floating div problem in IE7

I'm trying to use a second background image with a floated div but it doesn't work in IE6 & 7 I'm aware that the floating div's is a pain in * in IE7 and lower versions but I really need to make it work. here is the code I'm using <body style="background-color:#FFFFFF; margin-top:0px; margin-right:0px;" topmargin="0" rightmargin="0" leftmargin="0"> <div id="bg2" style="float:right; top:0px; width:450px; height:151px; margin-right:0px; padding-right:0px; font-size:1px; overflow:visible; background-image:url(images/back2.jpg);"></div> <center> <div style="position:relative; top:0px; width:1050px; margin:0px; padding:0px; vertical-align:top; text-align:left;"> ....(huge div container)... I also tried to remove width attribute from the div which contains 2nd background image, then get the windows size and add the difference to the container div as left attribute with Jquery. It worked fine in all IE versions but this time not on Chrome here is a print screen any ideas please?

Aligning decimal points in HTML

I have a table containing decimal numbers in one column. I'm looking to align them in a manner similar to a word processor's "decimal tab" feature, so that all the points sit on a vertical line. I have two possible solutions at the moment but I'm hoping for something better... Solution 1: Split the numbers within the HTML, e.g. <td><div>1234</div><div class='dp'>.5</div></td> with .dp { width: 3em; } (Yes, this solution doesn't quite work as-is. The concept is, however, valid.) Solution 2: I found mention of <COL ALIGN="CHAR" CHAR="."> This is part of HTML4 according to the reference page, but it doesn't work in FF3.5, Safari 4 or IE7, which are the browsers I have to hand. It also has the problem that you can't pull out the numeric formatting to CSS (although, since it's affecting a whole column, I suppose that's not too surprising). Thus, anyone have a better idea?

Hy guys, I've a problem with IExplorer, Chrome, Safari etc.. Reduce white space between lines of text

I am creating a webpage (first time) and i'm following as much of the CSS rules and tags as I can. However, I ran into a problem with white space. I've underlined the first line of text but now the second line seems to have drifted below. How to customize the printing while using Window.print ?

i want to print a invoice and i use a print.css by media=print and when i change the current stylesheet to print.css i could able to view what i should be printing without the titles and content left aligned. But still while i'm printing there is space in the top and left and its taking up whole a4 sheet and also the whole width of the page.. But i've defined a body width of just 550 px. While i view to print preview, it takes the whole width instead of taking up 1/3 of the width.. Freestanding ARM C++ Code - empty .ctors section

I'm writing C++ code to run in a freestanding environment (basically an ARM board). It's been going well except I've run into a stumbling block - global static constructors. To my understanding the .ctors section contains a list of addresses to each static constructor, and my code simply needs to iterate this list and make calls to each function as it goes. However, I've found that this section in my binary is in fact completely empty! Google pointed towards using ".init_array" instead of ".ctors" (an EABI thing), but that has not changed anything. Any ideas as to why my static constructors don't exist? HTML, CSS: overbar matching square root symbol

Is there a way in HTML and/or CSS to do the following, but then correctly: √¯¯¯¯¯¯φ·(2π−γ) Such that there is an overbar above the expression, which neatly aligns with the √? I know there is the Unicode ¯, that looks like the overbar I need (as used in the above example, though as you can see – it doesn't align well with the root symbol). The solution I'm looking for works at least for one standard font, on most sizes, and all modern browsers. I can't use images; I'd like to have a pure HTML4/CSS way, without client scripting. Why is this unordered list formatting differently in IE7?

I'm better about getting things to look good in IE8, FF, and Safari, but IE7 still throws curve balls at me... Drop Down not even showing up in IE6

I'm having an issue on a HTML email in Word rendered Outlooks (2007, 2010, 2013) where I click an image link, and when the mouse is clicked, the image inverts... Here is the code below... <td align="left" width="360" valign="top" style="mso-table-lspace: 0pt; mso-table-rspace: 0pt; border-collapse: collapse;" class="hide"> <a href="#" target="_blank"> <img src="test.jpg" width="360" height="528" alt="alt tag" style="display:block;" class="img_mob centertable" border="0" align="left"> </a> </td> Here is a comparison on the image clicked/not clicked... I have tried putting a text-decoration: none on the link. All the links are styled inline as well. This is the only image that it is having this issue on the email, so tried re-saving the image with no luck. The image is saved as a JPEG and SRGB from a Photoshop PSD. Any ideas? Thanks.

Loading a Win32 control in C# (specifically WPF)

I have written a set of Win32 dlls that encapsulate a Delphi Frame (see Snippet 1 below), and can load them into another Delphi program by loading the dll and assigning the right variables (Snippet 2). I now want to be able to do the same thing in C# (I can load the DLL in pinvoke, but am unsure how to connect up the control to the basic WPF 'form'. CSS/JQUERY make div scrollable without showing scrollbar

sIFR multiple calls don't work :(

While some people use this reset. * { margin: 0; padding: 0; } Is every element has default margin and padding in each browser default stylesheet( but differently)? While eric meyer collected some most used selectors and given this to all { margin: 0; padding: 0; border: 0; outline: 0; font-size: 100%; vertical-align: baseline; background: transparent; } Are those elements has different type of font sizes? different baseline, different background, outline and border? if we keep besides cons of universal selector. is this * { margin: 0; padding: 0; border: 0; outline: 0; font-size: 100%; vertical-align: baseline; background: transparent; } better than this * { margin: 0; padding: 0; }

password is auto-completed despite setting redisplay=false in JSP (Struts)

So I have a web application on Tomcat, built on top of Struts 1.1.
