  • Refresh a jQuery function

    Is possible refresh a function every x seconds or refresh it on single event? I explain: I have a function that make pagination on my website, inside every div that are "pages" I have some pictures where I have added LightBox. Everything works nice on the first div (page) but when I change the page it doesnt' work anymore. I tried to fix in this way: $('.pagination a').click(function () { initShadow(); }); In this way it work on the pageLoad and on the first page that I change, than it stop again. So I need to fix this issue, everytime I change the "page" I would like it works fine. Is possible to refresh a function every x second or to refresh it everytime I click on the pagination buttons?

  • Selecting contents of Label Control

    Hi All I have what I consider to be a pretty unique problem here, and no idea how to implement. From what I've seen, there is no documentation, tutorials, samples and/or articles on this. I've spent weeks researching, with nothing to show. The problem: I need the user to be able to select the contents of a Label Control at runtime, and edit it. If this can be done by extending the existing Label control, great! Or, if this requires a whole new Label Control to be created, fine. So be it. Using a TextBox is not an option I'm afraid.   • How to create 2 different scripts for 2 browsers (IE+all the rest)

    I'm trying to solve an IE CSS issue by using conditional tags. My jQuery that does the job of tabbed box effect calls an id that is inside the conditional tags. I've given new ids to IE so on IE the jQuery is not working. I tried to duplicate the script with the new id in one of the script but the 2 scripts seems to get in conflict.     I followed these instructions: http://www.visualwin.com/SelfSSL/ When I type https://localhost/ than it works, but when I try to access it remotely (i set up my router to port forward to localhost), for example https://myip the page does not load. Also, I noticed one other thing. When I access localhost locally then I am asked to enter user/pass, but if I access remotely the I get the following warning: Under Construction The site you were trying to reach does not currently have a default page.     I have a code similar to this: $.ajax({ success: function(data) { text = ''; for (var i = 0; i< data.length; i++) { text = text + '<a href="#" id="Data_'+ i +'">' + data[i].Name + "</a><br />"; } $("#SomeId").html(text); for (var i = 0; i< data.length; i++) { $("#Data_"+i).click(function() { alert(data[i]); RunFunction(data[i]); return false; }); } } }); This gets an array of some data in json format, then iterates through this array generating a link for each entry. Now I want to add a function for each link that will run a function that does something with this data. The problem is that the data seems to be unavailable after the ajax success function is called (although I thought that they behave like closures). What is the best way to use the queried json data later on? (I think setting it as a global variable would do the job, but I want to avoid that, mainly because this ajax request might be called multiple times) Thanks.

  • Using same onmouseover function for multiple objects

    I'm creating a building game in JavaScript and PHP that involves a grid. Each square in the grid is a div, with an own onmouseover and onmousedown function: for(x=0; x < width; x++) { for(y=0; y < height; y++) { var div = document.createElement("div"); //... div.onmouseclick = function() {blockClick(x, y)} div.onmouseover = function() {blockMouseover(x, y)} game.appendChild(div); } } But, all of the squares seem to have the x and y of the last square that was added. I can sort of see why this is happening - it is making a pointer to x and y instead of cloning the variables - but how could I fix it? I even tried for(x=0; x < width; x++) { for(y=0; y < height; y++) { var div = document.createElement("div"); var myX = x; var myY = y; div.onmouseclick = function() {blockClick(myX, myY)} div.onmouseover = function() {blockMouseover(myX, myY)} game.appendChild(div); } } with the same result. I was using div.setAttribute("onmouseover", ...) which worked in Firefox, but not IE. Thanks!

  • Lookup Multiple Results for Multiple Criteria

    I've got a list of parent SKUs for items I need to create in my inventory system. This list has been finely paired down to the 165 products we would like to carry. However, each one of these 165 SKUs has between 2 and 8 child SKUs of different colors, sizes, etc. Those are stored on a different worksheet, mixed into around 2500 items. Those are the SKUs I need to input into my inventory system. Here is what it looks like. Sheet 1 is just SKUs: A 1 2 3 4 Sheet 2 is comprised of all the child SKUs, with parent SKUs in column B. Not all parents have the same number of children: A B 1BLKM 1 1BLKL 1 1BLUM 1 2BLKM 2 2BLKL 2 2BLUM 2 2ORAM 2 3BLKM 3 3BLUM 3 I want to look up all of the child SKUs for the Parent SKU list that has been fine tuned. Parent SKU is included as a column on the child SKU worksheet. I need to lookup all matches of the Parent SKU, then continue to move down the parent SKU list until all matches for all 165 parent items have been found. It seems like every function I try can't use an Array for input. Is there a way to do this with Lookup or some combination of index, match, row, etc? Any way at all to do it without VBA? Or maybe even a VBA solution with code that I can understand, as someone who hasn't used VBA before.

    I want to create a function apply that takes a function with an arbitrary amount of arguments as well as a list of integers, and returns the result of the function (Where each integer in the list is an argument in order. I was thinking something like: apply :: ([Int] -> Int) -> [Int] -> Int apply f x:xs = apply (f x) xs apply f [] = f But I know this won't work because the type signature is wrong - the function doesn't take a list of ints, it just takes some amount of int arguments. Additionally, when I get to the base case the f argument to apply should actually be an integer, violating the type signature anyway. Does anyone know how to deal with this sort of problem?

In the Data column there's this xml <data> <RRN>...</RRN> <DateOfBirth>...</DateOfBirth> <Gender>...</Gender> </data> Now, executing this query: SELECT UserId FROM Users WHERE data.value('(/data/RRN)[1]', 'nvarchar(max)') = @RRN after clearing the cache takes (if I execute it a couple of times after each other) 910, 739, 630, 635, ... ms. Now, a db specialist told me that adding a function, a view and changing the query would make it much more faster to search a user with a given RRN. But, instead, these are the results when I execute with the changes from the db specialist: 2584, 2342, 2322, 2383, ... The function is designed to be called by itself (getch), with an optional -s flag (getch -s), or with an optional string argument afterward (so getch master and getch -s master are both valid).   • Create a Stream without having a physical file to create from.

    I'm needing to create a zip file containing documents that exist on the server. I am using the .Net Package class to do so, and to create a new Package (which is the zip file) I have to have either a path to a physical file or a stream. I am trying to not create an actual file that would be the zip file, instead just create a stream that would exist in memory or something. My question is how do you instantiate a new Stream (i.e. FileStream, MemoryStream, etc) without having a physical file to instantiate from.

Is this the best way to do this, or is there some kind of nifty jQuery method that you prefer?
