  • kerio add-in for outlook disabled after every adobe update

    I'm using outlook 2010 with the kerio toolbar/add-in. Every time I install an update for Adobe (flash player, pdf reader), the kerio add-in gets disabled, which is quite annoying (more so since this is a customer computer and it is hard to get them install updates if these break add-ins they need). Is there a way either to get adobe update not to disable this, or maybe create a script which enables the add-in at user logon?

    I'm using ln -f -s /var/www/html/releases/build1390 app-current to update symbolic link "app-current" with a new destination. However, this doesn't work, the link "app-current" keeps it original destination, however, I don't get any errors... I'd rather not remove the link and recreate it, just update the target of an existing link. Is that possible?

  • Huge excel sheet taking too long to update links or calculate formulae

    I have Excel sheet with 5000 rows and columns till AY (size 12MB). Except for the first 6 columns, rest contain either vlookups or formulae. All the vlookups are in separate Excel sheet. I have changed the Excel setting to manually update the links and calculate formulae. Now everytime I try to update the links, either the Excel sheet hangs or it takes something like 15 minutes. Any ideas on how I can get it done quickly.

    I have a server with WHM/cPanel server a website (Apache, PHP, MySQL) and a few days ago WHM performed some kind of update on itself (there are new icons and new appearance overall). Ever since that day, my site has been running slow for shorts periods of time, but several times a day. That never happend before. Is there some common cause for this? Something that WHM does when it does an update? I'm really clueless about this problem.

  • How do you update an Excel file (Data Refresh and update formulas) WITHOUT opening the file?

    I have an Excel file that want to update and save automatically with out having to open it or manually interact with. Manually, I open the file up and hit data refresh which goes and does a SQL query and then hit F9 for the formulas to update and then I just close/save. (I then would mail the file out to people using a perl script or use SAS JMP to run some numbers/charts and also mail them out. Basically I need to script some things which require the XLS file to be updated.)

    My son has a Compaq Presario computer running on Windows 7 and he has brought it down to me cause it's 'not working'. When I start up the computer I get a HP BIOS update that fails and keeps restarting with the same screens, only to fail every time. I have read some forum posts that suggest taking it back to default settings – how do I do this when I cant get anything on the computer screen except for the update? I'm a complete novice with computers.

Global Security is enabled on the dmgr. I'm having problems getting this to work however. I recently installed Windows 7 and VS 2008 on a new workstation. When I import the package from TFS and open it, I get the error Validation error. Parse and Import Catalog Flat File: MySSISPackage: The file name "\\shared\flatfile.txt" specified in the connection was not valid. When I open the Flat File Connection Manager Editor, there is an error stating: A valid file name must be selected I can browse to and select the file from inside the editor, but I cannot change any properties, or move away from the General tab because of this error. If I go back to my laptop (Windows XP), where the package was first created, there is no error. Both workstations are on the same domain, and I'm logging in using the same credentials. Any ideas as to why I would receive this error from one workstation and not another? UPDATE: If I take the .dtsx package from the running workstation and load it into SSIS on the server, I get the following errors when it tries to run: Error: The file name "\\shared\flatfile.txt" specified in the connection was not valid. and... Error: Connection "MySSISPackage" failed validation. and... Error: The file name property is not valid. The file name is a device or contains invalid characters. UPDATE 2: a) The Shared folder I'm trying to pull the flat file from is a Samba share on a Unix box. b) If I access the file using SSIS on any 64-bit platform (Windows 7 64-bit, Vista 64-bit, Windows Server 2008) I get the error "A valid file name must be selected." c) Accessing the file using SSIS from 32-bit environments (Windows XP 32-bit, Windows Server 2003 32-bit) there is no problem. d) If I move the file to a shared folder on a Windows server, 64-bit SSIS recognizes the file.

  • Task scheduler "hidden" only hides task, not process

    I am trying to make an application that acts like a desktop application for all the computers in our network. I have already got a windows forms app that works like I want it to, and I'm using the task scheduler to start it on login. We would really like it if the process as well as the task is hidden from the task manager in order to avoid accidental deletion. Selecting "Hidden" in the task scheduler hides the task (good!) but the process is still visible (not good enough). I tried using the option to run as "SYSTEM" or "LOCAL SERVICE" so that the user would get "access denied" when trying to delete or just wouldn't even view it by default. However, running as a service makes the process invisible on Vista and 7, and the point of my app is to display information interactively. (User can click, sort, etc). Is there any other alternatives to either run the process as someone/something besides the logged in user and still have the logged on user be able to see and interact with it? (Therefore it would list as someone else's app?) From what I've read on the internet, the only ways to actually hide something from the task manager seem hacky and/or difficult and rather involved. I don't really want to write a bunch of C or whatever only to maybe not have it work on Vista/7 anyway. Besides which, for a legitimate app with a legitimate use, I shouldn't have to go to those extremes... I see "Access Denied" all the time for system processes... why is it so hard for me to do the same? So does anyone have any simple solutions? Is it easier than I think to just list something in the task manager as another user? Thanks in advance for any replies.

  • Label in PyQt4 GUI not updating with every loop of FOR loop

    I'm having a problem, where I wish to run several command line functions from a python program using a GUI. I don't know if my problem is specific to PyQt4 or if it has to do with my bad use of python code. What I wish to do is have a label on my GUI change its text value to inform the user which command is being executed. My problem however, arises when I run several commands using a for loop. I would like the label to update itself with every loop, however, the program is not updating the GUI label with every loop, instead, it only updates itself once the entire loop is completed, and displays only the last command that was executed. I am using PyQt4 for my GUI environment. And I have established that the text variable for the label is indeed being updated with every loop, but, it is not actually showing up visually in the GUI. Is there a way for me to force the label to update itself? I have tried the update() and repaint() methods within the loop, but they don't make any difference. I would really appreciate any help.     hey guys i'm about to begin a football manager inspired facebook application in php/mysql and had a couple of questions: 1) where would be the best place to host the database? any services offered within great britain would be excellent! 2) does anyone have any ideas on how i could use player statistics as part of the in-game match engine? how would php accomodate this? i would like to make the matches as realistic as possible? 3) lastly i wanted to know whether php/mysql would be the best language to code this game in. i am quite confident within this language and can pick up new skills relatively quickly. but i am worried once again (in reference to number 2) about how i would simulate matches using the data from php. i'd appreciate any pointers. thanks for the help guys!

I am getting lost in the authentication options: In IIS 6 Manager, I can go in to the properties of the web site and set authentication options. In the web site's web.config file, under system.web, there is an <authentication mode="Windows"/> tag In the web site's web.config file, under system.serviceModel, I can configure: <wsHttpBinding <binding name="MyBinding" <security mode="Transport" <transport clientCredentialType="Basic"/ </security </binding </wsHttpBinding What is the difference between these three? How should each be configured? Some context: I have a simple web site project that contains a single .svc web service, and I want it to use Basic authentication over SSL. (Also, I want it to not use Windows accounts, but maybe that is another question.)

  • Wpf progressbar not updating during method calculation

    Hey guys, In my app, i have an import option, to read info from a .csv or .txt file and write it to a database. To test, i"m just using 200-300 lines of data. At the beginning of the method, i calculate number of objects/lines to be read. Every time an object is written to the database, i want to update my progressbar.     Hi, I am trying to retrieve file path for a html file that is embedded in resource (resx file) in VS2008 C# project. I want to give path of this file to native webbrowser control (PIEHtml) to be able to navigate (DTM_NAVIGATE) in my application. I know I can pass the string to this control using DTM_ADDTEXTW but since html text size is so big, I dont want to pass string to the control. I need to somehow extract the file path for this html file embedded inside resource manager. I tried using but this does not give the file path of html inside assembly: private ResourceManager resManager = new ResourceManager("AppName.FolderName.FileName", System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly()); this.lbl.Text = resManager.GetString("StringInResources"); and also read Retrieving Resources in Satellite Assemblies but it did not solve my problem.     OK, I'm using the following: TinyMCE, CodeIgniter, and the TinyMCE Ajax File Manager. I can upload correctly and it looks pretty good. However, when I view the HTML (from TinyMCE), this is what I get. <img src="../../../data/page/verde_enfemera.jpg" alt="" /> What I need to be getting is the following: <img src="http://localhost/http/data/page/verde_enfemera.jpg" alt="" /> Can someone help? EDIT: I changed the code in the HTML editor of Tinymce, then I saved it. When I re-opened it, the code was reverted back to the original "../.../../data", etc. please, help, someone.

  • updating changes from one database to another database in the same server

    I have a copy of client database say 'DBCopy' which already contains modified data. The copy of the client database (DBCopy) is attached to the SQL Server where the Central Database (DBCentral) exists. Then I want to update whatever changes already present in DBCopy to DBCentral. Both DBCopy and DBCentral have same schema. How can i do it programatically using C#.NET maybe with a button click. Can you give me an example code as how to do it?. I am using SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition and VS 2008 SP1. In the actual scenario there are about 7 client database all with same schema as the central database. I am bringing copy of each client database and attach it to Central Server where the central database resides and try to update changes present in each copy of the client database to central database one by one programatically using C# .NET . The clients and the central server are physically seperate machines present in different places. They are not interconnected. I need to only update and insert new data. I am not bothered about deletion of data. Thanks and regards Pavan
