    I am trying to use maven profiles and filtering in order to produce two different versions of a given web archive (war): A first one for local deployment to my local machine on localhost A second one for remote deployment to cloudfoundry There are a number of properties that differ according to whether the app is deployed to my local machine or to cloudfoundry. Of course the difficult bit is that I am trying to do all this from STS/Eclipse and deploy from Eclipse to my local tomcat and to cloudfoundry... Can anyone please provide advice, tips or suggestions?

  • SQL Server 2008 BIDS without the Database Engine

    Does anyone know how we can install BIDS for SQL Server 2008 without having to install the Database Engine? With the SQL Server 2008 Express install it appears to be mandatory to install the Database Engine when all we would like the end users to have access to is BIDS to develop their RDL's to deploy to an existing SSRS instance? It looks like BIDS 2005 was available as a standalone download - the toolkit - however I cannot find anything similar for 2008.

I tried to upload the war file generated but the application is not coming up on beanstalk. I would like to know if there is any existing documentation to deploy on beanstalk from maven. I have Spring Data JPA,Spring MVC application,do i need to do specific configuration or move configuration files from within the WAR file.

  • Running Java CORBA Client on Unix

    I'm trying to run a Java application I wrote to subscribe to a CORBA event service. It runs OK on my Windows machine, but as soon as I deploy it to the UNIX server, it gives me an org.omg.CORBA.NO_IMPLEMENT exception. Any ideas as to why this might be happening? I'm using JacORB on my Windows machine and passing VM arguments to initialize the client ORB, but I'm not sure how to do that on UNIX and if it's even necessary. Thanks in advance!

I use a ServletContext to load some resources, so I have: @Context private ServletContext servletContext; If I deploy this on Glassfish, the ServletContext is injected and it works like expected. But I don't know how to inject the ServletContext in my service class, so that I can test it with a JUnit test. I use Spring 3.0, JUnit 4, CXF 2.2.3 and Maven.

    How do you precompile WCF code so that the WCF code can't be seen by anyone who has access to the WCF code. it's possible to this with ASP.NET code by using the "precompilation" feature. basically, what the precompilation feature does is enable the developper to deploy "binaries" to IIS instead of a folder containing source code. can this be done with WCF too ?

  • Jboss logging issue - pl check this

    I’m Working as deployer and server administrator. We use Jboss 4.0x AS to deploy our applications. The issue I'm facing is, Whenever we redeploy/restart the server, server.log is getting created but after sometime the logging goes off. Yes it is not at all updating the server.log file. Due to this, we could not trace the other critical issues we have. Actually we have two separate nodes and we do deploy/restarting the server separately on two nodes. We are facing the issue in both of our test and production environment. I could not trace out where exactly the issue is. Could you please help me in resolving the issue? If we have any other issues, we can check the log files. If log itself is not getting updated/logged, how can we move further in analyzing the issues without the recent/updated logs?     Any experiences on how to document Entity Framework 4 based Database projects? There is the Document and Summary properties on the Entities, but if we want to regenerate the model from the database at some point, it will be lost! Is there some way to map documentation data inside SQL to the Entities in the EDMX file so it is safe. Suggestions of other best practices? Ideally I want to be able to augo generate html/helpfile documentation from the DB when we deploy.
