• Is there a bug with Apache 2.2 and content filters (and maybe mod_proxy)?

  I'm running Apache 2.2.15-29 on RHEL 6 (actually Scientific Linux 6.4) and I'm trying to set up a reverse proxy with content rewriting so all of the links on the proxied web pages are rewritten to reference the proxy host. I'm running into a problem with some of the content rewriting and I'd like to know if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong (and how to do it right, if applicable). I'm proxying a subdirectory on an internal host (internal.example.com/foo) onto the root of an external host (external.example.com). I need to rewrite HTML, CSS, and Javascript content to fix all of the URLs. I'm also hosting some content locally on the external host, which I don't think is a problem but I'm mentioning here for completeness. When I use either mod_substitute or mod_ext_filter, the external server sends the pages as Transfer-Encoding: chunked, sends all of the data, and then closes the connection without sending the final, zero-length chunk. Some HTTP clients are unhappy with this. (Chrome won't process any content sent in this way, for example, so the pages don't get CSS applied to them.) • Why Are SPF Records Failing?

  Ok I've been going through various different sites, resources and topics here trying to figure out what is wrong with my SPF records but no matter what I do they don't seem to pass. Here's what I have "v=spf1 +a +mx +ip4:217.78.0.92 +ip4:217.78.0.95 -all" I've tried multiple different tools to check my spf records, some give me a pass, some don't. But I can't send mail to certain google app accounts, they just bounce back all the time which is very annoying. Anyone got any ideas? I have noticed that the source IP address is not the IPV4 addresses I've defined, but Cpanel wouldn't let me add that address into it.. And here's the result of tests I'm getting back from port25.com. I'm running WHM by the way and have enabled spf and dkim.   I have main domain and addon domain. Question. 1)When surfing to: ftp.addondomain.com or mail.addondomain.com For some reason it goes to the main domain. (normally this should not be problem but i still want completely separation) Do you know the syntax to redirect in the .htaccess file this: (.*).addondomain.com - addondomain.com and where do i put the code? in the addondomain .htaccess or in the main domain attaccess I.E any_words.addondomain.com should be forwarded to the addondomain.com so these: dsdhf.addondomain.com ftp.addondomain.com mail.addondomain.com ... all will be forwarded to: addondomain.com (i.e without the prefix). 2)Same question for https:// Main domain has SSL addon domain does not have ssl. For some reason when surfing to: https:// addondomain.com you get to: http:// maindomain.com (the address bar shows https:// addondomain.com but the site pages - the page you see is the page of the main domain) I would like that if user surfs to https:// addondomain.com then (since there is no ssl for the addon domain) then user will get to: http:// addondomain.com Or alternatively user will get error message. I do not want him to be redirected to the main domain. Please if you can, write me what to add to the .htaccess and i will add it. Please also let me know where to write the code. • Mac Outlook showing all links in smart quotes?

  I was given the task of fixing my friend's email today and really don't know what the problem is. When an email is sent from his laptop (Mac) from Outlook the email address link in the signature shows exactly like this: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>. Additionally the website link displays like this: www.website.com<http://www.website.com>. And lastly, the image comes through as cid:randomstringofnumbers. When I sent him an email and he sent one back it converted my signature to same weird formatting. Plus, even in the header where it shows our emails, they are displaying the same way: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>. And the weirdest thing is that this problem seems to be "compounding". So when I scroll down to the last, most recent email in the thread I see this www.website.com<http://www.website.com> next email shows this: www.website.com<http://www.website.com><http://www.website.com> and the next this: www.website.com<http://www.website.com><http://www.website.com><http://www.website.com> This is happening to the emails too, everywhere. I'm thinking this might be something to do with smart quotes and the auto formatting but I'm not sure. Could this be the problem? And if so how do I fix it?

  I have postfix set-up on my Debian VPS, I can: send emails receive emails on my server But forwarding emails from my server to gmail does not work! I configured google's DNS through /etc/resolv.conf I can ping google.com and with dig I also find gmail MX records. But when my server tries to forward email to gmail (setup with /etc/aliases) I get the following error: postfix/smtp[20280]: 825E117BA8A80: to=<[email protected]>, orig_to=<[email protected]>, relay=none, delay=40, delays=0/0.01/40/0, dsn=4.4.3, status=deferred (Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=gmail.com type=MX: Host not found, try again) What am I missing? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

• How to tell Seam to inject a local EJB interface (SLSB) and not the remote EJB interface (SLSB)?

  Hello, I am using Seam with JBoss AS. In my application I have a SLSB which is also declared as a seam component using the @Name annotation. I am trying to inject and use this SLSB in another seam component using the @In annotation. My problem is that sometimes Seam injects the local interface (then the code runs fine) and sometimes seam injects the remote interface (then there is an error in execution of the code). I have tried doing all the things specified on this link: http://docs.jboss.org/seam/2.2.0.GA/reference/en-US/html/configuration.html#config.integration.ejb.container The SeamInterceptor is configured, I have specified the jndi pattern in components.xml file ( < core:init debug="true" jndi-pattern="earName/#{ejbName}/local"/ ), I have also tried using the @JndiName("earName/ejbName/local") annotation for every SLSB, I have tried setting this property ( org.jboss.seam.core.init.jndiPattern=earName/#{ejbName}/local ) in the seam.properties file. I have also tried putting the text below in web.xml file <context-param> <param-name>org.jboss.seam.core.init.jndiPattern</param-name> <param-value>earName/#{ejbName}/local</param-value> </context-param> Even after doing all the above mentioned things, the seam still injects the remote interface sometimes. Am I missing something here? Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue and tell seam to always inject the local interface?   I am working on an export tool from Blender to Libgdx, exports like custom attributes and other information (Almost completed), this is a very cool tool that will speed up a lot your works, after I completed I will send to public to contribute forum, Export format is uses python's Standard Json module and readable text, it of course works fine, but I wanna also have a Binary Json export for faster load, so users can Export Straight to Libgdx, but after I search I found that UBJson with draft9.py (simpleubjson 0.6.1) encode is seems matches with one FBXConverter's UBJsonWriter( Xoppa wrote), but when I export, I am not able to read the file, and send this errors (Java heap space) seems this is a different between byte sizes in UBJson(python) and UBJsonReader. how can I write a correct one in python that matches with Libgdx's UBJsonReader, and would be cross-platform? I still got the same error. I also tried installing some things from the ubuntu software center. Funny thing is, that worked fine and I was able to successfully download and install software from the software center, so it seems that only update manager can't access the repositories. I have searched for and found similar cases (relating to ubuntu 12.10), but most of those cases involved ppa's, and I don't use any ppa's. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

• Wordpress .htaccess preventing subfolder access

  This is sort of a goofy setup, but it's not in my power to reconfigure it at this time. I'm running in a shared hosting environment. The domain is example.com. This is an add-on domain on the host side with example.com being redirected to the www/example.com sub-directory. That directory houses a standard Wordpress site which acts as the main site when you visit example.com. The .htaccess file within that directory is: # BEGIN WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] </IfModule> # END WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^wp-admin/profile\.php$ /ssm/welcome [R] </IfModule> I have a subdirectory, at the root level with the /example.com subdirectory that houses a cake php application. That subdirectory is /tracker. My problem is that when I attempt to browse to example.com/tracker, I get a 404 from Wordpress because perma links are on. What I think I need is a rewrite rule in the Wordpress .htaccess file that short circuits the existing rewrite rules and permits example.com/tracker to work independently of the Wordpress install. Or a rewrite rule at the root level that short circuits the redirect to the /example.com directory in the first place. Not sure how well I explained that so here's a summary. The www/ directory structure: example.com/ tracker/ Add on domain of www.example.com redirecting to the /example.com directory with Wordpress and a tracker/ directory running CakePHP which I would like to access via www.example.com/tracker. While the ORA-600 error is "captured" as a handled exception in the Oracle source code, the ORA-7445 is an unhandled exception error due to an OS exception which should result in the creation of a core file.  An ORA-7445 is a generic error, and can occur from anywhere in the Oracle code. The precise location of the error is identified by the core file and/or trace file it produces.  Looking for the best way to diagnose? An ORA-4031 error is raised when memory is unavailable for use or reuse in the System Global Area (SGA).  The error message will indicate the memory pool getting errors and high level information about what kind of allocation failed and how much memory was unavailable.  The challenge with ORA-4031 analysis is that the error and associated trace is for a "victim" of the problem.   The failing code ran into the memory limitation, but in almost all cases it was not part of the root problem.    Looking for the best way to diagnose? When an ORA-4031 error occurs, a trace file is raised and noted in the alert log if the process experiencing the error is a background process.   User processes may experience errors without reports in the alert log or traces generated.   The V$SHARED_POOL_RESERVED view will show reports of misses for memory over the life of the database. Diagnostics scripts are available in Note 430473.1 to help in analysis of the problem.  There is also a training video on using and interpreting the script data Note 1087773.1. 11g DiagnosabilityStarting with Oracle Database 11g Release 1, the Diagnosability infrastructure was introduced which places traces and core files into a location controlled by the DIAGNOSTIC_DEST initialization parameter when an incident, such as an ORA-4031 occurs. For earlier versions, the trace file will be written to either USER_DUMP_DEST (if the error was caught in a user process) or BACKGROUND_DUMP_DEST (if the error was caught in a background process like PMON or SMON). • Android app crashes on emulator - logCat shows no errors

  I have just added the SherlockActionBar library to my android project. After some small changes (FragmentActivity - SherlockFragmentActivity, getActionBar() - getSupportActionBar(), imports) it all compiled nicely. After I run the app, however, the debugger stops, as though it had encountered an exception. However, there are no errors shown in the LogCat output. I just can't wrap my head around what's going on. • The right way of using index.html

  I have quite a lot of issues I'd like to hear your opinion on, so I hope I'll manage to explain it well enough. I should also note that I'm beginner equipped only with the knowledge of HTML and CSS so although I'm almost sure that there is a simple solution using powerful PHP, it won't help me. Let's say that I have my personal blog on the address example.com/blog.html and there are links to several sub-blogs example.com/blog/math.html, example.com/blog/coding.html etc. So my root folder contains blog.html and blog folder, the blog folder itself contains files math.html and coding.html. First of all, I learned (from Google Webmasters Tools) that for SEO and aesthetical purposes it's good to unify example.com.com and example.com/index.html by adding _rel="canonical"_ attribute into the source of the index.html. Using a couple of other tricks (like linking to ../ and ./) I got rid of the ugly index.html appearing in my web addresses. And now I wonder if this trick can be used not only for the root folder but for any folder? I mean, I would move my blog.html into the blog folder, rename it into the index.html and add rel="canonical" to unify example.com/blog/index.html with example.com/blog/. This trick would change the address of my blog from example.com/blog.html into example.com/blog/. Not finished! I'm also experiencing problems with the google robot indexing my folders. So when I type site:example.com/ into the google search, the link to my folder example.com/blog/ with raw files, icons etc. appears among the other results. I guess there are also other ways how to fix it, but IMHO the change mentioned above would do the trick too - the index.html in the blog folder would preserve the user from viewing the actual raw content of that folder, there would appear only the right link example.com/blog/ in the google search and (I hope that) _rel="canonical"_ would make the second, unwanted link example.com/blog/index.html not to appear in the search results. So my questions are: Is it a good practice to have the index.html file in every subfolder or is it intended to be only in the root folder? Are there any disadvantages or problems that may occur when using the second, "index in every folder" method? Which one of the two ways of structuring the website described above would you prefer?
