    Win32 Virtual listviews (LVS_REPORT view) created with the LVS_OWNERDATA style are supposed not to scroll when LVSICF_NOSCROLL is used in the LVM_SETITEMCOUNT message or ListView_SetItemCountEx macro, according the MSDN documentation. However, this doesn't seem work, and the list-view scrolls regardless of the use of LVSICF_NOSCROLL. In these sorts of cases, 99% of the time it is something I have done incorrectly or overlooked. But, I've now run out of options. Have I missed something?

But Y works fine. When i try to modify bounds by hand, everything works fine; View is positioned and shown correctly, printed coordinates are correct, I receive touch from all of the screen except between 0 and 20 for X. So Left side of the screen is unresponsive to touch events for only 20 pixels. Code I use to modify bounds: self.view.bounds = CGRectMake(-180.0f, 0.0f, 680.0f, 480.0f); What might be causing this? Weird!

    A page within our MOSS publishing website has a property which is a lookup field. I only want the selected text to be displayed when you view the page not in edit mode, but when I use the Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls.LookupField it generates a hyperlink to the SharePoint list item (obviously bad). Is there a way around this, short of creating my own lookup field control?

  • jquery ui-tabs widget , changing the color of the background with css causes problem with display

    I'm using the jquery tabs plugin and want to have the background a light grey color. In the css section for tabs, I found this line of code where I manually added the background-color part: .ui-tabs .ui-tabs-panel { padding: 1em 1em; display: block; border-width: 0; background-color:#EEEEEE;} The problem comes as seen in the picture below, where the grey background is only extending down part of the way. I initially thought I could update the div container with the same background color, but it didn't work. It looks like that white portion below might be some kind of padding, so I looked for that in the css but everything I tried had the same effect. Anyone got some ideas?   • RegularExpression Validator doesn't display error message.

    I have a regular expression validation control initialized to validate a textbox control. I want users to be able to enter U.S. Currency values ($12,115.85 or 1500.22 etc.). I found a regular expression off of regexlib website that does the trick. The validation control seems to be working except for one crucial thing. If invalid data is entered, the validation text dispalys (a red "*" next to the textbox), but the page will still submit and the error message won't pop up... I thought that the error message is supposed to display and the page won't submit if the validation control detects invalid data. Isn't this automatic with ASP .NET? I have searched extensively on how to create validation controls, but haven't found anything different than what I am already doing.     I'm developing a Cocoa desktop application that uses a source list in the style of iTunes: different elements in the source list cause the main content area to display different views. The content area is entirely filled with a (vertical) NSSplitView; on the left is an NSOutlineView source list. When the user selects an item on the left, the relevant view appears on the right side of the splitter. I can make it work well enough by putting everything in one NIB file and putting a borderless NSTabView to the right of the splitter; to switch views, I just have to change the selected tab. But putting all the views in one NIB is bad practice, so I'm trying to move each of the subviews into their own NIB files. I have a pretty good idea of most of this process — I've created an NSViewController subclass for each of these views (EntityDetailViewController, GroupDetailViewController, and so on), set the File's Owner of each new NIB to the relevant controller class, set the view connection in each NIB, and reworked the bindings. What I don't know is how to actually change which subview is being shown on screen. I've tried using the default generic NSView on the right side and sending it addSubview: messages; I've tried connecting to it as the first subview and calling NSView *newSubview = /* get subview from the new subview controller */ [[subview superview] replaceSubview:subview with:newSubview]; [self setSubview:newSubview]; But everything just leaves the space blank. How do I display a subview loaded from a separate NIB?

  • h2 (embedded mode ) database files problem

    There is a h2-database file in my src directory (Java, Eclipse): h2test.db The problem: starting the h2.jar from the command line (and thus the h2 browser interface on port 8082), I have created 2 tables, 'test1' and 'test2' in h2test.db and I have put some data in them; when trying to access them from java code (JDBC), it throws me "table not found exception". A "show tables" from the java code shows a resultset with 0 rows. Also, when creating a new table ('newtest') from the java code (CREATE TABLE ... etc), I cannot see it when starting the h2.jar browser interface afterwards; just the other two tables ('test1' and 'test2') are shown (but then the newly created table 'newtest' is accessible from the java code). I'm inexperienced with embedded databases; I believe I'm doing something fundamentally wrong here. My assumption is, that I'm accessing the same file - once from the java app, and once from the h2 console-browser interface. I cannot seem to understand it, what am I doing wrong here?

    I am trying here to do a manual translation for the application I am working with. (There is already a working LocalizationModule but it's working dodgy, so I can't use <asp:Localize /> tags. Normally with ResourceManager you are supposed to be using it as Namespace.Folder.Resourcename (in an application). Currently I am translating an existing asp.net "website" (not web application so no namespace here....). The resources are located into a folder name "Locales/resources" which contains "fr-ca.resx" and "en-us.resx".   • emacs: force ido-mode to forget history...

    Hi, I wonder if I can keep ido from not remembering my history and only show completions for files that are in the current directory when I am searching for a file. I understand that this history feature is useful at times, but I often end up editing the incorrect file because I think I am editing file called 'abc.txt' in the current directory but in fact I am editing the file by the same name in another one that I previously visited (often happens when there is not an 'abc.txt' in the current directory, as I mistakenly assume). From reading the ido.el file I thought to set in my .emacs file (also evaluated these expressions in running emacs instance): (custom-set-variables '(ido-enable-last-directory-history nil) '(ido-record-commands nil) ) and deleted a file called .ido.last in ~/, but still it remembers some previous files I've visited before making these changes. How can I purge my previous history, and I am not entirely sure what the difference between the two variables above are but seems to have done the trick to keep ido from remembering files I visit in the future?   • Capture *all* display-characters in JavaScript?

    I was given an unusual request recently that I'm having the most difficult time addressing that involves capturing all display-characters when typed into a text box. The set up is as follows: I have a text box that has a maxlength of 10 characters. When the user attempts to type more than 10 characters, I need to notify the user that they're typing beyond the character count limit. The simplest solution would be to specify a maxlength of 11, test the length on every keyup, and truncate back down to 10 characters but this solution seems a bit kludgy. What I'd prefer to do is capture the character before keyup and, depending on whether or not it is a display-character, present the notification to the user and prevent the default action. A white-list would be challenging since we handle a lot of international data. I've played around with every combination of keydown, keypress, and keyup, reading event.keyCode, event.charCode, and event.which, but I can't find a single combination that works across all browsers.   • Epoll in EPOLLET mode returning 2 EPOLLIN before reading from the socket

    The epoll manpage says that a fd registered with EPOLLET(edge triggered) shouldn't notify twice EPOLLIN if no read has been done. So after an EPOLLIN you need to empty the buffer before epoll_wait being able to return a new EPOLLIN on new data. However I'm experiencing problems with this approach as I'm seeing duplicated EPOLLIN events for untouched fds. If i turn off "display:table-cell;" style in Firebug and then turn it back on, it fixes that menu node. any ideas? p.s.: i don't want to mess with the menu itself, since it's a part of a DNN Forum 4.4.3. I'd rather fix the CSS to make it show correctly.

  • PHP site keeps opening to blank page, no errors.

    First, the premises: PHP loaded on IIS6 on Win2003 STD R2 SP2, PHP_5213 using FastCGI, MySQL_5145. Customer sent me the site files, which I unzipped to C:\InetPub\wwwroot\<site root>, then I created a new site in IIS, pointed to <site root>, added test.php to the site files for testing and it works, but visiting index.php produces a blank page with no errors. The readme.txt file present makes reference to application.php and explains root folder var and sets it to a non-existent file. I don't know PHP syntax, but I tried several logical changes with zero results. At this point I'm not even sure if that is the problem anymore. With PHP, MySQL & site debugging have put in over 20 hours. Still confused, I have resorted to heavy drug use and purchased a small firearm, loaded with a single round (even this seemed to take an inordinate amount of time). I've given up all hope. Someone please help save a new server and/or old administrator.

    Our application lets users call phone numbers. Users would like to be able to block their caller ID. On other platforms, we let the user specify a custom dialing prefix. For instance, on my cell provider it's #31#. I've tried two approaches so far. (I know it's not allowed from a web app.) Is this true, or am I missing something obvious?

    Hi I'm inserting an image from the camera (Taking a picture) into the MediaStore.Images.Media datastore. Does anyone know how I can go about displaying the last picture taken? I used Uri image = ContentUris.withAppendedId(externalContentUri, 45); to display an image from the datastore but obviously 45 is not the correct image. I try to pass the information from the previous activity (Camera) to the display activity but I'm assuming due to the photo call back being its own thread the value never gets set.   • PHP: Cyrillic characters not displayed correctly

    Recently I switched hosting from one provider to the other and I have problems displaying Cyrillic characters. The characters which are read from the database are displayed correctly, but characters which are hardcoded in the php file aren't (they are displayed as question marks). The files which contain the php source code are saved in utf-8 form. Help anybody?

My network administrator wants that this information is stored in some LDAP server so that he maintain single store of configuration which he himself can use in other apps/scripts etc. I am looking for some article that walks me through setting up ADAM/AD LDS for storing configuration by authoring custom schema etc and how to setup some authentication infrastructure to protect the data.
