• cannot run java app on mac properly

  Hello everybody.. I have small problem..I created a java App in windows and my .jar consist of whole app..i copied this jar file to mac and executed it from there it works fine.. Java App consists of bonjour code if i execute .jar on windows it works fine and bonjour starts advertising...But,for mac the app runs fine but doesnot advertise the bonjourservice.. I am not understanding the difference..can anyone explain me y it is so?

• ASP MVC LINQ to SQL IQueryable Array out of bounds?

  Hey guys, I have an Iqueryable that is populated from the database and then converted to an Array. That works fine. The issue is when I only have 1 element in the Array. I try to use the 0th element and it says "ArrayOutOfBoundsException". When I have 2+ elements in the array and pull elements 0 and 1 it works fine. What gives?

Software built in .NET platform only works when the .NET Framework is installed, and software written in Java only works if the JDK is installed. When I install programs like Firefox, uTorrent, etc., I don't need to have any frameworks (.NET, JDK, etc.) installed. How do I write software that doesn't depend on a framework?

• Why is this JQuery animation jumping in IE8 but working in all other browsers including IE7 and 6?

  This one really has me stumped. For some reason when I animate the x and y scroll property at the same time it jumps in IE 8 but works in all other browsers. I'm hoping someone has run into this before and has a work around. Note: it works fine if I only animate the x or y by them selves. Please view this working example

The web service and the WSDL generation works fine. But there are troubles with the authentication. • runModalForWindow throttles http requests

  I have url connection, which normally works fine NSURLConnection *connection = [[NSURLConnection alloc] initWithRequest:request delegate:delegate]; But when I create a modal window, no request ever receives response: [NSApp runModalForWindow:window]; If I comment this line out, thus creating a 'standard' window, everything works. I tried implementing all methods from NSURLConnectionDelegate, not a single of them called. I suspect this is something about 'run loops', but have little experience in this area. Does anybody have experience in this? Thank you

• Need Help with Page Life Cycle(I think it is screwing me up)

  Hi I have dragged a empty asp.net table onto my webform. I generate all the rows in the code behind those. Now my table gets filled up and has dropdown lists. When the user hits save I go through all the rows and update the values from the dropdownlist in the db. This works all great. However if 2 columns have each have "Present" then those 2 columns should be not be shown anymore and 2 new columns get put in its place with other dropdown lists. This all works. However you have to refresh the entire page to for the 2 columns that should go away to go away. So what I tried to do is at the end of the button click event. Clear the whole table and then regenerate it. However when I do this then my values are not saved to the database anymore for whatever reason. if (IsPostBack == false) { // check if dummy variables exist in db- If true just generate tables with values in db. If not generate them. } else { // grab the values from the database // generate tables with the values } btn click event { go through all rows in table(foreach loop) update each column in the database with cells in each row. while in foreach loop. //done } So this is how it goes and it works expect(all correct values are saved) the table is just not updated to the user. Does not work if (IsPostBack == false) { // same code as above } // if postback is true do nothing. By the time it gets to the click event it says there is zero rows in the table so nothing happens. btn click event { // same code } Fails also. if (IsPostBack == false) { // same code as above } else { // same code as above but moved into its own method. gernerateTable(); } btn click event { // update all rows // once done clear the Tables rows // call generateTable() } This last one does nothing as for some reason it does not update anything. I don't understand why. So what am I doing wrong with this life cycle something in my process is wrong. The code works just not when I want the table to be updated right away.

• Twitter Search API is returning weird characters - is it more or is it them?

  We are building an app that accesses the Twitter search over JSONP. It mostly works fine, but occasionally the request returns a JSONP callback that exists of weird unparseable characters. Here is an example: http://search.twitter.com/search.json?result_type=recent&rpp=100&geocode=51.4375857,-0.1658648,1km&page=5&callback=jsonp1272532482854 (If you change page=5 to a value less than 5 in the URL it works fine) So Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone suggest a workaround?

Is there a way to include other types of expressions (function calls, etc)? • Simple WCF service with REST - Resource cannot be found - error with ASP.NET Debug Server?

  Hi, I'm testing a very simple WCF-Service with REST functionality enabled. It works fine on IIS, but the VS2010 debug webserver always says "The resource cannot be found" when appending the parameter after the .svc file in the browser uri. Is this a known issue with the asp.net debug webserver that it cannot work with REST or am I doing anything wrong? (again: with IIS, it works)

However, I was expecting the Set or Get static methods to be called but they are not. The attached property works as expected and if I call SetXXX and GetXXX methods in code, then it works are expected. Why are the methods not called when set from Xaml? JD.

As for now, I use cron that works every minute and activates a task that repeats itself every 5 seconds with sleeps between, for a minute.   Hi, I have a radio group which is validated for required. It works fine except when in certain cases I need to disabled first radio button leaving user to select one from remaining. Even in this case radios are validated but error message is not displayed. I believe its due to error message's association with first radio. Disabling other radio except first works fine too.   Hi, Since Ajax requests are limited for security reasons, there's not much to it, just follow the rules eh .. but I've crossed with this : https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Same_origin_policy_for_JavaScript It's written that you can "bypass" those rules, in case you're working with subdomains of the same domain, with the following javascript line : document.domain = "company.com"; I haven't tried it yet, since I don't know if this only works (perfectly works) with any other browser, or at least the major ones. This program takes a user name and password to authenticate on the CUPS server. Whatever user name and password I use, it works as long as it is valid on the system.   Hello all, I have a Facebook like button on my page using the XBFML tag. I think the code is working, because it works in Firefox without a problem. But in IE 8 (running in IE 7 compliant mode), the button does not show at all. If I switch it all to the iFrame version of the like button it all works. But when I go with the XBFML tag it does not work. Anyone run into anything like this?

  I'm trying to show one public twitter profile in one WebView of my app, is not necessary to login twitter, in the MotoDev Simulator this works fine, but in the physical device don't work, this: "403 fobiden limite exceed rate" error appears, this is the simple code line that I'm using: webView.loadUrl("https://mobile.twitter.com/#!/asambleaecuador"); and works fine into de MotoDev simulator AVD ....can somebody helpme please!!!
