  • Prevent process leak on LAMP environment

    I work with Magento applications, and i'm on kind of situation: When user load some stores that have mutch information/jquery need lot of server process, if the user refresh the store mutch times pressing F5 the server get too mutch slow and difficult to use the store. I need prevent this F5 'hack' slow my server, what i can do?? I think some kind of javascript/php solution. But i want you opnion. Ty all in advance.

  • kill a process in bash

    How do I kill a process which is running in bash - for example, suppose I open a file: $ gedit file.txt is there any way within the command prompt to close it? This example is fairly trivial, since I could just close the window, but it seems to come up a bit, particularly when I mistype commands. Also is there any way to escape an executable which is running? This probably has the same solution, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks

    I am attempting to write a regular expression to process a string of key value(s) pairs formatted like so KEY/VALUE KEY/VALUE VALUE KEY/VALUE A key can have multiple values separated by a space. I want to match a keys values together, so the result on the above string would be VALUE VALUE VALUE VALUE I currently have the following as my regex [A-Z0-9]+/([A-Z0-9 ]+)(?:(?!^[A-Z0-9]+/)) but this returns VALUE KEY as the first result.

    Hi, Okay, so I currently execute an ffmpeg command via PHP to run a video conversion. The Problem I'm Having is during the conversion, the ffmpeg process(es) use up so much CPU/Processing Power (near 100%), which slows down the response of my webserver. Is there a Way (crontab or script) I can limit the ffmpeg processes to a certain CPU percentage? Thanks,

    I'm trying to build a Google map application but keep receiving this in my LogCat. I have all the permissions and meta-data set in my manifest, but am still dumbfounded by this error. Have looked everywhere on SO for this specific error but found nothing relating to com.google.android.gms.checkin A little bit about my structural hierarchy. MainActivity extends ActionBarActivity with three tabs underneath actionbar. Each tab has it's own fragment. On the gMapFragment I create a GPSTrack object from my GPSTrack class which extends Service and implements LocationListener. The problem is that when I start the application I get this message: I have all my libraries imported properly and I even added the google-play-services.jar into my libs folder. I also installed Google Play Services APKs through CMD onto my emulator. Furthermore the LocationManager lm = = (LocationManager) mContext.getSystemService(LOCATION_SERVICE); in my GPSTrack class always returns null. Why is this and how can I fix these issues?   • Deployed Qt5 Application Doesn't Print or Show Print Dialog

    I'm experiencing Qt4 to Qt5 troubles. In my application when the user clicks the print button two things should happen, one is that a PDF gets written to disk (which still works fine in the new version, so I know that some of the printing functions are working properly) and the other is that a QPrintDialog should exec() and then send to a connected printer. I see the dialog when I launch from my development machine. The application launches on the deployed machine, but the QPrintDialog never shows and the document never prints. I am including print support. QT += core gui network webkitwidgets widgets printsupport I have been using Process Explorer to see what DLLs the application uses on my development machine, and I believe that everything is present.     I am trying to decide as to whether to use ProcessBuilder or Commons exec, My requirements are that I am simply trying to create a daemon process whose stdout/stdin/stderr I do not care about. In addition I want to execute a kill to destroy this process when the time comes. I am using Java on Linux. I know that both have their pains and pitfalls (such as being sure to use separate thread to swallow streams can lead to blocking or deadlocks, and closing the streams so not to leave open files hanging around)and wanted to know if anyone had suggestions one way or the other as well as any good resources to follow.

  • Deploy multiple instances of an EAR (representing versions) to Glassfish

    I basically want to be able to deploy multiple versions of the same EAR file to the same server (Glassfish instance?) , and have a unique path to each version separating them. From my reading on this it appears that multiple EARs deploy to the root of the web server namespace so that they can coexist if they do not have colliding context-root's of WAR's. In my case I'd rather have that instead of everything going under "/", I'd like to be able to brand a given EAR-file build to ALWAYS deploy under a given path like "/foo-20100319" or "/foo-CUSTOMER-20010101". This can easily be done with a single WAR file just by renaming it. I do not need or want them to disturb each other. It is my understanding that this remapping is outside the scope of the application.xml file, so I found that http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-7693/beayr?a=view says that I can specify web-uri and context-root, but I am not certain that what I wish to do, can be specified with these in Glassfish. How should I approach this? I have full control over the build process. (I have found http://stackoverflow.com/questions/877390/deploying-multiple-java-web-apps-to-glassfish-in-one-go but I am not certain how to apply this to what I need).

    Hi, I have a multi module web project. Four modules of the project are packaged as jar and added as dependency to the fifth module, which is packaged as war. When it is time to deploy the application i just run package on the war project and my war is created with all the dependencies. Now there is a problem. One of the my module have heavy changes. Now when i created war for my projects these changes was not reflected in the output war file(the jar in lib folder of war has still the old code). Can you please point the things i am missing from the release process? Why the old code is being packaged with the war? Can you please point some good resource for real file build process using maven? Regards, Vijay
