  • iPhone current user location coordinates showing as (0,0)

    I'm trying to get the users current latitude and longitude with this viewDidLoad method. The resulting map is correctly indicating the current location however the NSLog consistently shows: 2009-09-19 16:45:29.765 Mapper[671:207] user latitude = 0.000000 2009-09-19 16:45:29.772 Mapper[671:207] user longitude = 0.000000 Anyone know what I am missing here?     How can I get the on-screen location of a button in a toolbar? That is getting the rectangle frame of an NSToolbarItem? The [NSToolbarItem view] method seems to always return nil whenever the toolbar item is only a simple action button and thus I couldn't use the normal NSView methods to pinpoint the toolbar button's on-screen position. Background I'm trying to use Matt Gemmell's MAAttachedWindow component to point to a specific toolbar button. The component requires an NSPoint object to "point" the user to a location on the screen.   • Code to update HyperV Export file

    I am using the HyperV Module from Codeplex to do a "config only" export from a 2008R2 Hyper-V server. In order to import the configuration on another HyperV server, I need to edit the value of CopyVMStorage in the EXP file. This file is an XML file. I wrote the following code in PowerShell to do the update for me. The variable $existing is the existing exp file. $xml = [xml](get-content $existing) $xpath = '//PROPERTY[@NAME ="CopyVmStorage"]' foreach ($node in $xml.SelectNodes($xpath)) {$node.Value = 'TRUE'} $xml.Save($existing) This code makes the correct changes to the XML. However, when I go to import the file on the Hyper-V server, I get an error that says the file format is incorrect. I am wondering if the encoding of the file is incorrect or if there is something else going on. If I edit the file manually in wordpad, it imports without an issue. The filename is a GUID with a .exp extension, and it appears that the file name is too long for notepad to open. Notepad throws an error trying to open the file, which is why I went with WordPad. I have noticed that the file that is updated with PowerShell comes out formatted whereas the raw file is xml all bunched together with no whitespace. Any ideas on what "file format" means in this HyperV error message and how I might be able to use my code to automate this change in the XML without changing the file format?

    Hello - I am building an iFrame and am using document.location.href - my exact code is: <script type="text/javascript"> document.write("<iframe src='http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=" + document.location.href + "&layout=standard&show_faces=false&action=like&font=verdana&colorscheme=light' frameborder=0></iframe>"); </script> This is working great for all of my pages except one. I believe the issue with the one page is caused by a dash "-" being in the page name. My questions is - is there a way to encode my src differently so that the link works? The CORRECT URL I want it to pull is: []/products/Product%252dExample.html But what it IS pulling in is: []/products/Product-Example.html And this is causing the page to not work correctly. Thanks!

What do you think about?

    I have a web page containing something like this: <div onclick="location.href = 'AnotherPage';"> This page also uses asynchronous XMLHttpRequests for some ajax updating. I have found that while an asynchronous XMLHttpRequest is in progress, clicking on this div does not load the new page. If I cancel my request first then it works fine. This seems wrong, but I cannot find any documentation that describes what should happen. So the question is: what should happen to asynchronous XMLHttpRequests in progress when a new page is loaded using location.href?

    In PHP 5.2.3, "fdopen" was used to read/write to a file descriptor that's opened by another application. fdopen(<fileDescriptorId>,"rw"); //It worked fine with PHP 5.2.3 After upgrading PHP to 5.3.2, it's throwing "undefined reference to 'fdopen' function". Please suggest whats the replacement for this in PHP 5.3.2 or any workaround.

  • Getting a JFrame's actual current location

    Hello community, I am trying to create a (child) JFrame which slides out from underneath one side of a second (parent) JFrame. The goal is to then have the child follow the parent around when it is moved, and respond to resizing events. This is somewhat related to this question. I have tried using a ComponentListener, but with this method the child only moves once the parent has come to a stop, whereas I would like the child to move as the parent is dragged around the screen. Another option I attempted was to start a new refresher thread that continually updated the child's location using getLocation() or getLocationOnScreen(), but the lag was the same as with ComponentListener. Is there a way to get the true actual location of a JFrame even in the midst of a drag? or if not, is there a way to get the effect of a sheet sliding out from underneath and following the Frame around?

    I am retrieving the nearest locations available from a given address (Longitude/Latitude) from geolocation website. It works fine, but for some places it gives junk characters in the name. Moreover, in browser I am getting different characters compared to my PHP CURL functionality. Here is the URL http://www.geoplugin.net/extras/nearby.gp?lat=17.7374669&long=83.3214858&limit=5&radius=50&format=php One of the location is "Sitampeta" in original location name, but in browser I am getting "Sitammapeta" where as in CURL function I am getting "SÄ«tammapeta". Please tell me why this difference.     I have a controller Projects in my Rails app with: caches_page :index However, instead of the cached file being generated at /public/projects/index.html it is located at /public/projects.html. The web server (currently Mongrel) looks for */ directories before *.html files. So the http://…/projects request is routed through Rails and my index cache file is never served. How can I tell caches_page :index to generate the file at /public/projects/index.html instead?

    Hi everyone, I'd like to know (from a high level view) what would be required to take a pdf floor plan of a building and determine where exactly you are on that floor plan using GPS coordinates? In addition to location, the user would be presented with a "turn by turn" directions to another point on the map, navigating down hallways, between cubicles, etc. Use case: an iPhone app that determined a user's location and guided them to a conference room or person's office in the building.   • changing window.location without triggering refresh

    I have an AJAX form that submits GET requests. Because these are all GET requests these should be easily bookmark-able. Preferably I'd make my Ajax request, update the screen and then update window.location.href to be the URL for the new page. Unfortunately this reloads the page. Is there any way I can get around this? Basically I'd like the URL bar to be a permalink bar, but it needs to be able to change to keep up with the state of the page. window.location.hash is no good because that doesn't get sent to the server.

  • Program crashes after trying to use a recently created file. C#

    So here is my code if (!File.Exists(pathName)) { File.Create(pathName); } StreamWriter outputFile = new StreamWriter(pathName,true); But whenever I run the program the first time the path with file gets created. However once I get to the StreamWriter line my program crashes because it says my fie is in use by another process. Is there something I'm missing between the File.Create and the StreamWriter statements?
