    When you add a service reference it creates the class "MyServiceClient" with a default constructor. If I use new MyServiceClient() I get an error: Could not find default endpoint... If I use new MyServiceClient("endpointName") it works. I would like to specify a default endpoint in app/web.config which will get used when I use the default constructor. I know I can place that default name in *.settings which ends up in app.config, but just wondering if there is any built-in way to do it.

  • Jerky Silverlight 4 animations when running app in OOB

    I was playing with new Silverlight 4 and to my surprise when I run my sample application in OOB all animations become very jerky when I move mouse around during animations, but when I run my app in browser animations are smooth even when moving mouse around. I tried my app on two different computers, turned on GPU acceleration in OOB settings - and got the same jerky result. Is this a know problem with Silverlight?

I know I can run rake doc:app manually, but I really don't feel like adding a manual step to the check-in process, and since we're already using cruisecontrolrb to handle deployment and testing automation, it seems like there should be an easy way to regenerate these files on check-in.     Writing an app that will include the ability to decompress zip and rar files. I think I'm OK on how to handle the .zips but .rars seem a little more trouble. I noticed that rarlabs has source available but it's C++. Is there a way to compile, wrap or otherwise use this code within an iPhone app?     I have a Mac Java app bundle that has problems opening an OpenGL window from a SWT dialog in a single process. It just doesn't work. To solve this problem I would like to open a SWT dialog in one instance of the Java app and then have it launch another instance of itself with a parameter saying "this time open the OpenGL window". The part I don't know how to do is finding out what "itself" is on a Mac. How can I do that?

However, the onClick event handler on the ClickableSpan is never called, it appears that you can not select individual components on the widget just the whole widget.     Hello, I need to open photo library from my iPhone app just like standard iPhone Camera application does. Is it possible? I don't want picking-style interface of UIImagePickerController - it has unnecessary controls like "Use" and "Cancel" buttons and does not have full photo library viewing functionality - zooming and sliding between photos etc. My goal is to navigate user to the photo library for viewing photos (with full functionality of viewing photos) and - when user has finished - return to my app - just like standard Camera application does when you preview last-taken photos.
