• CSS Experts required - problems with Z-Index stack in my page design

  Howdy y'all! Basically I'm having some problems with Z-Index. Although I'm not amazing at CSS I would reckon I was reasonably good, but really can't work this out. You'll see at the URL... http://howcode.com/code/ ... that my problem is that links in the returned 'Popular' results aren't clickable or anything. I've concluded this is due to their Z-Index being messed up. I had to fiddle and tweak with Z-Index to get the tabs - Popular, Top Rated, Featured etc. - to show above the codebg div. When I adjusted the Z-Index so that the results were definitely on top, they acted as normal - text could be selected, the ratings images hovered, etc. etc. However the downside to this was that my Popular, Top Rated, Featured tabs were all placed BENEATH the background image for the returned results. If anyone can post a workaround or alteration to my CSS that would be much appreciated. Please don't forget this is a test site and design and any other URLs are likely not to work, I haven't uploaded any database configs yet or whatever! • Testing form submission with Cucumber

  I wrote a simple Cuke feature for a form on a demo site. The feature looks like this. Given I am on the home page When I set the "Start Date" to "2010-10-25" And I set the "End Date" to "2011-1-3" And I press the "Go" button Then I should see "Cake Shop" The idea is that after I press the Go button, a new page will load, showing a list of results, and one of the results should be "Cake Shop." But I have not managed to get this to work. Is there something that I am missing? Edit: here is the step definitions. • JQuery drag, drop and save via cookie - how to?

  Sorry to be back folks, but you guys & girls seem to know much more about this than I do ... anyhow, here is my question/problem I want to use drag, drop, sort (the interface plugin does me even though I have read it's out of date? but have looked at UI and to be honest is not clear and to me appears heavier than interface?)   I'm trying to change the background colour of the <body> depending on what tab specific is active. When a tab is active, a class called 'st_view_active' is added onto the tab content.   Hi, I can normally get the ID of the default tree nodes but my problem is onCreate then jsTree will add a new node but it doesn't have an ID. My question is how can I add an ID to the newly created tree node? What I'm thinking to do is adding the ID HTML attribute to the newly created tree node but how? I need to get the ID of all of the nodes because it will serve as a reference for the node's respective div storage. My friend told me that Paypal offers webservice. But i can't seem to find any documentation on Paypal site. If anybody could help me with this, i would be really very grateful. Secondly, my friend also told me that we need to give location to paypal where my visitors would be redirected once paypal payment is complete. But i am confused. I am working on localhost. • tbody td borders not scrolling with content in tbody overflow:auto;

  I am unable to get the borders of these td's to follow their rows as I scroll through this overflow:auto; . Any ideas on a fix? Note: Setting table-layout:fixed or making rows display:block isn't an option as the rows will lose their fluidity.. You can see the issue in the latest Firefox, so I assume it's messed up elsewhere. I am running into a problem with trying to move my login form from the users controller and just have it displayed in the main navigation so that a user can easily log in from anywhere. The problem is the form doesn't generate the correct action for the html form.   In my toplevel menu items, I would like to make a subline for each item. I don't think it's possible to do by default, byt YooTheme has done it in many of their templates. The menu output look like this <div class="moduletable_menu"> <ul id="mainmenu" class="menu"> <li class="active item1" id="current"> <a href="URL_HIDDEN"> <span>Services</span> </a> </li> </ul> This basically outputs a one line menu item like so: Services What I would like to do is have a menu item like this: Services Service x, Service y, Service z For reference, have a look at the main menu on the YooTheme demo page. The way YooTheme does this, is using two pipes (||) as a linebreak, so in the Joomla backend you type "Services||Service x, Service y, Service z" as the menu title, and then there must be some fancy javascript that breaks this title into two spans, ready to be styled using css. Does anyone know of an easy way to code this? Please note that I am looking to build this feature into a custom template (ie. non-yootheme). Also note that I am not using MooTools, but Jquery instead.

  Dear programmers of StackOverflow, recently me and two of my friends from college started a software company. We are developing web-applications using GWT-Spring-Hibernate and other helper frameworks. In a couple of months, we managed to set up a stable back-end and produced some demo programs for CRM solutions. Our area of interest is CRM where we can combine the flexibility of our back-end with the slick looking GWT based GUIs. Unfortunately we live in a third world country (well, kind of two and a half :) and no one here gives our work enough credit, or really cares about the advantages of web-apps. We are stuck at the moment because our current clients do not want to pay that much money for just "putting their local app on the web". Since we can not find satisfying work here, we have decided to work online/international. I was wondering if you guys know a good freelance kind of sites where we can throw ourselves into the market.. Also a question from frustration, to those who are in the field or knowledgeable/interested about web based CRM, how much would you ask/pay for lets say a web app which will keep track of all the patients of a multi-branch clinic also allowing the patients to access to view their own records? • Drupal - Search box not working - custom theme template

  Hello, I am using a customised version of search-theme-from.tpl When I use the search box, I do get transferred to the search page. But the search does not actually take place. The search box on the search results page does work though. • Use cases of [ordered], the new PowerShell 3.0 feature

  PowerShell 3.0 CTP1 introduces a new feature [ordered] which is somewhat a shortcut for OrderedDictionary. I cannot imagine practical use cases of it. Why is this feature really useful? Can somebody provide some useful examples? Example: this is, IMHO, rather demo case than practical: $a = [ordered]@{a=1;b=2;d=3;c=4} (I do not mind if it is still useful, then I am just looking for other useful cases). I am not looking for use cases of OrderedDictionary, it is useful, indeed. But we can use it directly in v2.0 (and I do a lot). I am trying to understand why is this new feature [ordered] needed in addition. Collected use cases from answers: $hash = [ordered]@{} is shorter than $hash = New-Object System.Collections.Specialized.OrderedDictionary N.B. ordered is not a real shortcut for the type. New-Object ordered does not work. N.B. 2: But this is still a good shortcut because (I think, cannot try) it creates typical for PowerShell case insensitive dictionary. The equivalent command in v2.0 is too long, indeed: New-Object System.Collections.Specialized.OrderedDictionary]([System.StringComparer]::OrdinalIgnoreCase)

• Dynamically loading external HTML in a div using Java Script

  I have prepared some demo examples for the topic. There is page name "changelog.html" here: http://pantheon-studios.in/test/jquery/changelog.html This is working fine if loaded directly. I am trying to load this page dynamically into: http://pantheon-studios.in/test/jquery/index.html Here changelog.html doesn't behaving as expected. I think the init script on changelog.html is not getting executed or something else is happening when loading it dynamically. Like wise I do have couple of other pages using various jQuery and other java scripts plugins. Some of those needs initialization like animatedcollapse.js in the above example, and couple of them doesn't need initialization, you can directly call the script and go. I also gave a try using: jQuery.getScript("anim.js") after dynamically loading "changelog.html" but doesn't work. The "anim.js" contains animatedcollapse.addDiv('cat', 'fade=0,speed=400,group=pets,hide=1'); animatedcollapse.addDiv('dog', 'fade=0,speed=400,group=pets,hide=1'); animatedcollapse.addDiv('rabbit', 'fade=0,speed=400,group=pets,hide=1'); animatedcollapse.init(); I would really appreciate is some one point me out the right direction. I am completely new to web programming so please have some patience with me. Thanks

• XML file does't load when HTML5 video plays

  I should be able to loads the related XML file and displays the content of the XML file as the video plays back. What am I missing?   Why i can't access MasterPage's public property (MessagePlaceholder) from other Class (Errors) ? • How to get Amazon s3 PHP SDK working?

  I'm trying to set up s3 for the first time and trying to run the sample file that comes with the PHP sdk that creates a bucket and attempts to upload some demo files to it. But this is the error I am getting: The difference between the request time and the current time is too large. I read on another question on SO that this is because Amazon determines a valid request by comparing the times between the server and the client, that the 2 must be within a 15 min span of one another. Now here is the problem. My laptop's time is 12:30AM June 8, 2012 at the moment. On my server I created a file called servertime.php and placed this code in that file: <?php print strftime('%c'); ?> and the output is: Fri Jun 8 00:31:22 2012 It looks like the day is correct but I don't know what to make of 00:31:22. In any case, how is it possible to always make sure the time between the client and server is within a 15 minute window of one another. What if I have a user in China who wishes to upload a file on my site which uses s3 for the cdn. Then the time difference would be over a day. How can I make sure all my user's times are within 15 minutes of my server time? What if the user is in the U.S. but the time on their machine is misconfigured. Basically how to get s3 bucket creation and upload to work?
