  • Xcode Error: "Buildfile: build.xml does not exist! Build failed"

    I am trying to use Xcode 3.2 for java tool development. My project has no problem building and shows it built the file build.xml fine and also shows up in file folder fine. When I try to run the .java file, I get the error: "Buildfile: build.xml does not exist! Build failed". Running "ant -find build.xml" in Terminal produces "not found". I believe the problem is that I need to point to my own build.xml location, but I have no idea how to change which directory it looks for this file.   • gdb+osx: no output when using printf/CFShow

    I attached to a program with gdb in OSX and I want to use CFShow in the gdb console etc. However, nothing shows up. printf shows nothing as well: (gdb) call (int) printf("Hello\n") $10 = 6 (gdb) call (int) printf("Hello World!\n") $11 = 13 Apple suggests the following tip for when attaching with gdb, to make the output appear in the gdb console: (gdb) call (void) close(1) (gdb) call (void) close(2) (gdb) shell tty /dev/ttyp1 (gdb) call (int) open("/dev/ttyp1", 2, 0) $1 = 1 (gdb) call (int) open("/dev/ttyp1", 2, 0) $2 = 2 In xcode's gdb console tty gives "not a tty", so I tried it in gdb in a terminal. There tty does work but after redirecting stdout there's still no output. Also no output if I direct stdout to a file.. :/ Any salvation?

  • NDepend query methods/types in framework assembly being used by other assemblies/types

    I am trying to determine which types or methods in a base framework assembly are being used by other assemblies in the application system. I cannot seem to find a straight-cut query to do that. What i have to do is first determine which assemblies are directly using the framework assembly, then manually list them in a second query SELECT TYPES FROM ASSEMBLIES "IBM.Data.DB2" WHERE IsDirectlyUsedBy "ASSEMBLY:FirstDirectUsedByAssebmly" OR IsDirectlyUsedBy "ASSEMBLY:SecondDirectUsedByAssebmly" OR IsDirectlyUsedBy "ASSEMBLY:ThirdDirectUsedByAssebmly" OR IsDirectlyUsedBy "ASSEMBLY:FourthDirectUsedByAssebmly" Is there a better/faster way to query for this? Additionally, the query results are focused on the matched types only. The Dependency graph or matrix exported only shows details of those. I do not know how to render a graph that shows those types or methods plus show the dependent types/methods from other assemblies that are consuming them?

  • Help configuring MSpec

    rig: win7 64bit, vs2010, mvc v2, TestDriven.Net 3.0, Reshaper 5.0, MSpec 0.3 i recently started a new project and want to use mspec. (1) copied Machine.Specifications.ReSharperRunner.5.0.dll and Machine.Specifications.dll to JetBrains\ReSharper\5.0\Bin\Plugins\Machine.Specifications (2) copied Machine.Specifications.TDNetRunner.dll to TestDriven.NET 3\Machine.Specifications when i try to run the test i get this error: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Machine.Specifications i don't know where this error is coming from. vs2010 menu - ReSharper -Plugins shows the MSpec plugin. vs2010 menu -ReSharper - Options - Tools - Unit Testing also shows the MSpec unit testing provider but it doesn't show any details when i click on it as does MSTest and nUnit. i found this: http://marcinobel.com/index.php/mspec-bdd-installer/ which didn't work. i also tried this: http://eduncan911.com/blog/registering-mspec-runners-for-testdriven-net-on-windows-x64.aspx which also didn't work. now i fear i screwed my registry. any guidance?

  • Problem Installing Application on iPhone: Resource has been modified

    Hi, I am working on a simple iPhone application and when I run my app on my machine it installs on the device, but when I try it on a Windows machine using an ad-hoc distribution profile, it shows an error: "Application couldn't be installed because a resource has been modified." I have 2 iPhones and have tested the same app; on iPhone 2G it works fine, but on the 3G it shows the error I have written above. I tried to change the certificate and provisioning profiles, but no luck. Please let me know where I am mistaken. Thanks. Steve

  • Apps not showing in Django admin site

    I have a Django project with about 10 apps in it. But the admin interface only shows Auth and Site models which are part of Django distribution. Yes, the admin interface is up and working but none of my self-written apps shows there.   • Alpha transparent PNGs not displaying correctly in Mobile Safari

    I'm using some semi-transparent PNGs as background-images on various websites. These are usually something like a 1x1 image with a 30-percent opaque white layer. I've noticed that Mobile Safari does not display them correctly, giving them a darker/grayish tint. I've created a couple test pages to illustrate. View them both in your normal browser, and then on Mobile Safari, and you should see what I mean. This shows 11 red images of varying opacities on white: http://thecompleteworks.org/alpha-tests/index-red.html This shows 11 white images of varying opacities on blue: http://thecompleteworks.org/alpha-tests/index.html Is this a MobileSafari bug (I couldn't imagine so), or do I need to do something different, either to my pages or PNGs? (Here's how I create the PNGs: In Photoshop, create a 1x1 transparent canvas. Draw a white rectangle in Layer 1. Set opacity to, say 30 percent, Save for Web as 24-bit PNG with transparency.)

    Hi, I want to install SQL Server 2008 express. I have already Visual Studio 2008 Team System with SP1. VS in help about shows me: MVS version: 9.0.30729.1 SP .NET Framework version: 3.5 SP1 but installator of SQL Server shows me that Visual Studio doesn't have SP1. Anyway I tricked up him by change in win registry HKLM Software Microsoft DevDiv VS Servicing 9.0 IDE 1033 value from RTM on SP1 and instalation runs. But during instalation error was occured about SP1 again. SQL Server was installed without SQL Managment. When I try install it I have allways the same error about SP1. I was install SP1 couple times with success but it does nothing. I was instal SQL Server SP1 also but it does nothing. Reinstall of VS 2008 and SP1 does nothing. What can I do? File() is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp/:/usr/local/:/usr/bin) in Unknown on line 0 I tried to write in RewriteLog which triggered 500 server error again A little help?   • UILabel not updating

    I have an update panel within which a sortable grid is present. While sorting, I have to change an image which shows the sort direction. The sort is an ajax operation initiated by a linkbutton for each column. Everything works fine except the image control. I am able to toggle visible property to show and hide it but, not able to change the ImageUrl property. imagesort.ImageUrl = "~/images/asc.jpg"; imagesort.Visible = true; The above code shows the image but the image is always the imageurl given in the markup not what is set in the code. If imageurl is not specified in the markup, no image(broken image) is shown irrespective of the above code.

  • Android Maps Back Button

    I'm developing an application that shows a path on a map, determined by a KML file. Specifically, in the MapActivity that is starting the map: public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); MapView mapView = (MapView) findViewById(R.id.mapview); mapView.setBuiltInZoomControls(true); Uri uri = Uri.parse("geo:0,0?q=http://urltokml"); Intent mapIntent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, uri); mapIntent.setData(uri); startActivity(Intent.createChooser(mapIntent, kmlFile)); finish(); } The map loads fine and after a few seconds the path described by the KML shows up. The problem is, when I press the "Back" button, it does not return to the previous screen but instead just hides the KML overlay. If the "Back" button is pressed again, it will return to the previous screen. Any ideas of how to solve this?

    Here is the code I used: x = linspace(0,2); e = exp(1); lin = e; quad = e-e.*x.*x/2; cub = e-e.*x.*x/2; quart = e-e.*x.*x/2+e.*x.*x.*x.*x/24; act = e.^cos(x); mplot = plot(x,act,x,lin,x,quad,x,cub,x,quart); legend('actual','linear','quadratic','cubic','quartic') This produces a legend matching the right colors to actual and linear, then after that it seems to skip over red on the graph, but not on the legend, i.e. the legend says quadratic should be red, but the graph shows it as green, the legend says cubic should be green, but the graph shows it as purple etc. Any help is appreciated.

    I wrote a C# application that is a simple countdown timer. I use it myself to keep track of cooking time (not to forget about boiling pasta) and other purposes. It works in the tray. When hovering the icon it shows remaining time as a tooltip. When clicked it shows remaining time in a balloon tip. I would like displayed time to be "ticking down", i.e. to update every second. How do I force update/redraw of the balloon and tool tip?

  • iPad UIViewController loads as portrait when device is in landscape

    I have an application with 3 view controllers. They are all have shouldAutoRotateToInterfaceOrientation returning YES. The first two, my main menu and my submenu both autorotate just fine. The third viewcontroller, which programatically loads a UIImageView from a jpg file in the program's bundle, will only display in portrait. In the viewcontroller containing the image, i have this: NSString *imageName = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@-00%d.jpg",setPrefix,imageNumber]; UIImageView *pictureView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:imageName]]; pictureView.frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, 1024, 768); [self.view addSubview:pictureView]; and again, I have shouldAutoRotateToInterfaceOrientation returning YES for all orientations. My image shows up, but is sideways, and the 0,0,1024,768 values I used to make my rectangle start from the top right corner going down, instead of starting at the top left and going across (holding in landscape). Am I missing a parameter I need to set in order to ensure the imageview shows up in landscape instead of portrait?

  • dismissModalViewControllerAnimated: crashes in Simulator but not on phone

    I'm doing the following: [self.parentViewController dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES] This code fails using the Simulator but works with no issues on the phone itself. The Simulator's console shows no erros. I used NSLog statements to pinpoint this line of code as the culprit. When running on the phone, however, the console(windoworganizer) shows that the above code is executed and the application proceeds forward with no problem. When running the code in debugger, the following statement appears at the bottom of the Xcode debug window: GDB: Data Formatters temporarily unavailable, will re-try after a 'continue'. (Not safe to call dlopen at this time.) Then a window dispalys stating: Loading 43672 stack frames. (that sounds bad) In the debug window the following line appears numerous times: [UIView(Hierarchy) _makeSubtreePerformSelector:withObject:withObject:copySublayers:] Without getting too deep into my code, does anyone know about or have experience with this type of condition? Shows timeline/history instead of location. A simple example would be SMALL CATEGORY - HOME - BIG CATEGORY - HOME The question is: Are there any ready-made JSF component for these types of navigation?

There are no standard control from the API and the box is smart enough to resize when you press enter OR when the text is too long. Also the bar resizes with it. How is this done with the least coding? 2) How to code it such that when the keyboard shows up the whole view shifts up? Typically when the keyboard shows, it goes over your current view.

    Hello I'm using entity framework that came with 3.5sp1. And in visual studio I have imported function so it shows under "Function Imports" in the "Model Browser". I have assigned all rights to the user that connects to the database. But it doesnt show in the intellisense when I type "_entities.", only my other entities shows there. I opened the designer file and couldnt find it there either..... The stored procedure should return a scalar datetime value, and not an "entity" What might be wrong here? /M

  • Loading .png image from array of uint8_t into OpenGL ES texture

    Normally, when we want to load a texture for OpenGL ES with .png, we simply add the .png images into XCode. The .png files will be altered for optimization by XCode and these altered png files can loaded into OpenGL ES texture during the runtime. However, what I am trying to do is quite different. I am trying to load a .png file that is not from the prebuilt/compile. The png file will be transmitted externally from UDP, and it will be in the form of array of bytes. I am very sure that the png is transferred correctly, but when it comes to displaying the png image in the form of the OpenGL ES texture, the image somehow shows incorrectly. The colors that are being sent are presented but the positions are somehow very incorrect. However, the position of the colors still retain some aspects of the original position. Here: The left image shows the original .png, while the right shows the png being displayed on iPhone using OpenGL ES Texture. It looks more like the png data is not being decoded or incorrectly processed.   • eclipse xdebug session never completes

    I am trying to get xdebug working with eclipse (3.5) / php (on xampp windows 7). I have verified xdebug is enabled in php - I have the fancy output and my phpinfo shows all the xdebug stuff. I have remote debug on, and typed in the lan ip address on my eclipse machine. When I tell eclipse to debug, it launches the browser and passes the debug URL parameters. That looks OK. However, in eclipse debug perspective it shows 'launching myproject' 57% 'waiting for xdebug session'. It sits there forever. I have turned off windows firewall on both machines. I tried turning implicit flush on. Any ideas?

  • Why is the meaning of “ours” and “theirs” reversed with git-svn

    I use git-svn and I noticed that when I have to fix a merge conflict after performing a git svn rebase, the meaning of the --ours and --theirs options to e.g. git checkout is reversed. That is, if there's a conflict and I want to keep the version that came from the SVN server and throw away the changes I made locally, I have to use ours, when I would expect it to be theirs. Why is that?
