need all timestamps to format with 7 subsecond digits in order to be compliant with the WSDL. It would be easy if I could specify a format string, but I'm not sure how to control the string that the DateTime object uses to serialize to XML, or to otherwise override the serialization behavior. How do I do this? Keeping in mind the following... I would like to modify the generated code as little as possible... preferably not at all if the change can be made through a partial class or inherited class. Using an inherited class for the return type of the web method will cause the web service to no longer implement the auto-generated interface. The TimeStamp type occurs in other, more complex response types. So, manually overriding the entire serialization process may be prohibitively time-consuming.
