  • How to catch this type of exceptions ?

    I'm starting getting tired of this exception. Can't handle it, even so I'm using this: AppDomain.CurrentDomain.UnhandledException += new UnhandledExceptionEventHandler(CurrentDomain_UnhandledException); Still no success, Can anyone explain me, how I should handle it in a nice way. Or how to detect that it have fired this message and close the application, because I'm starting it automatically everytime it closes.

    hello. I know I can do this y[i] += f(x[i]) using transform with two input iterators. however it seems somewhat counterintuitive and more complicated than for loop. Is there a more natural way to do so using existing algorithm in boost or Stl. I could not find clean equivalent. here is transform (y = y + a*x): using boost::lambda; transform(y.begin(), y.end(), x.begin(), y.begin(), (_1 + scale*_2); // I thought something may exist: transform2(x.begin(), x.end(), y.begin(), (_2 + scale*_1); // it does not, so no biggie.     I'm trying to paginate the results of a "advanced search", I have a complex model that represents the search options; int ZipCode int MinAge int MaxAge Availability bool Monday bool Tuesday ... bool Friday Requirements bool FirstAid bool DriversLicense I'm using; <%: Html.ActionLink("Next »", "Save", "Notification", Model.options)%> Which correctly sends all the data at the first level, but anything that is a sub-object (Availability or requirements) isn't expanded in the URL, all I get is the class name and so I lose most of the search options when I click the link to change to a different page. Any thoughts?

    The sort question, is the an off the self function to make a graph from a set of python sets? The longer: I have several python set types. They each overlap or some are sub sets of others. I would like to make a graph (as in nodes and edges) with the edges weighted by common intersection of the sets. There are several graphing packages for python. (NetworkX, igraph,...) I am not familiar with the use of any of them. Will any of them make a graph directly from a list of sets ie, MakeGraphfromSets(alistofsets) If not do you know of an example of how to take the list of sets to define the edges. It actually looks like it might be straight forward but an example is always good to have.

I wrote a console program in Python for doing marathon pace running calculations and I'm trying to figure out the syntax for this in C# using Visual Studio 2010. In Python I'd just convert variables from a float to a string to get 8 instead of 8.5, for example; hopefully the rest of the code gives you an idea of what I've been doing. Any input would be appreciated.

    I have the following function in C#, that I want to pass a MySQL DataReader value/object. If the value of the object passed is a DBNull I need to handle it and return a Null value of that data type e.g null int. Otherwise I want to convert the returned value like Convert.ToInt32(value) or similar. public static T ConvertFromDB<T>(object value) { return value == DBNull.Value ? default(T) : (T)value; } Can anyone offer any help on this ?

    I've got an application where a shared object needs a reference to a per-request object. Shared: Engine | Per Req: IExtensions() | Request If i try to inject the IExtensions directly into the constructor of Engine, even as Lazy(Of IExtension), I get a "No scope matching [Request] is visible from the scope in which the instance was requested." exception when it tries to instantiate each IExtension. How can I create a HttpRequestScoped instance and then inject it into a shared instance? Would it be considered good practice to set it in the Request's factory (and therefore inject Engine into RequestFactory)?

    Hey guys, I want to implement a class which can be used by two classes of my project. One is manipulating 'NewsRecord' objects. One is manipulating 'GalleriesRecord' objects. In another class, I may use one of the two objects so i do something like that : // header class id myNewsRecordOrGalleriesRecord; // class.m // NewsRecord and GalleriesRecord have both the title property NSLog(myNewsRecordOrGalleriesRecord.title); and i get : error : request for member 'title' in something not a structure or union any ideas :D ? I have a simple MVC application and my view is missing one thing I could really use. I want to select a local file just to retrieve it's filename. I know it's relatively easy to use the form tag helpers for uploading: <%= file_field 'upload', 'datafile' %></p> I wonder how I could get the filename from the selected file, without uploading the file.

  • .NET Conditional Callback on a type.

    I have a stock price which changes by nature all the time. And, there will be many users who wants to buy that stock. Let's say that the stock price is started at 10 and let's say, 30 people bid for 10.98, 20 people bid for 7.45, 100 people bid for 8.99. During the day, the stock price can touch any of these values, and if that happens, I want to execute all the orders for users who quoted that price. Technically, I am storing in a List. Whenever the price changes, I am checking against all the values in the list and executing those that satisfy the quoted price. Class Bids { string stockname; double quote; } Is there any better alternative way to callback the satisfied items in the list rather than checking all the items whenever there is a change?? If storing in a list is not right way of doing it, let me know the best way.

    I have a cron script on a shared web host that occasionally gets killed. I'd like to make a loop in bash that tries again if it gets killed, because most of the time it will make it. I'm having trouble with the syntax for storing a boolean value :P #!/bin/bash VAR=0; while [ $VAR ]; do if nice -19 mysqldump -uuser -ppassword -h database.hostname.com --skip-opt --all --complete-insert --add-drop-table database_name > ~/file/system/path/filename.sql; then VAR=1; fi done So the script recovers from a killed process okay, but once it's run properly, the new VAR value doesn't kill the while loop. What am I doing wrong?

    Reading the C++ Standard, i see that there are "function" types and "pointer to function" types: typedef int func(int); // function typedef int (*pfunc)(int); // pointer to function typedef func* pfunc; // same as above I have never seen the function types used outside of examples (or maybe i didn't recognize their usage?). I may have something like this: List<BaseClass> list = new List<BaseClass>() { new Class1(), new Class2(1), new Class3(), new Class2(2), new Class4() }; I am trying to use LINQ to semi-sort the list so that the natural order is maintained EXCEPT for Class2. All Class2 instances should be grouped together at the place that the first Class2 occurs. Here is what the output should be like: List<BaseClass> list = new List<BaseClass>() { new Class1(), new Class2(1), new Class2(2), new Class3(), new Class4() }; I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this...

  • Desimal data Type Display scale part as zero

    I have Decimal field in SQLserver 2005 table, Price decimal(18, 4) if I write 12 it will be converted to 12.0000, if I write 12.33 it will be converted into 12.3300. Always it's putting zero to the right of the decimal point in the count of Scale Part(4). I was using these in SQL Server 2000, it was not behaving like this, in SQL Server 2000 if I put 12.5 it will be stored as 12.5 not as 12.5000 what SQLServer2005 do. My Question is how to stop SQL Server 2005 from putting zeros to the right of the decimal point?
