  • SubSonic template with MySQL

    When I run the custom tool to create the cs files for SubSonic all the templates now inject a letter g to the top of the cs files. To get this to compile I need to remove the g from the ActiveRecord.cs, Struts.cs, Context.cs and StoredProcedures.cs. Anyone else run into this? I am using MySQL.

    I'm building a website in django that needs to extract key words from short (twitter-like) messages. I've looked at packages like topia.textextract and nltk - but both seem to be overkill for what I need to do. All I need to do is filter words like "and", "or", "not" while keeping nouns and verbs that aren't conjunctives or other parts of speech. Are there any "simpler" packages out there that can do this? EDIT: This needs to be done in near real-time on a production website, so using a keyword extraction service seems out of the question, based on their response times and request throttling.

  • Best way to detect duplicates when using Spring Hibernate Template

    We have an application which needs to detect duplicates in certain fields on create. We are using Hibernate as our persistence layer and using Spring's HibernateTemplate. My question is whether it is better to do so an upfront lookup for the item before creating, or to attempt to catch the DataIntegrityViolation exception and then check if this is caused by a duplicate entry.

    I'm on learning ruby and I took a already done IRC-Bot from the web which just connects to a given serven and not much more. Then I added some features (in my case I try to implement a voting where to eat lunch). Now these work fine so far but I don't know if the ruby script does something wrong or there is something wrong with the IRC-server.     I am trying to create a dynamic hyperlink that depends on a value passed from a function: {% for item in field_list %} <a href={% url index_view %}{{ item }}/> {{ item }} </a> <br> {% endfor %} The problem is that one of the items in field_list is "Hockey Player". The link for some reason is dropping everything after the space, so it creates the hyperlink on the entire "Hockey Player", but the address is http://126.0.0.1:8000/Hockey How can I get it to go to http://126.0.0.1:8000/Hockey Player/ instead?

    I am using the following command to grep stuff in subdirs find . | xargs grep -s 's:text' However, this also finds stuff like <s:textfield name="sdfsf"...../> What can I do to avoid that so it just finds stuff like <s:text name="sdfsdf"/> OR for that matter....also finds <s:text somethingElse="lkjkj" name="lkkj" basically s:text and name should be on same line....

    Hi, I tried to read CPUID using assembler in C++. I know there is function for it in , but I want the asm way. So, after CPUID is executed, it should fill eax,ebx,ecx registers with ASCII coded string. But my problem is, since I can in asm adress only full, or half eax register, how to break that 32 bits into 4 bytes.     I'm utilizing the jQuery Validation plugin for my form. It lets you change the errorElement and wrap the errorElement using with the wrapper option. But, I want to insert an element within errorElement like this: <label class="error"><em></em>Error message goes here</label> Is there an easy way to accomplish inserting the em tag? I've tried prepending the em tag using the errorPlacement option (see below), but it seems the plugin is replacing the contents of errorElement afterwards. $.validator.setDefaults({ errorPlacement: function(error, element) { error.prepend('<em/>'); error.insertBefore(element); } }); I've also tried prepending the em tag using the showErrors option (see below).   • Missing Project Template after installing ASP.NET MVC 2

    Hi, I have downloaded the ASP.NET MVC 2 Release version (using Web Platform Installer) as well as the downloading the file directly from the link in WPI. No error messages are reported after the install. When I go into Visual Web Developer and select Create New project I only the project reference to ASP.NET MVC version 1.0 and not version 2 (for clarity I have all the other project types, this is just in reference to the MVC projects). I have restarted, uninstalled and restarted and installed my PC multiple times and it still won't play. When clicking add a reference I can see the MVC.dll version 2.0.0.0 and add that no problem, but cannot manually upgrade the project since the ProjectTypeGuid used is not recognized. For reference I am using Visual Web Developer 2008 on Windows XP. ASP.NET MVC version 1.0 is working fine and without issue. Hope someone else can help. DNH

What I would like to do is Open a excel file that is the XLTemplatePath and the either rename or save the file at the XLSaveReportPath and then use that renamed/saved file to fill the report out.     I'm trying to build a simple application, with the finished program looking like this : I will also have to implement two different GUI layouts for this. Now I'm trying to figure out the best method to perform this task. My professor told me to introduce Element class with 4 states : - empty - invisible (used in GridLayout) - first letter - other letter I've thought about following solutions (by List I mean any sort of Collection) : 1. Element is a single letter, and each line is Element[]. Game class will be array of arrays Element[]. I guess that's the dumbest way, and the validation might be troublesome. 2. Like previously but Line is a List of Element. Game is an array of Lines. 3. Like previously but Game is a List of Lines. Which one should I choose ? Or maybe do you have better ideas ? What collection would be best if to use one ?

  • Fluent NHibernate Column Mapping with Reserved Word

    I've read that using a back tick ` should allow for using of reserved words. I'm using SQL Server and Fluent NHibernate and have a column name "File". If I map it with "`File" it tries using [Fil] so it's adding the brackets correctly, but dropping the "e" from the end. If I map it as "`Filee" it uses [File] correctly. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug in NHibernate or Fluent Nhibernate?
