I want to use a name that is guaranteed to not already exist in the database. Is there an SQL command to generate a unique table name? I'm using postgresql if this is implementation-specific.

  • SlickGrid V2.0 Column name/id does not follow column when dragging

    I have an application (using SlickGrid) where I need to get the column name or id at any time when user clicks on a cell (this pulls up a menu specific to the data in that column/cell). Grid works fine initially but if the column is moved (drag/drop), the column name/id does not follow the drop but remains mapped to it's initial column position. Has anyone else seen this and, if so, how did you fix it? Thanks

What I want is to name my controllers InicioControlador instead of InicioController, or better yet, use a prefix instead of a suffix, and have ControladorInicio as my controller name.     I have two similar sites: - two of them have almost exactly the same codes, and running on the same server - both sites are the same, they just use different language. - database of the slower site is populated (maybe only the user table) the other tables for site content is the same - the faster uses root to access database one of the sites is not released yet, so it uses IP Address to access the site instead of domain name the site that is using IP address is faster (lot faster) the site that is using domain name is slower do you know why is this happening what could be the reason?

    I am using g_object_set_data to set user name with event_box so in call back i can get it with in event_box pointer. g_object_set_data(G_OBJECT(event_box), "user_name", (gpointer)(user_name) ); but problem is that i am setting user_name which is not an pointer allocated string. It is an local string (not allocated on hip) which gets destroyed. So is it necessary to allocated and then use the pointer, i just want to associate one name with this event_box.

    I've seen this a couple of times now.  Upon initial installation of a Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, the control panel is a button.  But if you go to the task bar property >> Start Menu tab >> Customize, you will see the option is "Display as a menu".  Click "Display as a link" and press OK, then come back to the same area and select "Display as a menu" will solve the problem.

  • Enable compiz on intel core i5 (Nvidia GT330M) based laptop

    Hi, I am trying to enable compiz on my laptop via Desktop Effects but it does not allow it. I modified the xorg.conf file as on the compiz wiki but still no luck. So can someone just tell me how to enable compiz desktop on an Intel i5 based system. This is an Arrandale processor so its got the graphics bit on the processor itself. My system also has a discrete graphics card (Nvidia GT330M - yup its those hybrid graphics combos n- not Optimus). As far as i know the nvidia gpu is not being used since the intel one is enabled and there is no bios route to disable it. The laptop is a Dell Vostro 3700 with bios version A10 I did lotsa google searches about intel compiz, etc but not a single conclusive guide as to how to enable it. so my guess is it should work out of the box. but it doesn't. glxinfo gives me: name of display: :0.0 Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
