  • User activation problem in JSF by providing a link to user?

    I am giving a link to user to activate his account. Link is http://xyz.in/JSF_WEB_WFE/faces/index.jsp?confirmuser=jona&emailid=valid. I read the parameters in a Beans constructor and then making some decision like, activated / already activated. It works fine in local but while we deploy in web some times it works fine and some time not. what may be the problem. What can we do for better solution?

  • How to get an object of the window which is opened by clicking the link?

    Hi I've got a link on the web page that causes new browser window (tab) to be opened when it's clicked, like this: <a id="lnkNewWindow" target="_blank" href="http://google.com">Open window</a> I want to be able to track the window that will be created after this link is clicked. I'd like to perform some actions after the new window is closed. Is there any way to do this (preferably using jQuery)?

    For the code below:- <asp:LinkButton ID="lbtnTest" runat="server" CssClass="toolbar" CommandArgument="Test" meta:resourcekey="lbtnTest1" OnCommand="ChangeText"> <asp:Literal ID="litTest" Text="My Text" runat="server" meta:resourcekey="litTest" /> </asp:LinkButton> When I remove meta:resourcekey="lbtnTest1" from the link button then litTest is rendered properly whereas if I have meta:resourcekey="lbtnTest1" in link button it doesn't display text for litTest. Any idea what I am doing wrong here?

    I am going to use forms authentication but I want to be able to link the asp.net users to some tables in the db for example If I have a class and students (as roles) I'll have a class students table. I'm planning to put in a Users table containing a simple int userid and ASP.NET username in there and put userid wherever I want to link the users. Does that sound good? any other options of modeling this? it does sound a bit convoluted?

I have used in index.html $('#button3 a').attr({ target: '_top' }); When I call the index.html from an iframe as a src, the page opens in _self. I have tried with _blank and still when clicking on the a link it doesn't open on a new page. Any tips?

How should i go about doing this. (I am creating a gallery) I was thinking about using PHP and MySQL. However for what I am doing I do not really need to store it in a database so is there an easier way of doing it only using html, php or javascript? thanks

  • CommandBinding broken in inner Custom Control when nesting two Custom Controls of the same type.

    I've done a Custom Control in form of a GroupBox but with an extra header which purpose is to hold a button or a stackpanel with buttons at the other side. I've added the a Dependency Property to hold the extra header and I've connected the customized template. Everything works fine until I put one of these controls in another one. Now the wierd stuff begins(at least in my eyes xP), the command binding in the inner control simply isn't set. I tried to use Snoop to gather some data, the see if the inherits is broken and when I clicked on the buttons which isn't doing what I want it to, boom, breakpoint triggered. So in some wierd way the Command isn't set until something that I don't know what it is, happens, which snoops triggers. I've also tried to put the buttons in the regular Header property and that works fine, but not with my own made. I could just switch places with them to make it like I want but now I'm curious to know where the problem lies... Now I wonder, what can I've missed?   • jquery Ui Dialog box opacity / alpha filter broken in IE7/8 when using jquery.effects.fade.js

    Greetings! Goal: transparant ui dialog box in IE7/8 with fade in/out effect upon open/close. Opacity was set in css and works just fine (safari, chrome, ff ie7/8) using native effects blind / explode etc. But when using efects.fade.js on the dialog box the opacity does not work on ie7/8 We want fade in/out because that looks awesome. Anyway here is my code. Any help much appreciated. Maybe something to do with filter or cleartype.   • Is there a way to link text controls in Word 2007?

    I am creating a form in Word 2007, using the controls available in the Developer tab. On my first page, I have the user enter a name into a text control. I want to have a control on the second page to automatically fill in with the same text as the first one. Is there any way to link these controls together?
