    Ok so I had a qustion awhile back regarding Silverlight 4 Data Binding with anonymous types, one of the answers was to use [assembly: System.Runtime.CompilerServices.InternalsVisibleTo("System.Windows")] in your AssemblyInfo.cs file. I tried this and it works! I know I'm making all my internal properties classes and methods visible to the System.Windows Assembley. But what kind of risk is this with the following in mind: The product is a hosted silverlight based web application, so it wont be distributed. Thanks in advance

  • Can I use cairoDevice in R under Windows?

    Currently, on my R 2.10.1 installation on Windows XP, capabilities()["cairo"] returns False. Loading the package cairoDevice fails with the message "LoadLibrary failure" however the shared library "C:/Programme/R/R-2.10.1/library/cairoDevice/libs/cairoDevice.dll" is there. Any ideas how I can make cairo work on windows?

  • Emulating Windows Photo Viewer image dragging in c#

    Hi, i'm trying to emulate how image is being dragged inside the windows photo viewer when it is large. The problem is, i don't how to drag the image while keeping it intact in the form's edges. If you're observing windows photo viewer, when you drag the image downward for instance the image moves and stops when the top end of the image is visible, but in my app, it continues to move since i don't know how to check when to stop it. Any idea please?

    I like to use wcf (windows communication foundation) with windows authentication. Do I need Active directory for this purpose? How the server knows about the identity of the client? If someone can found out the pass of the client that is using the wcf services, can he create the same user name on different computer and use the password to access the wcf services ?     Hi, I have tried running windows xp development virtual machine under windows 7 and the performance was dreadful. I'm considering installing Linux and running the virtual machine from the Linux, but I'm not sure whether I can expect any performance gains? It's a 2.4ghz core 2 duo machine with 4gb ram and 5400 rpm hdd. Can somebody please recommend very cut down version of linux that can run VMWare player and isn't resource hungry? Thank you

  • IIS7 & WIndows Authentication - authenticating to the wrong domain

    I have an IIS 7 web app that is using Windows authentication. Currently, everything is set up correctly based on all that I've been able to find on the web. What's happening is when a user tries to get to that domain, they see the authentication popup, but they are being requested to authenticate to "servername.domain" instead of just the domain .... How do I get IIS 7 (or the browser for that matter) to realize that windows authentication should be to the domain, not to the machine hosting the IIS 7 instance?? Thanks, Steve G.

    Hi all, Just wondering what everybody's opinion is on the Windows Admin tool Event Viewer? I'm writing a WCF application at the moment and have started logging errors to the windows event viewer when I handle them. I then started thinking, should I be logging more than just errors, such as when a user has logged in or out or would you go further logging even more activity? Or is this a tool that's mainly used for testing without using the debugger? Any input appreciated:-)

I'm looking for alternatives to the Delphi suite (so don't give it as an answer), something that would allow me to write Windows GUI applications with ease. I don't care about the language, as long as it gets the job done, but I would appreciate if your suggestions avoid functional languages. Even better if it abstracts the windowing system with something more simple than the winAPI.

    In my C# app, even I handle exception : Application.SetUnhandledExceptionMode(UnhandledExceptionMode.CatchException); AppDomain.CurrentDomain.UnhandledException += new UnhandledExceptionEventHandler(CurrentDomain_UnhandledException); and then in handler showing dialog box and doing Application.Exit still getting windows error reporting dialog with Send, Don't Dend...     I've been building a Windows Service to create a WebBrowser object to navigate, login, and download a site's HTML. However, I recently discovered this bug which prevents the DocumentCompleted event from firing if the WebBrowser is not visible: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259935 I've got to assume this is because the Windows Service doesn't allow for a GUI and therefore this bug is tripped.   • Running compiled squid [proxy] on windows

    I have downloaded latest version of squid and tried to compile squid on windows according to http://www.piececode.com/other/compile-squid-2-7-on-windows/ , I changed c:\squid to c:\squid2, because had a precompiled version in there. When I run c:\squid2\squid.exe , squid.exe -v , squid.exe -i , squid.exe -X , as I tested these parameters, it will be exited quickly without printing anything at all. Why? I found where the system doesn't return 0 and quits, it's in function WIN32_Subsystem_Init . Thanks!
