  • jQuery to bind input value to span or div???

    Please excuse me if this is a newbie question. I am new to this. I would like that a user fill out a form with their info and, just before clicking submit, there to be a summary of details area where they confirm their details are correctly entered. So is it possible for me to "bind" specific inputs to specific spans or divs and as they type (or maybe onBlur?) the span would reflect what is written in the respective input???

  • Java, user input to the command line when using Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);

    I dont think this is possible, but I have been using: Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command); to run commands on the command line, but now I have come accross a situation where the command I am running part way through will ask for some user input, for example a username. This can not be resolved by a argument to the command that is being exec, is there any way I can pass the username to the same command line instance and continue? Thanks in advance.

  • jquery datepicker only works on <input type=text> within Chrome?

    I have a very simple page that's usings jquery's datepicker. I have: <input id=datepicker type=image src='cal.png'> When I click on the image in FF/IE, it works as expected, but does not work in Chrome (ver. 4.1.249.1064). However if I simply change to "type=text", it works within Chrome. So my question is this: am I allowed to use Datepicker with "type=image"?

    Some websites have forms with input type="text". And inside these textboxes there is a blurred text, which says for example: "Enter your name here". And then onClick or OnFocus or whatever, the text dissappears and you can type into the textbox. Like the title of posting a question here at stackoverflow, same thing. How is this done easiest way? Would prefer if there was not too much js involved. Thanks

    Is it possible to have a pdf file that asks a user a set of questions and then writes their answers to a file, then next time it is viewed loads those answers as default values? I know pdfs can include javascript and have figured out how to add javascript to a pdf with iText (http://itextpdf.com/) but don't know how to prompt for user input or write to a file from inside the pdf. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Why is my input textbox extending outside margins in BlackBerry and Android, but not iOS?

    I have an input field that is extending well beyond the rest of the page, but as the question alludes to, it appears fine in iOS. I am wondering if anyone has run into this issue. My search button, which in iOS is on the right of the search textbox, actually wraps to the next "line" on the other two platforms. I am not using a table, just inside a div, and the CSS isn't doing anything fancy. Any ideas?

    I would like to make sure if a textbox has any content at all, that jQuery can show it's parent (an <li class="hidden_dedication") element and set add a class of 'shown'.   • I can't connect to mysql on a remote server

    I'm trying to connect from an Ubuntu server to a RHEL6 server using mysql. I've tried telneting into the server as well as trying to connect with mysql. I've tried commenting out the bind-address but didn't have any success with that either. I don't get an error code or anything with telnet. It just fails after a minute or so. With mysql, I get this error code ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'SERVER_IP' (111). "SERVER_IP" is of course a placeholder where actual error gives that actual IP.   • how can I give openvpn clients access to a dns server (bind9) that is located on the same machine as the openvpn server

    I currently have a debian server that is running an openvpn server. I also have a dns server (bind9) that I would like give allow access to by the connected openvpn clients, but I am unsure as of how to do this, I already known how to send dns options to the clients using push "dhcp-option DNS x.x.x.x" but I am just unsure how give the clients access to the dns server that is located on the same machine as the vpn server, so if anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.
