I have a device which would be interface with my processor through pcie. I have written driver for it using the existing pci file operations.
Now my problem is how do I access it from user space programs? PCI File operations do not have IOCTL support and hence I cant make an ioctl call unlike other char devices. I cannot use pci_config_read_byte etc. functions as they are meant for kernel space(included in linux/pci.h).
I am new to android development.
Have tried a couple times downloading the Android SDK and ADT plugin for Eclipse
In the Android SDK and AVD manager load fine but will not load any available packages.
Show:
- Android Repository
--"Some packages were found but are not compatible updates"
In the installed it shows 1.5 to 2.3 SDK platforms.
How to I get them available.
Appreciate help.
Thanks,
Alex
Hi,
Kangxi radicals in the range 2F00-2FDF (see link text) are not displayed correctly on the iPhone device. They appear as a crossed-out box. In the simulator they display correctly.
I tried the system font and also the
[UIFont fontWithName:@"STHeitiTC-Medium" size:24];
... Is the unicode codepoint coverage limited on the iphone (in my case OS 3.1.3)?
How to make those radicals appear???
Thx
Hello *,
I am trying to do a memory profile on a .Net CF app. It was originally compiled in 2.0, but I converted it to 3.5 so I can use the 3.5 CF PowerToys Remote Perf Mon. I am getting the following error message when trying to connect:
ActiveSync device: transport incompatible.
I am connecting via DMA through ActiveSync, should I be doing something differently?
Thanks!
The article was about an embedded device containing a memory chip, processor and could be extended with bluetooth wifi and an other RF transmitter.
The manufacturer developed a framework which contained: memory managment, TCP/IP stacks and more.
Anyone has an idea what it was?
thnx
I am looking for a combination USB device that is both a flash drive and a Bluetooth adapter. Has anyone seen an item like this available recently? I found some old articles circa 2004 but could not find anything current. Could anyone recommend a company or service that could help me find an item like this?
Thank you,

I would like to know as to what will happen to the thread which has been created by an activity and the device is rotated. I have observed that the onDestroy method is called when this happens. Will the thread be killed too?
If the thread is not killed, how can I reassociate the thread with the activity as a new instance of the activity is created on rotation.
Thanks,
Lakshmie
I am using Netbeans and s60 3rd version and i have completed contact manipulation which is working fine with emulator and now i want it to be work on s60 device so what are the steps to do this?

On a VMware virtual machine which has severe performance problems I can see a constant average of 20+ percent CPU load for the TASKMGR.EXE (task manager) process. The apps running on this server have lower load, around 4 to 10 percent average. The VM is running Windows 2003 Server Standard with 3.75 GB assigned RAM. I suspect that the task manager CPU load has something to do with other VM instances on the VMWare server but could not see a similar value on internal ESXi systems (the problematic VM runs in the customers IT).
Hi friends,
I got Install application list using "PacakageManager"

Are there any requirements/guidelines for an Android device? like numbers of buttons or minimum buttons required.
Also are there any android devices which do not have the menu and back buttons?
( I am aware that no menu/back buttons will kill most of the apps in terms of usability , I just wanted to know more on the topic :-) )
I have bunch of Symbol MC 70 devices. They run Windows Mobile 5. Most of these work just fine, but I have one that is sending the sounds (alarms and such) to the phone rather than the speaker on the device. (The sounds play in the speaker used for listening to a phone call)
Does anyone know how to route this back to the actual phone speaker?

Hi,
I'm trying to persist an object into the database using Cayenne Entity Manager. And unfortunately I get the following error:
org.apache.cayenne.CayenneRuntimeException: [v.3.0 Apr 26 2010 09:59:17] Commit Exception
Caused by: com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Table 'myDatabase.auto_pk_support' doesn't exist
Any idea how i could solve this issue? Thanks.
The Android virtual device (a simulated Android environment) doesn't run very smoothly on my machine. Scrolling and animations in general are quite sluggish. Is that normal?
I have a removable device setup so it autoruns when plugged into a Windows machine and pops up a message giving the owner's information, so it can be returned if lost. Is there a way to do this in Linux as well? It doesn't need to be complex, it can be an option in a right-click menu, or a splashscreen, or anything.
I try to open a large number of files but after 5000 files or so I get
Exception in thread "Main" java.io.IOException: The device is not connected
Is this the expected behavior? Is there a way around it? I want to leave my code as straightforward as possible.
In Blackberry device if we go to

It starts to bore me that I always have to ask questions about trifles.
I simply need a list of all plugged in USB devices and have the user select one to let the console application receive any data the USB device sends.
I can then start playing around with the data in my program.
I don't want to use library's, only standard C++ functions, and the program should work in Windows 98.
